I thought i might add to the babies yesterday, i had contractions 15 minutes apart for 4 hours, then they stopped. I cleaned up the front room this morning since DH just finished painting it and so lots of stuff was just spread everywhere. Now he needs to get floor boards for the entry way and i need to get the nursery organized and set up as a guest room for my mom, and we are pretty much ready. DS1 needs a haircut and we need to go to Costco to get them both diapers, but that is much less pressing. Oh, you're installing some new flooring? I'm sure you'll go into labor that day. Because that's how things work apparently.

Can't think of anything that will get any kid out faster than an opportunity to interrupt potentially peaceful mommy time.

I'm too tired to even decide what to eat...much less actually eat something.

Hey all! Hope everyone had a great weekend. So far so good over here! Just been getting back in to the newborn routine, which hasn't been too bad since she spends most of the day sleeping right now. The first couple nights were a little difficult, but last night was (dare I say) pretty good. We made it to church this morning and it went really well. I told H he could go to work tomorrow, but to be on standby in case I needed back up (his work is super flexible and understanding, so it wouldn't be a problem if he had to leave). Tomorrow we're going to a friend's house for a play date (she has a son DS's age and a 2mo old baby girl), then to the chiropractor. I'm super excited for my adjustment. My back is still hurting a lot, and I think the epidural made it slightly worse (took a while to get it in the right spot).

Special shout outs to Taitai and duskymonkey there was a time when thinking you'd both make it to October was an impossibility! britt doesn't baby know it's your due date? Were you late w your first? Awww...thanks rebeccabunch ! It is such a huge relief to actually get to October! Like I said in some other thread....just watch and I'll go like 42 weeks...😅😅...please lord no...ðŸ˜ðŸ˜... Yeah...October did not look good but here we are! Definitely stoked and I still cannot believe I may make it to Oct. 2nd! Not for nothing I certainly feel like this with a 20lb bowling ball hanging in my lady bits SaveSaveSaveSave Also super curious as to how thinned out my membranes are at this point.

I still cannot believe we're going to have a baby tomorrow!! We just never ever thought it could ever happen EVER! but here we are and it sounds crazy but I really truly cannot fathom this happening. Still surprised even though I've been pregnant for the last 9 months. Anyway today was a good day and we decided this am to take DS to the pumpkin patch.Today was their first day and they barely had any activities and not that many pumpkins around. DS however still had fun running around the pumpkins, checking out all the tractors and old trucks and ringing the old bells. Glad he's still easily amused with the simple things but he did talk about not being able to pet the animals and go for a train ride. I followed and just sat on a hay bale and soaked in a bit of sun which finally made an appearance. Whilst DS napped this afternoon, hubs did one last cleaning of the bathrooms and I put away laundry and got DS' school bag packed and ready to go for Tuesday. We decided to keep him a home with my mom tomorrow. Logistically it just would be too stressful for hubs to rush around between D/O, P/U and the hospital etc. I'm now about to pull of my sheet mask and hang out with hubs for a bit and shove something substantial in my piehole before midnight cos I am not sure when I'll get to eat tomorrow.

thatgirlrachel, bubblefan, I'll be joining you both and the rest with dealing with DS. I really am not sure what to expect and will just have to roll with the punches. He's also been all about mommy lately. It sounds like you both are doing everything you can and it is what it is with everyone adjusting.

duskymonkey Eeeeekkkkk!!! So excited for your big day tomorrow! I wish you the best of luck and I will eagerly be awaiting the happy news of baby dusky's arrival. Don't forget to pack a sheet mask in your hospital bag too! Hahahaha 😅😅 (...I have 2 in mine...I'm addicted aren't I? 😅). thatgirlrachel Just wanted to send you hugs and let you know that I will probably be feeling the same way. What everyone else has said is really helpful, as I'm sure I will be having those same feels. Hang in there - we'll all get through it, but big transitions like this can be rough for a while for sure.

Thank you all for the kind words and suggestions! I really needed that. I make sure we have some one on one time each day and that definitely helps. Today she actually wanted to pain him some attention so that's a start. And I know it will all get better as time goes on. But man, hormones suck.
