I'm in the car on the way to the shore with the inlaws! Last week sucked so it will be nice to have a break this week. Then my parents will be visiting at the end of the week. Excitement all around!

We had a nice weekend. I got a little bit of sunshine and pool time on Saturday, after I took the girls to Wal-Mart and the farmers market. On Sunday, the big girl had a great swim class and the teacher said she's ready to move up a level! (oh my goodness, it was only her THIRD week of non-Mommy-and-Me classes!). We also gott some grandparent time yesterday, which was fun.
I'm working from home today. I'm a little nervous that I might have strep. Ugh.

The weekend was good but I am sick with a cold. I'm miserable but getting better. I just hope E doesn't catch it. The weather has been so warm. Ahhh how do I have an 11 month old!!!

The weekend was busy for us and Tapa was being a jerk, so I wasn't around much.
My mom wanted to do a family meal yesterday and it basically turned into a big fiasco. My mom's the type who says come by at 3, but she expects you there at 1 and wont serve food until 4. It's so frustrating. There's more to this story...including 1)she's battling muscular dystrophy and a disk issue but god forbid she asks anyone to help with the food 2)my brother and SIL just had a baby 8 days ago so who knows what their schedule is and 3)my other brother is recovering from mono so no one really wants him around (except my mom).
The passive aggressive mom guilt kept us there later than I wanted. I kept saying that B had a schedule for being home, but no one cares. As I predicted, he cried himself into a nap on the way home at 6pm. Bedtime was therefore a shit show.
Uhhhhhhhh. So frustrating. We will not be accepting any more invitations for late lunches/earl dinners at my parent's place until B is older. Lunch or bust.
K, vent over.

Um. No ellabee. Just no. Especially to a newborn and someone with mono being in the same room.

Today is my ILs last full day here! I'm so so happy! It is also the first day I feel like I am getting back to normal health wise. We have 6 days from Wednesday until our next house guests are here and I'm going to soak it all in. Tomorrow is mh's birthday and R turns 9 months so we are going to do a special dinner and dessert to celebrate tonight.

Omg my mil veteoed eating outside at the boardwalk because it was too early. Um, it's never to early for coconut shrimp. And plus also, easier with the kids. Now we're headed to an Italian restaurant in town with two borderline cranky kids. T&Ps please.

meeggaannw - yea, she just turned 3. We've been doing swim lessons straight through since last July. We've made it a priority because last year, we moved into a house with an in-ground pool. We'll do the same for A beginning in late winter/early spring. Since work keeps us all out of the house from 7 am to 6pm, we do swim class on the weekends. The class times can potentially change every 6 weeks, but it's our only true commitment on the weekend. Everything else (going to the gym, football games, family visits, etc), can be de-prioritized or scheduled around.
