Did anyone watch Station 19? Im meh on it after the premier. Nice that Tuck was in it I was also meh on it. I probably won't continue watching. It was nice that Tuck was in it, but was he calling Ben "Dad"? As far as I am aware, Tuck's dad continues to be a part of his life, right?

I really don’t care about the Amelia/Owen storyline. We’ve been going through this on/off thing with them for a long time. I guess that’s true for a lot of the relationships, but idk. At this point I think I’d rather he be with Teddy.

I like Arizona but as has been said she hasn't really had much of a storyline lately, so I don't think I will miss her much. But I'm really really going to miss April. I wish they wouldn't have made the decision to have her leave 😓

Maybe he calls Tucker something else. I don’t know though. I don’t know why I’m trying to rationalize the Greysphere lol. I haven’t watched either yet. I do bedtime on Thursday’s and it’s impossible to watch. I will try to catch up tonight.

I feel like if April rides off into the sunset to some far off place, they would just use the Avery jet to meet for weekly custody trade offs, or something similar.
Until she gets school age, which could be another 10 years in Grey's time.

Ellen Pompeo was on Ellen and she was asked if her salary was the reason that Sarah and Jessica were written off and she said no it was because they have been on so long and the writers have no more stories for them. I call bs. I mean it could be the case, but April had stories left.
Maybe if the writers stopped writing the same stories they could have stories for them

They are also grabbing at straws for Meredith storylines and everyone else. This show has been on too long in general. icedcoffee, I kind of get what you are saying about them following Penny but they are talented surgeons who can work anywhere. It's not like they are moving to a super rural area where their talents/ideas could potentially be wasted because of lack of funding or something. They are moving to NYC. I kind of hate Callie for moving so far away from Sofia but I love that Arizona is going to go to give Sofia both of her parents again.

Besides Derrick's death what have they really written for Meredith besides giving her 2 out of the blue siblings

Yeah... Meredith hasn’t had a great storyline in a while. And others. What a weird explanation. I actually agree that Arizona hasn’t had much interesting going on since Callie left, but there is a lot of potential with April.

No one is going to say it?!
"It's not a buffet, Kit!"
“Fifty bucks, Grandpa. For seventy-five, the wife can watch."
No? Did I just show my age? Okay then, carry on, nothing to see.

Also, I'm sorry but Jackson is so sexy and I just don't get that vibe from Maggie. Of course, I didn't get it from April at first either, but I still hate it. I will never like it. I'm being stubborn with this too. I just don't see the chemistry. I bought it with him and April and him and Stephanie, but it's just not there with Maggie.

This episode was okay. Though hard to watch, I thought the scenes with April were the most interesting. Didn't the articles say something about April being let go was because of "where the writing took them"? If that's the case, it does not look good for her. I think she's going to spin out of control hard and go out in a dramatic fashion, as opposed to just quitting medicine or moving across the country. It makes my heart hurt.
It definitely looks like they are setting Arizona up to move back to NYC so Sophia can be with both of her moms in the school that she's happiest in. I'm okay with that, because all of the cases they end up giving to Arizona tend to end with moms or babies dying.

Yeah, I enjoyed Arizona’s medical storylines much more when she was just peds. Her cases are too hard to watch now.
I kind of hope April does have a very dramatic exit. Idk, for some reason it feels like more of a tribute to the character for the show to give their exit that time and attention. Like Lexie, Mark, George... I will never forget their exits. Izzie and Callie just kinda peaced out and weren’t talked about much again.

I legit cannot decide if Ellen Pompek shouldn’t have to apologize for demanding and getting a crazy salary or if she did so without an inclusion rider/consulting or partnering with her cast mates (as far as i know). IIRC she recently sort of criticized Patrick Dempsey bc she tried to get him to partner on a salary deal and he blew her off.

I feel like there's no way that both April & Arizona will have nice, quiet exits. That's not how Grey's works. I predict that Arizona will have an easy departure, moving to NYC with Sophia and maybe girl Deluca? April is going to be killed off. Probably by doing something insane.

It's gotta be either death or jail. Or something so ridiculous she loses her medical license. There's still 5 more episodes I think.

Maybe April’s death/meltdown will be the final straw to get Arizona to leave.

I don't know how much they make, but if it was a money thing wouldn't it be more cost effective to cut a lot of the smaller roles (the interns) than 2 major ones? I feel like no one would really miss the interns and would rather see the main characters more. But, I guess Grey's d oesnt usually care what the viewers want so maybe it's a moot point 😂

I can see phasing out Arizona. It just seems weird to do it to April sinceshe is so much more rooted in the show. Like I feel like there has to be mor to the story to actually firing her.

I definitely agree that Arizona is moving to NYC and I don’t hate that. I really hope they don’t kill off April. I’m so sick of parents dying in this show. It really upsets me. I can see a nice exit of her leaving and taking Harriet and then Jackson just goes to visit occasionally and they drop the kids from the show yet again. I can also see in typical greys fashion they kill her and leave Jackson as a single father and Maggie swoops in and saves them both.

Am I the only person who really doesn't care about April's character? After what she did to Jackson when she went off to Iraq I was kind of done with her. She shut him out when they both needed each other and was a selfish brat...a lot...and it's like, okay, we get it, she's the religious one, everything is about God to her, we have to "test" her in ways that wouldn't bother the others orsomeshit.
#overit
Jackson tried to be great to her and she blew him off. He's such a good guy and didn't deserve it. She didn't deserve him.
I'll sit alone on my couch.
