Why the heck is this week dragging so much? I am pretty busy at work and that usually makes the time go by quick, but not this week. Grrr... I am just ready for it to be the weekend.

I had a weird 1.5 hour shift this morning & then I go back at 10:45 until 2 at DS' school today. If we lived any farther than we do, I wouldn't agree to it. They're lucky we're so close. Lol It would be proactive of me to walk there but I don't know if I wanna be that much of a go-getter just yet. I found out that they're in dire need of more subs. If I get this job at the middle school, they're probably gonna be bummed. Well, they should probably pay subs more number one if they're such a valuable asset if we're being honest. Maybe that's why no one wants to do it. I guess they've been looking for a while & they also don't advertise anywhere. Maybe they should hire me for marketing.

God, yes, why is this the longest week ever ?! I am half asleep. I am also ready for the weekend. DD woke up this morning talking about her best friend from nursery school. It is a bit odd for me to think about my 3 year old having a better social life than me (I work remotely so I don't really have any work friends, lol)

Agree that this week feels so LONG.
I'm about to walk into a meeting, after that I have nothing on my schedule until later this afternoon.

Anyone here buy Stride Rite shoes for their LO? I am looking at those Made2Play boots for winter. I found a pair for $25 online. I am always nervous buying DD shoes in brands she's never worn online since she can't actually try them on. But this is a heck of a deal, and I think I want to go for it. For some reason I am feeling like someone told me once that Stride Rite shoes run big in comparison to other brands. Anyone know if that is true?

StrideRite (or their off-shoot brand at Target) is pretty much all I buy for DS, we love them. I bought him a pair of sandals from Gymboree in the same size, and the Gymboree shoes seemed huge, so I'm not really a help there. They do have a super handy size guide on their website though, you can either print out the chart and measure your kid's foot against it, or do what I do when I'm buying shoes at work for DS - look at their conversion of what size is how many centimeters, and then compare it to another brand to see how close the sizes are.

Hello! Add me to the week is dragging club. Plus, this week I switched my day off from Friday to Thursday (my mom normally watches DS on Thursdays, but had something come up, and asked if I could switch), so I think it's going to be super long being off tomorrow, and then having to work on Friday. Next week H just told me he's taking Friday off though, so I'm super excited for a long three day weekend with him home!
I took DS to his follow up with his dermatologist today - his rash still kind of flairs off and on, so while it's not 100% solved, I do feel like we have a better handle of managing it, and his doctor echoed what I've been thinking, that we're just going to have to deal as best we can until we can get DS actually potty trained. I'm keeping my fingers crossed we can work on that this winter.

Thanks! I did find the size guide online and think I know what size I need to go with using the comparison you mentioned doing. I will probably try to size her with the guide when she gets home today, just in case though.

Name brand products are at discounted rates. You can sometimes find some really good deals there. I think most of the time they are last seasons styles and colors, but I don't care as long as I like them and can get a good price. Reg price for the new style Made2Play boots is $55, so I'll take pretty much half price.

misspeansmama, Oh yes, thank you, I buy a lot of her shoes there. In my experience, they run true to size, but I don't have much basis for comparison.

We got the phibians for him during the summer & I felt like they were true to size.

I'm annoyed by an occurrence that happened right at the end of my shift. There's this other parapro at the school that walks around like she owns the damn place & she came over to talk to me about something that was clearly not in my sub plans & just casually mentioned it. Like, hello? How tf am I supposed to know this shit if no one fucking tells me anything? Maybe that's why no one wants to sub here. My fucking god. I don't understand what's so hard about typing up some damn sub plans. Get out of my face. It really rubbed me the wrong way. It was probably her tone & then her like attempting to make it casual like 'oh no worries!!! LOL' Go away. Please let me get this middle school job.

@chair, glad you are feeling a little better. NamasteBirches,That stinks. Did you tell her it wasn't in the plans you were given? I would suggest to them that if they wanted you (or any sub) to do what ever it was, that they should be putting that in the sub plans. You can't hold people accountable for things they are unaware they should be doing.

They didn't seem big when we tried a pair for R, but her feet were way too fat for them. They're really short top to bottom, so if your kid has fat feet, not just wide, they may not fit.

That's good to know. She actually has pretty dainty feet, so we should be ok in that regard.

What I mostly didn't like is how her tone kind of suggested like she thought I was beneath her. Like dude, I'm here for some extra cash while my kid is at school & to have the same schedule as him. I'm overqualified for this crap. Slow your roll, like my husband likes to say. Lmao

My interview was something. Not the worst but not the absolute best. I keep being asked about specific shit related to the job. Things that are unique to said position. Like umm. I don't have the job, how am I supposed to know how am I going to do xyz? I'm not there yet! Tell me what to do & I'll do it. FFS! So idk. He said a decision was going to be made by Friday since they are extremely late to interviews so FX I guess! It would be nice to have a set schedule.
