cythe That sucks. Big time. But enjoy your candy. seventythree Be kind to yourself, you are growing a baby and have a toddler. And I can't remember if you were working or not but any one of those things can kick your ass. Try to enjoy the last day or so before your induction. Taitai I watched that Daniel Tiger episode with DD and I cried too. She started rubbing my belly and saying baby sister. Too sweet.

cythe, sorry that sucks. FX this baby decides to come soon! seventythree, that would annoy me too. We don't want anyone to know the name ahead of time because for some reason people think that's an invitation for them to suggest alternatives they like better or tell you they don't like that name and you should pick something else. Whereas after they're born it's more final and people keep their mouth shut if they don't like it. My mother wants us to name baby after her sister which isn't a bad name but with our last name, it ends up sounding like a stripper name so we had to toss it. I didn't tell her that. When she suggested it I just said 'hmmm.'

I am tired and have slight swelling from the heat and the walk we took after dinner to get frozen yogurt. I've got my feet up Masterchef on and a big cold glass of water.
My hormones are out of control, I saw this IKEA commercial that is only airing here and bawled my eyes out. I'm going to have to change the channel the next time it comes on, DD likes to sing the song and seeing my city and content = ðŸ˜
I case anyone wants to watch it

My grandfather is home from the hospital today! He got surgery to install a pacemaker late yesterday afternoon and was discharged this evening. So glad things are going smoothly there.
Got a lot of little odds and ends today for the nursery to help finish up the room, as well as started washing all the tiny baby things. Gotta build the dresser tomorrow then the nursery will mostly be done except for decorating and organizing.
I've also been having BH super consistently now. Not consistent enough to be labor - but enough to really make me question if I might end up with a September baby. I don't remember having many BH with DS, or at least confused them more with exaggerated movement from baby.
ETA: I'm super excited for all the babies that will be happening this week! I wonder how many unscheduled babies will make their appearances along with the scheduled ones? Almost seeming more like an S17 group than O17 at this rate haha.

Candy update : seems unlikely to induce labor. Has successfully given me a tummy ache.

cythe I'm so sorry about YH. Stupid, Maria. seventythree Agree. Everything about this pregnancy is harder than the last one. I was going to the gym AND lifting at 39 weeks last time. This time? Lol. Also, I'd be annoyed about the name reveal too! @armature So glad to hear about your grandpa!

I think H has his man period this weekend... he's been such a joy (🙄) to be around. Rough day for DD, she fell off a chair and also got her leg twisted when she and H we're going down a slide. I was able to work on some projects for sequel/DD so I hope I can continue to be productive this week. My motivation to do things is slowly decreasing. I also got all the burp cloths soaking so I can wash them tomorrow and pretty much be done with baby laundry. cythe I'm sorry your H has to go out again. I hope that his time out there will go by fast. I can't believe there are so many babies coming this week! How are we all this close to delivery?

So since they have such short notice of going underway again, some of the guys don't get to go home before they set out again. One of my husband's co-workers' wife doesn't drive and is going to need to hit the grocery store soon. Since she doesn't drive, he asked if I'd be willing to drive her. We've never met, but it's what you do, you know? Anyway, I guess she was a little worried about stranger danger so my H tried to calm their fears. Thanks, H.

For science. A week before I was due I made these supposed labor inducing lemon cupcakes, they had SO much lemon. I read so many stories of them working, but of course didn’t work for me. I basically ate the entire batch...for science

arimaythea Glad things are better with your grandfather. cythe 😂 At your husband. mine would probably say something similar. I have a mid October due day, sounds like you guys have some good ideas about how to induce labor if I get to that point.

I have a massage today, yay! Then maybe running a couple of errands and the grocery store.
I'm not really wanting to go to work tomorrow. I wonder if there will even be anything for me to do.

Hanging out next door at the in-laws to watch football since the Ravens are playing in England this morning. Building the dresser and getting groceries later. Just enjoying the chance to sit down for the moment!

It took me forever to get the tapatalk app to work. Not sure if it was the app or iPhone update but my goodness!
DS has the croup and he’s just pitiful. He’s barely eating due to pain. Luckily he’s being good about fluids. It’s rainy and cold today so looks like a pajama and movie day.

Low key weekend, we all needed the relaxation. I just showed DD "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" for the first time and I think she liked it Trying to finish packing the hospital bag, wash/fold baby laundry, get the carseat installed, etc. I have an ultrasound tomorrow to see if baby is still transverse, which I have a feeling she is, so I'm a little anxious about that.

I woke up in a crabby mood and haven't been able to shake it yet. 😣 Me and DD are supposed to go get groceries later but I might just nap instead. A nap always helps right??

I took a nap yesterday while DS napped and it totally messed me up (I rarely nap) and I slept terrible last night. FX you can nap but it doesn't jack up your sleep tonight!

caitost21 I hope DS feels better soon. I'm at my maternity photo shoot. Chillin while they upload the pics. This place is adorable and they have these amazing mini apple spice cupcakes. I think I'm about to be convinced to sign up for their monthly subscription program. Oops.

Dd was grumpy this morning, I thought it was because she was up early. Turns out she's sick, I got her after her nap and she has a fever and is being lethargic.

bootsorhearts1, chitownsully, rachydc, August Blooms, thank you for the kind words! I'm glad it's not just me. I knew this time around could be different, but I wasn't at all prepared for... HOW different. Also trying not to compare myself to others, but I know a few other STMs who don't seem to have had as hard a time as me and it makes me feel some type of way. We're not planning any more kids after this, so I'm also in this weird place of trying to enjoy the last days of being pregnant while feeling miserable and useless. SO MANY EMOSHUNS.

H just asked if I was doing a load of laundry, I said I am, his response "ok I'll just do mine tomorrow." He always does this, as if there is NO WAY to do more than one load in a day. It's only an hour in each machine! And they can run simultaneously! I'm just over here like because I have 3-4 more loads planned between today and tomorrow...

I sometimes regret the "wasted" time, but if I force myself to stay awake and be crabby or sluggish then what's the point?

seventythree, just because they aren't sharing their hard time doesn't mean they aren't having it. I hate being pregnant at all, and going through it this time is making me question if we will have another even though we have always said 3 or 4. Being pregnant with a toddler is the absolute worst. I refuse to believe anyone enjoys it, or is 100% emotionally okay with the abstract concept of dividing time and attention between two kids. ETA: I definitely hide how miserable i am from everyone but H. My go to answer for how I'm doing or feeling is to say either good or if i know them well, I'm hanging in there with a smile. Nothing that would betray that I can't sleep, can't keep up with my toddler, and have contemplated if he is too old to give away every time he has woken me up in the last month.

seventythree I can totally relate. 1st pregnancy seemed so easy. H and I exercised together every evening, walked the dogs, etc. And now I'm miserable and don't want to move. And after avoiding stretch marks the first go 'round, they have shown up with a vengeance this pregnancy. Whenever someone asked how I was feeling I always said I was good, because I don't have any health issues and I know others are having harder pregnancies. But now I'm 3 weeks away and I don't care. I will tell you I feel like I'm slowly dying and this baby needs to get out asap.
