Who does this and what kind of wrap, sling or carrier do you use??
I got 2 different wraps - one of them is lile the moby wrap and stretchy the other is of a tighter fabric - but can't for the life of me get them sorted...my sister showed me and D was securely and cosily wrapped up and seemed to like it a lot but MH&I havent been able to redo it ourselves. I watched a ton of youtube vids.. and doesnt seem too difficult but I will be damned if I can do it with a RL wrap and baby!
Am wondering whether a carrier of some kind would be more my thing - at least from the perspective of putting it on and her in it. But then we will have to buy several whenever she grows?

I have 3 and j seems to like them. I have the Moby and it's my favorite but it's hard to get on fast. DH has to hold j while I tie it but j likes it best.
I have an infant carrier he mostly likes that I can put on while holding him and can get out of easily if he falls asleep.
I have a slung that is just ok. He thinks it is just ok and it's hard to get him out if he falls asleep. It is easy to get him into though by myself.

king26 how did you learn how to wrap/tie the moby wrap? Youtube tuts or did you have someone show and teach you? Any tips and tricks to share?? I like the idea of the moby and think it is real comfi for both mama and baby but it frustrates me to no end while trying to wrap it and tie it. And what kind of baby carrier do you have? Does it just fit newborns or can J still go in it when he gets bigger?

N Carrier is newborn only and my cousin gave it to me. I watched you tube for the Moby wrap. Sometimes it works better than others but I practice without him I it too it always feels like it's going to be too tight but it isnt

I have the ergo, with an infant insert that A almost seems grown out of. I use it for walks with the dog or out shopping and MH will wear it too.
I have the sling, but can't seem to find the proper fit with it. Idk if it'll be better once he has more neck control? I also have a moby but have yet to try it. Such a huge piece of fabric. Quite intimidating.

I have the baby Bjorn and it works but sometimes I ant to snuggle him more. I have the k'tan but the small is too small and the medium i exchanged it for seems to be too big. I'm going to return it and debating on the moby or the boba. I'm worried about being able to tie him up into though so idk.

He just had a major meltdown so DH held him while wrapped it. It tiok 4 minutez but he is cuerentlt sleeping in iy and i have my hands free

I have a Moby and a Lillebaby. The Moby is ok but I do have difficulty getting it tied correctly sometimes and I don't feel as secure with her in that one. I used YouTube videos to learn a how to tie it. The Lillebaby is much easier but she's a little bit small for it still, I have to roll up a blanket in the bottom to prop her up. It will definitely be better when she's a bit bigger but I feel more secure with her in that one and I use it when we go to the store and stuff because it's much easier to get her in and out of. She seems to like both.

I legit hate babywearing. Thankfully DS1 hated being worn. I have a feeling we'll have to wear at least one of the twins once we start taking public transit everywhere.
I have a Moby and an Ergo. I prefer to use the Ergo. Even with those youtube videos, the moby never felt secure to me.

I have a Moby and an Ergo with the infant insert. E likes the ergo but isn't a fan of the Moby so far. The Ergo gets really hot with the insert though.

I bought an Ergo for DH. Do you think that's a good option for him? He works for himself and has to make house calls and go to auctions so he'll need to take J with him and I thought that would be a good "man" carrier. We haven't opened it yet though. Thoughts?

I have a bajillion carriers it seems. A Boba wrap (its thicker like the Moby), a Solly baby wrap, a Boba 4G, a LΓLLΓbaby all seasons, and a Boba air. Right now I'm using either the Solly or the Boba 4G.
Tying a wrap takes a lot of practice but once you get the hang of it, isn't so bad. I've been using the Boba a lot because it's way easier to get the baby in and out. Plus I use the pocket to put my keys/phone/credit card in while out and about.
Baby wearing is trial and error for what works for you and baby. If any of you have a baby wearing international chapter near you, the meetings are great resources for how to use different carriers. Most chapters also have a lending library that you can borrow from to try different carriers before you buy them.

pennylane what's the difference between all the bobas you have and which is your favorite? The Boba wrap is just a fabric wrap that you have to tie. The material is thicker so it gets warm. It's great to use when it's not 80+ degrees. The 4G I use the most is a soft structured carrier, and comes with the infant insert. The insert is super easy and not bulky like the Ergo. So I front carry the baby in it, but can easily snap out the insert and back carry the toddler. I back carried DS in it while pregnant (no joke). It goes up to 45 lbs so you can use it for years. The Boba air is a thin kind of nylon material that is not as hot during the summer months. Not great for small babies, but I used it with DS when it was hot and he wasn't walking yet (so like 9-18 months). It also folds up into a tiny pouch so I keep it in the car for random occasions.

I have the boba 4g and so far love it. Like penny said above, it's useful for years and feels nice and sturdy to me. M really likes it too so far so win win

king26, MH doesn't mind the ergo at all. He finds it pretty comfortable but his only issue is he can't snap the closure on the back by himself.

I have a sling and an ergo. I liked the sling but he already is grown out of it. The ergo is great and MH likes to wear it when we are at the store. I use it at home a lot when I need to go in and out and he is fussy, it seems to calm him. I use it to wear my 1 year old on my back as well

Is the ergo a brand or the model?
I was looking at carriers today. A friend loves the BabybjΓΆrn carriers and they do look to be comfi and sounds great but are pretty pricy. Then again you can use them for several years so...

Ben loves to wear him in it and it doesn't kill my back despite my history of chronic back pain.

I actually scored one of those second hand on the Dutch version of Craigslist yesterday (paid 10 bucks -what a steal and i figured that if for whatever reason she or we didn't like it it was just a tenner)! Review so far: me and MH love it for the ease of putting it on and her in it. D. is undecided yet. She seemed to like it at first but after 20min orso started getting fussy a bit. She did like being on the wrap that one time my sister had helped me so we will see. I also scores a Lodger slingwrap (?) yesterday which my mum will pick up this weekend. Cant wait to try that one out. It seems rather comfi for baby!

I have an Ergo I got as a gift that I haven't used yet because M doesn't weigh enough and a Beco Gemini that my boss gave me. I just reached out to her to find out the model so I could look into an infant insert. I had no idea she gave me a $150 carrier !! And also it didn't need an insert there is different settings. So far M likes it and just falls asleep. Been using it when I want my arms. Mostly to cook. I tried on the ring sling and other fancy wraps and carriers. I loved them but I am cheap. The good carriers are so expensive! π°π° esp if you end up buying different kinds cause baby doesnt like um. Who knew that could be a thing heh. Could you look on craigslist maybe for another brand? That is where I got my BB and Lodger from. Costed me 15euro max each tho I did manage to score them rather cheap. Here there are tons of different carriers up for sale 2nd hand and most are still in pretty good shape! Once I know to sure she likes to be in one for longer then 20-30min I plan on buying a Manduca (either 2nd hand or new). Apperently that one is best for babies hips and back, and I have literally only heard good stories from mamas about the manduca.

I love my ring sling. It's so quick and easy once you figure it out. I specifically got it for Oliver so that I would have something quick while also chasing after Molly. With Molly I had a Moby that I was never quite comfortable with, but it did the job. I didn't feel like I could get it tight enough and I preferred using the cheap Mai Tai I got once she was over 10lbs. Then I switched to a standard Tula when she got big enough to use it without an insert. Pic attached because I'm an AW.

This was D the other day when I took her out into the garden for a little while. I sat in the sunshine humming to her and she just passed out - it was so cute (and felt awesome and made my mama heart swell up and melt at the same time.. there just is something about these little ones all passed out and slack and soft and warm and all against you. ππππ)
