Just had an OB appt. Baby is breech. I hope he flips, I reallllly don't want to have another c-section. Sending positive vibes to the babe to flip, how much time do you have (can't remember if you're beginning or end of November)? Thank you. I'm due 11/17. If I need a CS they'll do it at 39w, so he's got about 6 weeks to flip.

LOL laurensc927, I love it. Next year is ten so you can go big then? pootsen, sending you baby flipping vibes! Mine just went head down at 32 or 33 weeks. I think what might have done it is laying on my back with my legs up the wall (and butt propped up on a couple pillows) that I did at yoga. Or at least helped straighten her out! Yours will get there I'm sure. I remember when I googled it, it said at full term 97-99% are head down! Thanks for the good vibes! Yeah my OB gave me a similar stat- she said only 4% of babies are breech at full term. The problem is that I have a slight uterine septum at the top of my uterus, which might hold him in the breech position - this is what happened with my first. I will probably try some inversion exercises.

laurensc927, your family sounds like mine, and your DH's sounds like my DH's. I've been with DH for 12 years and like to think I've corrected a lot of bad habits that were instilled in him. It's crazy seeing how involved he is around the house compared to his own dad. Your child will be just fine with you and your H as examples! This. MH was the same way. I had to teach him everything. I say all the time how I just want to make sure my boys grow up to take care of themselves. The older boys do their own laundry, can cook, clean their own rooms, can do outdoor work, and have a multitude of chores around the house. They can even change a diaper 😂 You and your H will do great laurensc927.

blabbermouth she used to agree that she babied him but lately it's all "you'll understand when this baby is born". It's ok I'll be the worst mother ever b/c my kid will have chores lol. Nothing wrong with raising children to be self sufficient adults quinn! Not to say when I came home from college for the weekend that my mom wouldn't cook me a special meal or do some of my laundry but she also taught me to help out.

paperbagliz that's a lot of baby to carry! One of my bffs has twin girls born vaginally at 39 weeks and they were a little under 7lbs each! I'm excited to hear if they'll induce you a little earlier!

laurensc927 - Wow. One of the things I'm thankful for is that my ILs (both of them) taught DH how to do those things. Frankly, he does all the ironing and a large percentage of the laundry. He isn't much of a cook, so that's on me, but he shares other responsibilities. Good for you for not letting the pattern continue! And happy anniversary!! paperbagliz - hope you get some answers on eviction date. My next scan isn't until next week, but I'm already feeling the pain with probably around 9-10 lbs of babies. Hopefully you are resting!

laurensc927 I will never understand why it is a point of pride with some women that they've raised completely incapable children. And it's not a "just you wait" situation. It's about the values you instill in your kids. What if you get hit by a bus or run off and join the circus? Someone needs to be able to do the damn laundry!!

I'm more confident and vocal about what I believe and what's right for our little family.

I'm in the carline waiting for DD, but then I'll be on the couch with my late lunch of Mellow Mushroom.

laurensc927, I would be saying something like "good job for being proud of yourself for raising a man that can't do anything for himself" H is slightly like that, but he steps up when I ask him to do things. Like today when I had my GTT I came back to a nice clean(ish, H's clean not my clean lol) house and all hoovered, without me asking. My BFF has the attitude that she should do EVERYTHING in the house, and for her H and her kids. I just literally roll my eyes and say you are making extra work for yourself and teaching the kids nothing. My 2 year old puts his dirty clothes in the washing machine (when asked to lol, or I would find clean clothes in there) and cleans up all his toys of an evening before bed. Apparently I expect to much of him lol... nope, you make the mess you clean it up, you want clean clothes, put it in the washing machine/wash basket

Thanks! 1. Could be stretching, could be gas, or baby has it's foot stuck up there lol try switching positions and see if it helps. Hope it goes away soon for you! 2. You cannot get the flu shot if you have an egg allergy. However, my mom has a severe egg allergy and still gets the shot through the nasal spray I think? She works in a hospital so I know she gets it every year, it's just a different kind. Thanks, I had never heard this before and I don't remember my pharmacy asking about food allergies. On every waiver I have had to sign for the flu shot, they ask if you are allergic to eggs. They definitely should be asking!

quinn FYI for your mom, according to the Target pharmacy near me they do make an egg free flu shot now (unfortunately mine doesn't' have it so I will be calling around). Also the mist is not approved for this year. It wasn't as effective and there were side effects or something. thatgolfb will likely have more info to share I am ill equipped because I actually didn't know this! lol.

I'd rather he not get it then deal with the whining of him being sick and forever reminding me that he got the flu because I made him get the spray lol The chances of him getting the flu from the flu mist are still really low, even though it is a live virus. The people that should be concerned are those with compromised immune systems, which would include us because pregnant. But your H should be fine!

DH is far more capable around the house than I am. He does need me to ask when something needs to be done, but he actually enjoys cooking (which is good because I hate it). Baking is more of my jam. DS helps with chores too ... we got him a kid dyson that he's obsessed with lol. He will help with laundry and picking up stuff too.
I spent way too much money at Target today, but we should be stocked for awhile with paper products. I got stuff for my hospital bag. I also stopped at the consignment store and picked up a first Thanksgiving and first Halloween outfit. Also, a Columbia brand fleece jacket for DS for $8 woot woot.

I can tell most of the time mine is head down, but at least once a day I feel a huge movement then a foot shoves out my oblique because she's turned sideways.

So the latest in convoluted things my MIL says: We're talking last night and I make a comment about how she did EVERYTHING for MH growing up until she moved out/around the time he went to college. I mean everything like washing/folding and putting away his clothes through high school, not letting him or his father help clear the table after dinner, etc. She called it being a mother. I said yes but part of that is teaching a child how to be a responsible/functioning adult. She then went on to say how proud she is of him for doing things like starting a load of laundry and doing the dishes because not only did he not have to do it growing up but he didn't witness his dad doing it. I told her the only reason he does those things is because I've spent the last 10 years (how long we've lived together) training him to do it. She doesn't understand that as his parent she should have taught him to help clear the table and clean up after dinner that it shouldn't have been his wife's responsibility to teach him. She thinks I'll understand once this baby is born but I don't think so since I grew up in a house where both my brother and I had chores, my dad helped cook dinner and he was usually the last one in the kitchen cleaning up after everyone else had left. Meanwhile at home MH did the dishes from dinner while I was at his mom's for 2 hours, so at least I have faith that if this baby is a boy his future significant other will not have to do what I did lol. this reminds me of something i read awhile back written by a husband. It was called something along the lines of " I don't help my wife". It was good. I think of this daily knowing that I am going to be raising two future fathers/husbands. My best friend growing up had a father and younger brother who were not allowed to lift a finger to help around the house. I recall her mother making her make her brothers plate and get him his drink at dinner when we were in high school. I thought it was the oddest thing in the world, still do! For those interested...http://lessonslearnedinlife.com/i-do-not-help-my-wife/

Last night DS2 and I went to my mommy group. They were giving out these burp cloths to mommas of new babies. There was only 2 mommas there with little ones under 6 months, so they gave one to me since I was the one due the soonest. It didn't hit me until I got home and was telling H, that this is the first gift for this baby besides the little teddy bear and going home outfit H & I got him/her.
