Welcome to the IVF check-in for September 22! Check-ins will be every Monday (babyhopes) and Thursday (bonzo). If we've left you off the check-in, or if you'd like to be added or removed, please let us know! This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF or FET. Please don’t hesitate to use this check-in for IVF/FET info and support even if you’re not currently cycling. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle. Everyone is welcome. Also, please update us along the way! Asterisks will appear by your name if you do not update us in a check-in. After four consecutive asterisks (2 weeks), you will be removed from the list. Don’t fret if you are removed from the list, check in again and we will add you back. Once you get a strong repeat beta, congrats! We eagerly await your 3TIF Grad Check-In posts! We encourage you to intro on PAIF, and while here in the meantime, please consistently use warning tags in posts and siggies, and be mindful of your status, especially on 3TIF outside this check-in. I'm up to four patches EOD and officially on the crazy train. Lining check on Tuesday. I am drinking pomegranate juice and red raspberry leaf tea 2x a day to hopefully help my lining. My nurse scheduled my lining check a little early, so we have time if we need to add something to help my it along.
QOTW: Girl, no. We are all last minute in my family and Thanksgiving will not be thought of until we are a week away. Then we all scramble to figure out who is bringing what, who's house, and have time to shop. I have seriously been thinking of excuses to get out of the holiday's this year.
edit: words as hard

still drowning in studying for the BCBA exam and general work madness! Initial testing is happening in 2 weeks though! DH has to go in for a SA just to make sure we are good to go. PGD probe is done and ready to use whenever we have embryos, which likely will be Jan-Feb.

QOTW: BAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm taking the exam at the beginning of that week. I will worry about Thanksgiving and where we will go to eat it once the test is over.

We're a go for trigger tonight! I'm excited, and also relieved since I feel like my ovaries are about to pop out of my body! babyhopes, to answer your question from the last thread, yep we stimmed only with Menopur this cycle. The last couple days I've been doing 4 vials in the morning and 6 at night! So. Much. Menopur. But I have more follicles with steadier growth than last time, so I'm feeling cautiously hopeful. QOTW: I'll admit, this question was spurred by my aunt and MIL hounding me with questions yesterday. The ILs do two Thanksgiving dinners, one with FIL's extended family and one with MIL's. We used to alternate which IL dinner we went to, and did my family on the other day, but we screwed up our rotation by doing Chanukah/Christmas instead last year, which meant we saw none of the extended family on H's side. So he wants to do both this year, moving which day my family gets....oh and we fly out for all of this. Nothing like family pressure to try to make me crazy right now!

Has anyone done a triple trigger? I'm triggering with Lupron, Ovidrel and Pregnyl tonight, 2nd dose of Lupron in the morning. It was all part of my original med order for this cycle, so I didn't even think to ask why the three rather than just two like last cycle. But as we're getting close to the time for 3 shots in a row, I started thinking about it and was wondering if anyone else had experience!

No experience with three triggers, bonzo, but so excited for your trigger. Thinking of you.

I have heard of using both a Lupron trigger and an HCG trigger, but I didn't think there was a significant difference between Ovidrel and Pregnyl (Ovidrel is recombinant but I don't know what difference that makes for triggering). That's a lot of trigger shots though! But so exciting for you to be to trigger

I haven't been able to easily find any research on triple triggers, just some message board postings that someone's doctor thinks it may help with maturity. Which was one of our issues last time, so maybe?

babyhopes, hope all the lining prep leads to a beautiful lining on Tuesday! skidevil87, good luck with the SHG next cycle fikafairy, good luck studying! bonzo, hope the triple trigger worked well - how are you doing? AFM, three days of stims down. My baseline u/s on Friday looked good, total AFC of about 30. Man, the menopur does sting during that injection! But otherwise I haven't been having any major symptoms, so I can't complain. Go in for another u/s and more blood work in the morning. He estimated I'll only stim through Friday (8 days total), with trigger on Saturday and retrieval on Monday. It sounds like the only day this week I won't have blood work is Tuesday, which is kind of terrible timing because the hospital is about an hour away, and Tuesday is the one day this week that I have to drive to that city for work and could have piggybacked my appointment with getting my mileage reimbursed. QOTW: Doing the same thing we do every year for Thanksgiving - giant extended family dinner at my grandmother's house. This year is my sister's year to come in town for Thanksgiving (she alternates holidays between us and her in-laws), so I'm excited to see her. Plus, my birthday is shortly after Thanksgiving, so we usually have a little birthday cake on Friday or Saturday.

QOTD - Not sure that we'll be doing this year. We normally go to DH's parents' house, or an aunt's house. My family is back in Pennsylvania so we don't get back there more than once a year. I'll be baking bread either way bonzo, babyhopes, skidevil87, fikafairy, daisy818, hoosiermama76,How are uou all doing? {Spoiler}HCG 271. Doctor is very happy and no more betas. Our ultrasound is on the 5th.

We had 7 eggs retrieved yesterday! My recovery was much easier than last time, I don't know if they used a different anesthesia or what. But last time I was nauseous all day, couldn't read or watch TV and vomited twice. This time, no nausea! I still spent the day on the couch, but I was able to watch some Bewitched, and had soup and fried rice. I'm still a little achy this morning, but feeling like I'm mending quickly.

I just got the call from embryology. Nothing fertilized correctly. I think I'm going to give myself a little break from the forum this week.

Not much new for me. Still waiting to stim but this is the week. U/S on Thursday.
QOTW: nope.... holidays are always drama in my family and I can't handle it. So I am trying to claim the unknown IVF schedule means we stay close to home. We shall see.

bonzo, I'm so sorry that's one of my biggest fears. AFM- AF next week, TSH as well as thyroid antibodies- for some reason the doc thinks I have PCOS but with no concrete symptoms. but she can't keep my TSH level, so they switched me to name brand synthroid to see if that helps. After AF comes another SHG and to finish applying for the baby quest grant. DH needs a new car.... so, just terrified that we won't be able to afford any of it.
