Yay Friday! I was up at least 4 times. I'm so glad today is Friday and my last day of work, for a year!

Excited it's Friday! - for no other reason than it's Friday! DD is a snot factory right now and I'm kind of relieved baby isn't due soon as I'm not sure what to do with squishy newborn and germy toddler. I know I can't protect baby #2 forever but ugh.
Weathers supposed to be beautiful today so I'm hoping to take my students outside for extra recess today to take advantage of it.

Supposed to be lovely weather today! Grocery shopping while DD is at preschool, then I'll probably let the kids play for a bit on her school playground before heading home for lunch. Chiropractor and a trip to the orchard this afternoon. Happy Friday!!!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope all the new moms with outside babies are doing well - I can't believe we have so many already 😀😀
Today was definitely a good way to end the week. Good news on the TB front and I also reached full term (37 weeks!) which has been my big goal for a long time. I can't believe I made it with all the PPROM risks!
Now, just watch - I go like 41 weeks! I definitely ate a ton of food throughout this pregnancy that is supposed to strengthen the amniotic sac (vitamin K, high protein, vitamin C)...so maybe I have like super strong membranes now...😅😅. I guess we'll find out sooner or later!

It's my last day of work until the end of March! And I slept for like 10 hours last night (thanks, Unisom). Today is going to be a good day!

Going to be an interesting two days here since DH has a disaster recovery exercise today and tomorrow for work. He was supposed to travel about an hour and a half away to be with his team, but because it is close to my due date they found a way for him to participate remotely. I am very grateful that he didn't need to travel, but he'll still be out of commission for the next two days. I can barely keep up with DS at this point - thinking about maybe taking him out to run some errands tomorrow to hopefully keep him contained but entertained.
Today is the last day of work I need to finish so that my maternity runs to Christmas, and so far so good! I'm still kind of hoping that baby holds off a little longer so that he's born in October (since I bought a little pumpkin outfit for his newborn pics, lol) but today is really the main day I wanted to make it to!
I was also randomly thinking in the MOTN about how DS and #2 will be 2 years apart, but actually 3 grades apart in school. DS was born July 28 and our age cutoff for school is Sept 1. I'm curious to see how it all plays out, with DS being one of the youngest in his class and #2 being one of the oldest.

I've been up off and on most of the night, which isn't all that unusual. The unusual part was the apple that I needed to eat at 4 am because I had the hungers and couldn't fall back asleep.

We are moving in January and the new state cutoff is October 1. If #2 doesn't come in the next 2 days, we'll be in the same situation. It makes me a little sad, I can't explain it.

DH came to my Dr appt and he was so nervous I was going to be sent to the hospital to deliver, lol. We almost ended the appt without an ultrasound, but then we did another quick one. Still plenty of fluids.

I'm waiting to be seen by the midwife about the burning sensation during urination that I've been having (did I mention that anywhere?). I was so looking forward to coming home and healing and I hate dealing with this and feeling bad. FX they get me fixed right up and tell me it's something simple.

chitownsully & arimaythea we're in that situation. DD is a June baby, so she'll be one of the youngest, and here we have a September 1 cutoff, so DS will be one of the oldest. They're two years apart, but will be 3 grades apart in school. I'm ok with this though because everything I've read says it's better for boys to start later.

It'll be good since #2 is a boy and probably better for him to have an extra year.

This child will be my problem child... I had decreased movement yesterday and this morning I couldn't get a kick count of 10 no matter what I tried, and I usually see a lot of activity in the morning. Cold drinks, warm showers, laying down. Nada. So they brought me in for an NST. The child did not stopped moving once they hooked me up. Of course.

Happy Friday! Work has been slammed today. It must be because Friday + end of the month. I also want to AW that H got offered a promotion today. Woo!! I'm so happy for him and this is the first company that has actually valued him as an employee.
My SIL also sent me a bunch of diapers, burp clothes, and a nursing pillow. So today has been a nice day even if busy.

chitownsully & mkrupar, after posting this I did a little more research and it looks like there are options for both delaying K by a year for DS or requesting early admission for DS2 (if he is born before Oct 15th), should I want to go down either of those routes. DS is currently advanced academically for his age according to our pedi, so I'm not sure I'd necessarily want to delay his entry to K, but we'll have to see where he is socially. I'm not necessarily against them being 3 grades apart. Since they are just barely over 2 years age difference but their birthdays fall just on opposite sides of the age break, it just makes things interesting. And hey, with 3 years difference that's potentially one extra year before college for DS2.

Taitai Congrats on making it full term! curmudgeon Congrats to your H on the promotion. My last day was a short one, my coworkers did pizza and cake. It was so good, it was hard to go back to work and be productive after that. They also go me a gift card which was really nice. It's so weird to know that it will be a year before I go back, I did it before but its weird not to think that I have that responsibility on my plate. H is legit sick, I thought he had a man cold but he came home from work, I made him soup and he went straight up to bed. I really hope I don't get it from him. DD has finished her toddler to preschool transition at daycare. It went well, I totally started crying when I saw one of her teachers and was saying thank you. She's staying in the same center so it's not like I won't see them anymore but it still made me super emotional. I blame the pregnancy.

arimaythea and chitownsully We're also kind of in the same situation over here with the kids being 3 grades apart but only 2.5 yrs apart (DS1 is a March baby, so he will be on the younger side for his class, while DS2 as an October baby will prob be one of the oldest). I'm actually okay with DS2 being on the old side for his grade, just because of my personal experience. As someone who has a really late birthday (right at the cut off), I have always been super super young for my grade...and I kind of didn't like it. I was always the last to do everything (driver's license, voting, R-rated movies, turning 21 to drink with friends), so I wanted to be one of the older kids in my grade! I'm kind of happy neither DS1 or DS2 will be the super young kid - or that makes sense. Might be another way to look at it! thatgirlrachel - Did the doctors figure out what is going on regarding the burning pain you have been having? I hope it gets figured out soon, so you can start feeling better asap! August Blooms - That is so nice what your coworkers did for you! Pizza, cake, and gift cards are always a winning combo!

Happy Friday!
After a blissful two days at the hospital, our first night home was a rough one. Cluster feeding, nipple feeding and a sleepy eater was a bad combo and DH had some kind of anxiety attack so I sent him to bed and watched the baby downstairs on my own. She wouldn't sleep more than one hour at a time. Oh and my feet are balloons. Thanks PP edema. Also when does this bleeding stop? I'm over it.

curmudgeon, Congrats to your H. What a great surprise right before baby comes. thatgirlrachel, just catching up, how are you today? I'm on the mend. I saw the midwife yesterday and the culprit behind my discomfort are some abrasions I got during labor. Once they heal, the burning will stop. It was already much better today thank goodness.
