Age: He turned 2 on Tuesday. I'm not crying, you're crying.
Milestones: Nothing huge of late. At his checkup, though, his pedi was really impressed with his language. This makes my heart burst with pride since his brothers were both late talkers, who needed speech services.
Challenges: He wants to do it himself and RIGHT NOW. And that pertains to everything.
Funny/cute stories: He woke up screaming at 4am. I ran into his room to find him standing in his crib totally covered by his new Paw Patrol blanket. He went back to sleep easily, and now that I think about it, I'm sure he just woke up scared because he couldn't see anything. I am kind of chuckling about it now.
How are you? Meh. Pretty good.
QOTW: Purse or diaper bag? I'm about over diaper bags at this point. But still need them when we go out for an extended period. I use a Lands End tote so it's not even diaper baggy, but still, I prefer my cross body purse much more.

Age: 2y8m
Milestones: Lots and lots of talking and social milestones
Challenges: Lately he's been pretty darned good. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop...
Funny/cute stories: He likes to tell knock-knock jokes. He is, of course, ridiculously horrible at it!
How are you? Tired but good. Worn out from the kids' schedules.
Anything else? Nope!
QOTW: Purse or diaper bag? I don't carry one anymore, but we used to use a backpack because we were always on the go and it was convenient. I rarely carry a purse, and I keep a stash of diaper supplies/clothes in my trunk.

It makes me feel more confident in "living on the edge" when I run out WITHOUT the diaper bag.

Once when DS2 was around 1, I had to change him at Target in the trunk of my car. I won't go into details, but later I figured out he had norovirus. I had to buy us both new clothes to drive home.
Some perfectly dressed woman stopped to ask me if there was anything she could do to help. I didn't take her up on it, but to this day I'm pretty sure she's the bravest person I've ever met for approaching shit covered people in a Target parking lot in a pair of Louboutins and offering help...

Age: 2 months until 3 years!
Milestones: Finally can jump on the trampoline normally. He's so thrilled!
Challenges: Very demanding of my attention all the time.
Funny/cute stories: He was with his babysitter watching workers pour asphalt and asked,"What is he doing?" Babysitter said,"He's pouring asphalt." LO:"Yep, Mommy says drivers are assholes. That's asshole."
How are you? Sad. Had to say goodbye to my heart dog last week after a brief battle with acute leukemia. He was 14 and just the most perfect dog and I'm just sad.
Anything else? I also need to have a spot on my lip biopsied Monday. I waited to make an appointment for Oct 2nd because September can suck it.
QOTW: Purse or diaper bag? Diaper bag. I've never been one to carry a purse anyway.
