Most of the kids on DS's teeball team didn't know how to hold a bat or which hand to put the glove on when they started. It's adorable.

I actually managed to somewhat teach my kid some basic baseball skills today. He was even able to get some hits from some generous pitches (and had some foul tips on a few that I threw a bit harder than necessary). He still has to coordination of a 6 year old, but he did pretty well. I'm an awful coach for newbies, so I'm happy I only made him cry once when he missed and it hit him in the gut. My almost 6 year old plays tee ball and he is just...not good. Like no coordination whatsoever. He loves to play but it is just so hard to watch. His will be too, but I didn't want to buy a tee and he wanted to hit. Basketball was awful to awful, so I'm scared for what this will be. At least there are a couple kids from his K class that we have seen at parties so we can cringe together. |

readyornot, that's amazing! I love under wallpaper finds. DH's dad has a basketball backboard that he painted in 1976 that I would love to get my hands on and hang in my house. It was an extremely tedious taske. Like 4 layers of 40yo wallpaper. This is not my idea of fun, but I'm a sucker for family mementos & I was determined to uncover it! |

Ooh was it fun? My bother has been wanting to take ds It's not super close to me but I guess depending on where you came from it would be my neck of the woods! It was fun. We bought the season passes because it was a good deal. We had to take mainly 476 and 76 through pa to get there. |

This day has been longest and shortest ever. On a scale of one to horrible, how bad would it be to chug triple sec, sour apple or amaretto? Because that's the only alcohol I have besides beer and beer not strong enough.

I Loooved The Bone Clocks. I actually really liked the ending too. I would talk about it anytime, even if it's a thread with three people. But Bunny, I wanted to say, if you like books where characters intertwine you should try Ursula Under. It was weird but really interesting. Adding it to my list. This is basically how I discover all of my favorites. I have something I like, someone else I know (usually my sister) has read it and suggests something I might like based on the original read. The main story is that a 2 year old girl falls down a well (not as traumatizing as it sounds) and the book is her rescue story. But she has a Finnish (I think?) mom and her dad is of Chinese descent (again, I think?...it's been a while). The cool part is, a chapter will start with something like "he didn't know it of course, but that cashier at Walmart was his third cousin twice removed and their ancestors had a long-running feud." |
