Spill it, we have those relationships we hate, or ones we used to love and dont anymore.
My biggest one is Bruce Banner/Natasha Romanoff because Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanoff are my OTP

I can't do Harry/Hermione. I know Rowling has said she wishes she had pit hem together, but Harry pretty well takes advantage of her throughout all of the books and typically will take Ron's side over hers. Idk. I just can't do it.

I don't care for Bucky/Steve. I can see it sort of, but it just doesn't do it for me.

I truly dislike any pairing of the golden trio (and I hate that group name soooo). Sorreeeeee.
Hermione/Fred is my OTP because I think Hermione would do well with someone who doesn't take life as seriously as she does and I refuse to acknowledge Fred's death. But I like Hermione/Charlie, Draco/Ginny, and Bill/Fleur
ETA thought of another one. I haaaaate Dramione. That even used to be my OTP!

I just can't do it. If Fred hadn't died, that would be my perfect person for Hermione, but I actually really like her and Ron together. It fits. Big fat no to her and Harry. I actually wish she hadn't put Harry and Ginny together. It was just too neat and perfect and Harry gets to be a part of the family he always wanted. I hate the Draco/Hermione suggestions, too. You know what else I think is stupid? The dumbass love story between an elf and a dwarf (edit: dwarf, not hobbit) in the Hobbit movies.

Seems really weird to me because we did the musical in High School, and the guy who played that character married on of the other dwarves.

Same athn64. I also love their ship name Pepperony lol. Not the same but I enjoy the Darcy is Tonys daughter trope.

Ooh, I though of another one. I can't stand Lily/Snape. I really dislike Snape. I think his obsession with Lily is borderline creepy, and do not like them together at all.

I think Snape got softened up a bit in people's minds. He never liked Harry, even in his dying moments. He only wanted to see Lily's eyes on last time. Snape was a grown man who hated a kid. I don't like him and Lily together but I do find that aspect of the story interesting and never saw that coming when I read the book for the first time.

They made a point that he hated James over and over. Well, so who's the other part of that equation?

It's mostly FrostIron (Tony/Loki) and a few Steve/Tony. I also like a side of Natasha/Bruce and I vaguely remember you saying that was a big nope, too.

I know I'll be murdered for this..... but I can't stand River and the Eleventh Doctor. It had so much potential, but the way it was written in the show was sloppy and not thought out. There was no build up just "here you go. You have no choice! Love them!" .....and much like Moffat's writing....no I will not.

I...could write pages and pages of how much I dislike Moffat's writing especially of female characters, how he wrecked much of Doctor Who as the showrunner, and how over the moon I am that we get a new showrunner for Jodie Whittaker's Doctor. He gets a sliver of credit for writing Blink, though.

I liked the series, watched up to about halfway through 11 in real time, then stopped and never looked back. I honestly did not pay much attention to the writing or treatment of female characters and would like to know more

I hate Moffat s writing but I also have a hard time quitting shows. I also couldn't stop watching 11. He created his Doctor and I really loved his version of the Doctor 75% of the time. Moffat sometimes cut through and made me mad

I honestly did not pay much attention to the writing or treatment of female characters and would like to know more I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner! I have a lot of beef with Moffat but I'll try to keep it brief, haha. His writing of female characters is frustrating because they're typically so strongly centered around the male character(s). Amy/Clara are infatuated and/or obsessed with the Doctor in spite of their existing relationships. Have you heard of the Bechdel test? It's not infallible but it's one gauge of female characters, and Moffat vs Russell T Davies era Doctor Who has a notable contrast. If you watch Sherlock (BBC), you can see an even better example of Moffat's poor writing/treatment of female characters (in Molly and even Mary). Moffat is also on the record having said some...not awesome things about women in general. But I have to give him some credit: I was at the Doctor Who panel as San Diego Comic Con this past summer, and he was one of the biggest and loudest cheerleaders for the new, female Doctor. And his writing did get better with the female companion this last season of Doctor Who. Honestly, I think he had way too much on his plate with showrunning two of the biggest shows on BBC - Sherlock and Doctor Who - and both shows suffered.

Also, it's personal preference, but I got very tired of Doctor Who turning into a monster-of-the-week show. And when it wasn't that, Moffat was trying to find a new way to spin the "the universe is ending and it's really bad...no really this time!" for a season finale.

I did not know what the bechdel test was but I googled it and you know what? I do remember a difference between the two writers. I need to rewatch Sherlock now that you mentioned it too, I'm a bit annoyed with myself that I truly never noticed any maltreatment of female characters other than wondering why Molly was reduced to a simpering fangirl when she's obviously brilliant during the episode where he asked her "would you like to solve crimes with me". Really, thank you for your thoughts!
