I'll start this early.
It's going to be a long day. This one project I am working on is super tedious and annoying. It's taking forever to get through. I can't stand it.

Oh no misspeansmama, projects like that are the worst. I am sitting at gymnastics, watching DD bounce around, she just does not stop moving. I am glad other people are tiring her out 🙂

This has been the longest week ever, and it's only Wednesday. How?
I spent the better part of yesterday panicking after I realized I was on day 30 of my cycle that's been very consistently 28/29 days recently. So much so that I took a test last night, and was relieved to see a negative, which I think is the first time that's happened to me, ever. But I feel like I'm finally really settling into the idea of being a OAD family, and was not ready for that. So at least now I know it's probably just a weird cycle.
H has made zero progress on our closet/bedroom overhaul since he tore our closet apart this weekend, which I'm not too surprised about, but I'm also getting sick of our bedroom being in shambles and living out of the guest room closet. He's taking Friday off to work on things, so I'm really hoping he gets the closet put back together this weekend, and then we can move on to painting the bedroom and getting new furniture!

jillywilly, Sorry for the wonky cycle. I know how my that can cause a person to freak. Hopefully YH can get your closet finished. DIY projects always seem to take longer than you plan for.

I went in this morning for like an hour & 15 minutes to cover someone & then I go back for 2 to cover lunch/recess. It's getting kind of redundant though & I'm in the mindset of being just a "sub" so I can't help but think how much more the actual monitors are getting paid than me. Lol so I have a idgaf attitude about all their stupid rules for the kids. Anyway, my sub teaching license was issued & my contact at the administration office who was the one that hired me already said I'm on the list when I guess she got the notification that I was good to go. Now I'm curious how that's gonna go.

To be fair, I knew the closet wasn't going to be done until next weekend at the earliest, I'm just sick of the extra hassle when I'm getting ready in the morning, lol. But I keep telling myself it'll be totally worth it once it's done, which it totally will!

Good luck with the substitute teaching, NamasteBirches! Hopefully they call you for teaching sub positions quickly and it works a little better for you than the other sub positions you've had lately

We knew it was going to be 1 - 1.5 years before we finished, but the mess is getting to me. There's just a bunch of stuff that doesn't have a home right now, so it's all sitting around in various temporary places. DH keeps telling me we need to clean the house...but it's not a matter of cleanliness. It's just we have no where to put anything so it's cluttered.

We have a soccer game tonight. At least today's high is low 80s vs yesterday pushing 90. It's also at 6 so it should be "cooling" down at that point. There's supposed to be sporadic showers later so hopefully they stay away at that point too. I'm honestly looking forward to this season being over. I need a break. It's been good & a different experience compared to instructional, it just seems more tiring. Lol

Good luck NamasteBirches! Maybe you should move here. Our district has 0 sub teachers from what I hear. Neither does the school my sister works at. She and the other teachers at her school were actually told they are not allowed to call in sick b/c they have no coverage. It's crazy!

Hi everyone, I am freaking drowning in work and life. I have to be honest that I am feeling bitterness toward my husband today, on his birthday. Because his birthday is now one more thing for me to do things for: get him a cake, dinner, etc. Just like everything else in this house: kid's birthday, her doctors appointments, her school forms and everything there, insurances, bills, etc. And I also work full time, just like him. we have talked about this at least 100 times and it's always just the same. Rant over.

Hi ladies! I guess I haven't checked in here in awhile, I didn't know you got a job NamasteBirches! That's exciting! This week (and last week) is super intense at work. Big deliverable due and lots of pressure to get it done, and done well, on time. I'm looking forward to next week when it's off our plates. twohopes, I'm sorry you're being burdened with handling all the household stuff. Maybe you should take a solo weekend getaway soon and let YH handle everything!

twohopes, hang in there! I 2nd @rocknroll on taking a solo getaway for 2 reason... 1, it really is nice to get away and relax alone (or with friends) for a bit. 2, it helps H realize how much you really do on a daily basis. For the short term, could you take YH out to dinner & dessert tonight instead of cooking? That might help lessen your burden a little. Go somewhere family friendly so you can bring the kiddo too and don't have to worry about booking a sitter.

Ugh it was so damn hot today. I can't wait until tomorrow. It's supposed to be in the 60s finally. That'll make this more bearable.

Part of my stress is my own damn fault, because I booked a 5 pm work meeting and now it's too late to back out of it. I am just super cranky.

It's been about 90 all week and upper 80's the week before. We are finally supposed to get some cool fall weather tomorrow with temps in the 60s. A 30 degree drop is going to make it feel freezing, but I am very much looking forward to it.

Ugh Dh is stuck at work dealing with bs. He's not sure when he's gonna be done. I'm most likely heading to soccer solo. Fak. Of course today we leave early for pics & all that before the game when having an extra hand is way beneficial. 😭

@chair , I honestly feel like that's just about everyone we know too. Ugh. I swear, my husband is brilliant, and he loves me, and we have a great marriage. He does his share, and he parented almost solo every night and weekend for the 2 years it took to finish my PhD. But still, there is this mental burden of planning and organizing family life that is pretty much entirely on me. Like, I am the one sending cards to his parents and siblings on our behalf; or buying holiday gifts. Like, come on now.
