nellieoleson, how scary, I'm sure this wasn't exactly the news you were hoping for, but it's good that there's already a treatment plan in place. And I'm glad that your H can help take some of the stress off. Sending good thoughts for the MRI too, I hope it's uneventful. Nice to see you valiente! I hope things are going better - we're always happy to have you around.

Big Hugs, nellieoleson! I know that wasn't the news you had hoped for but it sounds like having a plan now is easing some of the stress since this has been such an ongoing issue for so long. I hope they can get that MRI done sooner rather than later. And I'm so glad you are getting help from MIL with the move!

You are welcome Stop by more often! I want to Honestly, it got hard to face you all and hear about your lives with how screwed up my life was. Awwww I can guarantee you none of our lives are perfect. I think it is sometimes hard to talk about the challenges we face and at least you were brave enough to do so. I, for one, could learn a lot from that! We'd love to see you around here more.

I don't know if it was the teeth poll or something else but I had a crazy dream last night! And it felt SOOOO real. I have a loose baby tooth that I'm waiting to get pulled. Anyway I dreamt that because it was loose, it moved and knocked my other teeth loose and I woke up one day and all my front teeth had fallen out. Like legit toothless. I looked in the mirror and my lips were all wrinkly and curved in because there was nothing there to push them out (?!). And it was a Friday and my dentist office isn't open on Friday's so I didn't know what to do! Then I woke up. I checked all my teeth!

I've looked it up, and everything I've read says that dreaming about your teeth falling out means that your anxious or stressed about something.

I am at my wit's end with S. In the last month or so he's started lying, being sneaky, and being outright defiant and destructive. He sneaks out of his bedroom at night to eat candy, he will deliberately go behind my back or wait till I'm distracted to do something that I've told him not to. When I ask why he did something, he says he didn't, even if I saw him do it. Other times I'll tell him he can't do something and he'll look me in the eye and start doing it. When he gets upset he throws things around or kicks things.
The first thing we're doing to stop some of the sneakiness is putting a bell on his door so we can hear when he leaves his room. During the day he won't be allowed to play where we can't see him. I don't know what to do about this

nellieoleson, that sounds scary but excellent that they have a plan for getting it under control. Obviously let us know when the MRI appointment is so we can pray / keep you in our thoughts.

diamondsndaisies glad you made the trip! 😘 welcome to our weekly therapy thread! scorpioscuba dreams like that freak me out! Glad you have all your teeth lollipop I heard it's totally developmentally appropriate between 4 and 7? I've also heard not to question them (giving more opportunity to lie), but rather state what you saw and what the rule is or what the consequence is for that behavior. I'm trying to remember this myself. My dd1 is starting to pull similar crap. nellieoleson I'm glad you don't feel alone anymore. I hope they find a good solution and that the tests are easy for her. Please keep us posted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

At the hospital for hubs surgery. We had to get up at 4:30. L has been a champ. Crappy night of sleep all around. Hubs was nervous, I am sick, L was stuffy and at 1:30 I woke up to the sound of hooves on the driveway. Never a good sound. So up I got to go round up two escaped horses.

We have swimming lessons today and I think I'm going to skip bringing dd3 in the pool. It's our last class for a while and I want to watch the big girls swim. The older two are going to my moms tonight for a sleeepiver and I'm trying to figure out what to do with dh. It's suppose to be hot. I kind of want to do yard work, but he wants a date. I feel lame for being so lame.

DS has a double ear infection. What's worse is that last week my husband was like should we bring him in to get checked out? He seems like he might have an ear infection. I said nah he's just teething and I gave him my cold 😳

And just as I was starting to feel like I was making good progress on the weight loss, DD1 jumps in to keep my self-confidence in check. Going up to bed: DD1: "Mama, is there a baby in your tummy?" Me: ?? No, why? DD1: Because you have a fat tummy! ::giggle:: Me:

kcrkcs, I hope the surgery goes well and you can all get some rest tonight. dizzycooks, it's totally understandable - when have a list of to-dos that you feel like you're ignoring it can be hard to have fun. Adulting sucks. Hope the ear infection clears up, kittenmittens. crimsonandclover, kids, sigh. My LO thinks its so funny to squish in my belly when going for my belly button. My LO started preschool yesterday! Such a big boy. When I dropped him off he was so excited to play with new toys that he didn't even care I was leaving.

Surgery went well although not with the hoped for outcome. So that means maybe will have to go for round two elsewhere. But the good news is they didn't screw anything up and they made it substantially better so, success. Hubs is not good with anesthesia or doctors in general and has been in full manchild mode. He just fell asleep and I am relieved. 😬

The DDs have 1 week off preschool for holidays and I took the week off work. The fun week started this morning with DDs 1+2 fighting with each other all.morning.long. Do you think there are boarding schools that take kids week-wise during holidays when their regular kids' rooms are empty?
On a positive note, I managed to actually make it through all of May without accepting any new freelance jobs. That was my goal, but I wasn't entirely sure I could manage it. Now it's time to get back to the grind, though.

Any big plans for the weekend?
We are headed to the mall with a Lego store after DD wakes up from her nap. We promised DS a trip once he finally got his first loose tooth out. It has seriously been a weeks long dramatic ordeal. As excited as he was to finally have a loose tooth he was terrified of it hurting and/or bleeding. It finally fell out last night while wrestling with H.

S is going to my mom's for a sleep over tonight. And H is going out. I'm going to do some laundry and finish setting up an Uber account so I can deliver food and make some money. I'm not sure how well it will work out, but at this point, it's better than nothing, and I can keep applying for jobs in my spare time.

We are having a garage sale today and been so busy the last few days getting ready for it. It's actually been great to have the distraction.
Sale is going well so far, but I really hate making small talk with strangers! I keep making excuses to grab stuff from inside. Ha.

I worked this morning and then we took L to the beach since hubs was feeling good. She had a great time but it was definitely more than hubs should have done. So we are back home resting. nellieoleson small talk with strangers is my night mare. lollipop good for you giving something a shot! scorpioscuba I don't know who would have more fun in a Lego store. L or us 😬 crimsonandclover I hope the rest of your holiday goes smoother!
