Hey All -
Just wondering where your LO's are sleeping these days? I am getting myself all paranoid about her sleeping too often in the RnP and her head becoming deformed, the safety of it and then transitioning to the crib. I'm sure I'm being extra about this.

Not sure if you can tell it's a poll on tapa or just on web view

Mine is in the crib bc he started hating the bassinet.
I can't see the poll on tapa, just on mobile but tapa hates me so others may be able to.

I can't see the poll (I'm on tapa) but P sleeps in the RnP.
DS slept in the RnP until he was between 3-4 months, then he went to the crib. Same plan for this one.

thinkchocolate05, does he sleep better in the crib? Just wondering since it seems like it would be similar to the bassinet. jexxa, was the crib transition hard with DS after the RnP? Am I being nuts worrying about the safeness of RnP?

I've been rotating him around from the pnp to the rnp to on me to next to me in bed. He naps in his rnp or swing or crib. Didn't seem to have a rhyme or reason as to preferring any so I feel lucky in that regard..

jexxa, was the crib transition hard with DS after the RnP? Am I being nuts worrying about the safeness of RnP? I don't remember it being overly hard, no. After he had been in the crib for about a week though, he got RSV so we ended up putting him back in the RnP since he was having so much trouble breathing. I was a nervous wreck putting him in the crib - I was constantly checking on him to make sure he was breathing, lol. I don't think you're nuts. I don't think most pedis recommend letting them sleep in it because it's not a flat surface.

Bassinet mostly. We just bought a RNP but he isn't sure about it. Those of you who use a RNP do you buckle child in and does it rock while they sleep?
If like to use the PNP but he won't sleep more thank an hour thrre

My DS1 hated the bassinet, even when we used books toamgle it. He had terrible reflux and did much better in rnp. I also partially coslept with him (something I swore I wouldn't do) sonhis transition into the crib was not fun. I ended sleep training at 6 months and by 9 he was good. He used to have to fall asleep with us first before we put him in his crib.
I really don't want to do all that again. so with Hudson, I am happy that he will sleep in bassinet. Most nights he will go the whole night. sometimes he will get really uncomfortable around 5-6 so I'll sit him with me.
His bassinet is also angled. It's seems to help, but the poor little guy slides to the bottom. I am thinking that is actually waking him up.
I hope his transition will be smooth to the crib.

Bassinet at night. Crib for naps. But, we also leave her in a portable swing if she falls asleep during the day (just pulled it out this week and she likes it, T didn’t like it) or on the boppy.
I never did a RnP, because when I was looking for T I read too much stuff. From what I read four years ago, pretty much nothing but a crib is regulated for sleep.

cwbh928, it's pretty ironic I'm all worried about the RnP and I coslept with DD1 for months lol so I hear ya about not wanting to go down the same road twice.

Those of you who use a RNP do you buckle child in and does it rock while they sleep? I don't buckle it at night because she's swaddled, so it wouldn't really work. During the day I do sometimes, especially if DS is around. I don't have the one that auto rocks, but I do usually leave the vibration on for most of the night.

Bassinet at night. Swing (not moving though) during the day because that's what's in the living room. Sometimes the rnp because that's up in the office and near the bathroom so I can shower. My second slept in the rnp at night because of tummy troubles for a few moths until I noticed his head flattening a little. I made more of an effort to keep him off his back during the day (in a carrier or the Bumbo or flat napping) once I noticed and his head rounded out again fine.
I bed shared with my first two starting at the 4 month wakeful and doing it safely (mainly no the no covers above the waist part) wasn't super comfortable, side lying nursing without having to move was amazing for helping us both get more sleep.
So far, I'm actually not minding the up and down out of the bassinet for night feeds, so I plan on sticking with the bassinet as long as possible this time around.
The crib we had was a hand me down and had already been through a lot of kids and my kids jumping on it as a toddler bed kind of did it in, so we don't currently have a crib to transition to. I don't know if we'll get a new one or if the bassinet will last long enough to go straight to a floor bed like we did with our first.

I need to vote for two! Both were crib sleepers but the doctor suggested we start having E sleep in a rock n play because of her reflux. B generally still sleeps in his crib but we have put him in his rock n play the last few nights because it's easier to give him his pacifier in the middle of the night when we put him back down after a middle of the night feed.

They sleep in their PnP mostly - sometimes in their cribs.

Overnight: pack and play During the day: on me, in the swing, the crib, or the RnP with no real rhyme or reason on when or where

During the day he sleeps on me or in the bouncy seat or the swing bassinet. We have one of those Graco glider ones that comes with the bassinet.
At night we start him in the glider bassinet and when he wakes up to eat the first time we bring him into bed. We have the pack n play set up in the room he is going to use so that's also an option we don't use. Crib is not set up because we are currently using the front part of it as a bed rail for Molly.
