I slept in some since my mom has the boys today. They leave on Wednesday for 10 days and I'm both excited and terrified. I know both boys are going to melt down about half way through. But the house will stay so much cleaner without my parents there lol.

peachsmama Where are your parents going? I'm glad your mom is feeling better! Slow moving is right...I put to bed about 8:15 last night and she was complaining that her tummy hurt. She kept rolling over, like and alligator death roll, but I figured she was just fighting sleep. She finally fell asleep, but woke at 9, scream crying. H went in to see if he could get her back down, but she was hysterical, so I went in and got her and took her to our bed, so I could comfortably lay with her...where she continued the alligator death roll. She finally fell back to sleep, but woke at 11, crying and complaining about her tummy. When she woke this morning, she said her tummy still hurt, but didn't want anything. She pooped yesterday, so I don't know what's up, but I'm tired.

She felt great all morning/early afternoon yesterday. Then we went to the pumpkin patch and the heat got to her again. I'm worried about her going on this trip because the weather is supposed to be pretty hot the whole time. Hopefully she'll stay by the pool though and not get over heated. Really don't want her to end up in a Mexican emergency room with my father who will be screaming "SOMEBODY SPEAK ENGLISH!" Poor E. Hopefully it was a fluke and she feels fine tonight.

Morning! It's the last week of work being busy. Can't wait to have my Thursdays off again.
H bought a rowing machine and is convinced it's going to get him in to shape super fast. So we both used it this morning for the first time. Definitely a good workout, but I need to get used to it. I'm already feeling it.

I didn't fall asleep until midnight because my brain was all over the place, and Josie woke up calling for me at 3:45. It took all of 10 seconds to settle her, but she woke Charlie who screamed ear piercing scream for an additional ten minutes. I broke down in the middle of it (because it felt like an eternity) and gave him 2 ounces of milk. Little bugger actually slept until 730 with the little middle of the night snack. Everyone's still fighting a cold and is so snarfly over here. We have preschool at noon, and I'm going to start playing around with the teachers pay teachers site. I have a lot of stuff that I know is really good and would be really easy to upload and possibly make a few dollars from. @snoop and kim22, have you guys looked at this?

I love that it's a total body workout. I forgot why I didn't pull the trigger on it. Keep me updated, and let me know if you like it long term.

slenle Rowing machines are HARD! I can run 2-3 miles, but can't last 5 minutes on a rower! I looked at getting one a year ago, but the good quality ones are so expensive!

Morning! Sorry I've been MIA the last few days; my sister was here for a visit and we stayed busy. We had a great time and I miss her already. My parents come in tmrw for a few days so that'll be good. slenle I am all too familiar with ergs from my rowing days--I think it's a legalized form of torture but it is a great workout! We used to do timed, ranked 2k tests. I still have nightmares about those 😬

flamingo maybe we should give the new rowers some erg workouts?😂 8x500 sprints? Ugh 2k tests were the worst. The first one they had the whole men's team watching and cheering for us, so embarrassing when I almost puked after pulling a relatively slow time. slenle make sure you have good form and it's such a great workout! My dad recently got one and I am curious to test it out to see if I'd be up for getting back into it.

Off to google rowing machines. I'm picturing like a fake row boat with paddles
ETA: Doesn't look anything like a boat.. I'm disappointed. But it does look like a great workout.

We are at the park and it already feels so hot! Thinking we will do an indoor play place after L naps. I'm hoping L's nap is a long one. I'm tired.

Morning.
Normal Monday here. I'm working and my mom will run the boys to school and then she'll come back and help me with housekeeping. Our busy season is starting up at work.

It was much harder than I expected! I did a HIIT workout so only rowed a few minutes at a time but I was dripping in sweat. And DH is mr frugal so I'm shocked that he dropped a good chunk of change on a machine he had never used before. He better love this thing.

I kinda wish we'd had some cute guys around as motivation...specifically the seniors when I was a freshman

Morning. It's in the 50s and rainy today. Hello fall. We are going to check out a gym in a little bit. They offer free swimming lessons for members, its close to our house and they have a good kids program. I'm hoping it will work for us.

My mom went through the episodes your mom did. It has actually happened several times, but she has always had to stay longer in the hospital, usually several days. It is related to her M.S. though. I'm glad your mom is doing better and hopefully, they will take the proper precautions to keep it from happening again.

guster I know about it and wanted to do it as well but never have. I was also worried because some of my materials have bits and pieces from other places but then I made it my own. So I wondered about copyright infringement. For example I used a lot of readings or visuals from History Alive but made it into a different activity then what their curriculum had.

Morning. I'm working from home since Chase has his 18 month appointment this afternoon. He also has a follow-up with the ENT tomorrow morning, plus I took last Thursday and Friday off. I'm pretty sure my manager thinks I'm interviewing, which is actually fine by me. Let's see if they actually DO anything about it.

I haven't read up on much of it, but I know there is the fair use in education. Most of my stuff is my own lessons, but I have articles and texts from various news sites that I have just given credit to. I'll let you know if the interface is easy to work with.

Morning. My stomach hurts but it might still be nerves. They started demo'ing our kitchen at 8am this morning so this is really happening. I'm kinda in shock.
I have a coworker that is giving me a little trouble. She is micromanaging me and my two schools but I'm pretty sure she's not my boss. She worked on these programs when they were first being developed but now she needs to let go and focus on her own work. Also her husband is on the team I manage so that complicates matters. I need to tread carefully here. Oh and she ran and told our boss on Friday that I couldn't make the parent night this Thursday because my husband is out of town for work. She didn't even wait 5 min before running to tell on me. Anyway, mh cancelled his trip so I will be there now. Not really sure what to do about her though, besides maybe telling her to butt out.

snoopmommymom that's tough. Maybe as you work there longer and she sees that you are competent, she will back off. I feel that happens a lot here. When someone new starts and "takes" something that used to belong to someone else, there are often growing pains. I hope it sorts itself out! ETA - I think you need to remain strong, but not engage in the pettiness. Just keep doing your job and hopefully she'll get the hint.

Morning, all. Tapa is weird now. I don't think I like not being able to see everyone's posts while drafting a comment.
Anyway, I had probably the best night's sleep since B came. She slept 10-7:45. She's been doing MOTN wakeups lately, so this was heavenly. Then a workout this morning. The day is off to a nice start!
My dad has a rowing machine. He would tell any and all how insanely difficult his workout is, and I believed him until I saw him do it. He barely pulls the cord out, and certainly not all the way. I wondered why he didn't have rock hard abs after years of rowing an hour a day. He never gets to the point he would engage his abs. But he's active, and at 71 I'm glad he is!
