My parents live in Oceanside. I was just there a couple weeks ago. I live in Houston. I'm in South Orange County, so not too far from them. They have a condo in Orange County. I think they bought in 1975 or something.

There are two parts to it and neither is that interesting if you don't really know the people involved. I haven't been involved in any of it so didn't feel invested enough to read more than 12 or so pages. But the gist is: 1) shanado posted about a situation she and her H had at a Fuddruckers with a dude who tried to fight her H and made a racially based comment, that apparently was inaccurate as to her H's actual race. Apparently GBCN started a thread on there (of which I have read zero) bashing shan and saying she's a racist or something. One of their posters (it is suspected, though it could also be an AE from someone here) created an HIH account to take shots at her on the original thread. Which led to people asking if this troll should be banned, which led to... 2) a discussion of cnon, who was banned, and whether or not he was a troll, and whether the Politics board is an echo chamber, and whether the reasons for cnon's banning were actually ever discussed because some posters never remembered hearing a reason and others insisted that it has been rehashed ad nauseum, and so on. Then it went on to the same old TCF conversatio and why some people gave N the benefit of doubt for so long and whether or not people are fake...

We're in the middle of putting ours on the market. There are a few cosmetic things to be done first but I'm so ready to sell. We're renting a house to live in in the meantime, so thankfully we won't have to be juggling showing the house while living there. I don't think I could keep up with making it look show ready and taking care of my baby. How does one kid make such a mess? 😂

Hi elle, welcome! I'm Dani, Canadian, my N16 baby was born a few weeks early on Halloween, I also have a 4yo, and a husband who works offshore (so you'll see me post about Fly Day every few weeks).

I think they bought it for $30k and now they could sell it for $400k or something like that. They rent it out.

Forgive my ignorance, what's Fly Day? Is that when he leaves/comes back? And I can't imagine how difficult that must be, I hate it when my H has to travel for work, and he only does that a few times a year.

There are a few of us here whose husbands work away for various reasons.

elle I have two very important questions for you. Do you like booze? What is your stance on Ed Sheeran? 1. Hahahaha. Yes. When moving into our current house, my H first moved out cases of wine (didn't trust the movers plus we were only living across town). 48 cases. 😳 Other than wine, my preferred tipple is gin, either as a g&t or a martini, depending on my mood. 2. I'm not super familiar with his music, although I have to admit The Shape of You is catchy, and I give him some props for adding Kandi to the writing credits since it's so similar to No Scrubs, though that was probably the very least he could do. On the other hand he seems to represent the nice guy (who's not actually so nice but a closet entitled dudebro) but that may be unfair of me since I don't know him personally, that's just sort of the impression he gives off. I do think it was unnecessary for people to get so assy over his brief GOT cameo, but I suppose the internet will always internet. tl;dr - conflicted, I guess? lol

Also, hi elle! I have two boys, 3.5 years old and 10 months (today!) old. I'm currently in the middle of being murdered by a stomach bug. Oh, and I'm in Seattle so it's nice to see another west coaster!

Is anyone on the mini pill and gotten their period back? If so, does it just come whenever it wants? With the regular one, it's the last week, but I can't remember and pretty sure it's coming. Major backache and some cramps. I'm pissed if I'm still nursing and pumping twice a day and I only got 10 months pp period free, I swear it was longer last time.
