I'm in a mood. I seem to be just constantly annoyed and bitchy. I hate it but I also can't stop. Hoping the brownie I am about to eat for lunch helps.

Made sloppy joe grilled cheese for lunch. It would seem that even stuffed inside a cheese sammich... they're still "sloppy". I JUST WASHED THIS 3 DAYS AGO.

My friends threw me a little baby shower this weekend at my favorite restaurant - it was a huge surprise (it's my 2nd child and another girl). Well my MIL saw it on facebook and now she is hurt that she wasn't invited. I'm sorry that she is hurt but stop putting the guilt trip on me and DH because we had nothing to do with it as it was a surprise! She didn't even bother coming to my first baby shower so I don't really get it....whatever.
On another note, opening gifts at a restaurant is super awkward. My sister gave me a onesie that said something about a rainbow baby and I LOST IT in the middle of the restaurant for like 10 minutes. It was awkward and embarrassing and my sister felt bad because she didn't think I would cry. (Most of you know I think but last October we terminated a pregnancy at 17 weeks because it was confirmed that the baby had full Trisomy 18 (babies do not survive this type of Trisomy).

kinipela7 awww don't feel bad about crying. Anyone who knew would understand and those who don't know would chalk it up to pregnancy hormones. We had a loss at 18 weeks, it was really traumatic and it was years before I could think about it for any length of time without crying.

bootsorhearts1 - I"m sorry about your loss! I was wondering if I was maybe too sensitive but it's still a bit too fresh in my mind although I think it will always sort of be like that!

rebeccabunch Hugs. Sorry you're dealing with illness in the house again. Fx nobody else gets it, and DS2 feels better soon! cythe That's a bummer, sorry for your rough night. : ( AFM It's my last week of work! I'm so ready too. My back wishes I was done last week, ugh. DS's summer clothes have been put away, and his drawers are now ready for fall/winter! Baby girl's clothes are also ready to go. Yay productivity! Now if only I could manage to get my own clothes organize/in order. +1 to BH lately...I think. Most of the time I think it's just her stretching out or something.

cythe with both DD and this pregnancy I've had a serious milk craving. We have a gallon of skim in the fridge that's just devoted to me and I drink straight from the carton multiple times a night. Luckily I don't have any digestive problems afterward and it really helps with my heartburn. Re: belly buttons--mine has been an outtie since like second tri. It eventually flattened last pregnancy but never regained cuteness.

After today only 7 more shifts at work... and they won't be full days! I can't wait since I am mentally checked out. On the plus side my coworkers keep saying how good I look for being so pregnant... at 35 weeks I'll take any compliments.
Add me to the group that can't tolerate dairy since I mostly removed it from my diet. I can do cheese and yogurt but milk and too much ice cream cause issues. I had a milk shake last weekend that I regretted.
Reflux is now a part of my daily life, I have to see what I can take because I keep waking up at night and it is gross and uncomfortable.

I also had a milkshake last week that I regretted. I mean, it was worth for about an hour. I think in moderation I'd be okay but... what's moderation of milkshakes?! Also - Zantac, Tums, Pepcid, Maalox. Pick your poison, they're all safe.

I still have to go catch up. I've reached a level of miserable i never felt with DD. All day I could not get comfortable, had hot flashes, and has nausea spells. I felt so bad that I called and rescheduled my appointment this week for one day earlier bc I know they'll schedule my induction when I go in and the sooner the better. (But I also prefer to see a certain midwife which played a part in my rescheduling too.) I am so ready to meet this baby and I know it's all worth it...but I am *so* over this pregnancy. 😣

So remember how last month was record highs with no air conditioning? At some point between going to bed last night and this morning our furnace crapped out, and this week we will not be getting up to 70. Yay

Super tired today, not even pregnancy related which is almost worst. DD was up from 11:30-2:30 lasts night and could not (would not) sleep. Normally I'm all "cry it out" but prenancy hormones have turned me into a big ole softie and I laid with her most of that time, sometimes singing to her sometimes not. On the plus side, baby 2 was super active and it's always reassuring to feel her kick and dance and not nearly as annoying when I'm already up and awake anyway!

Just catching up now so... trinitrotoluene sorry about the furnace. I love the cold but anything below 50 would probably be too much for me even! Hopefully it stays in the 60s for you all?! August Blooms I vote tums. rebeccabunch hope your DS recovers quick. Hope you don't catch it either - sick and pregnant is no joke!Aso my plan is to watch Handmaidens tale when I'm home with baby. Maybe too depressing after just having a baby though too? bootsorhearts1 I can completely relate to the MiL. Honestly my MIL can be wonderful but her and I do not see eye to eye on most child rearing things (see: wanting to leave toddlers unattended in kiddie pool on 4th of July). Hopefully she didn't add more work for you with her "helpfulness". mkrupar hopefully your DD was able to burn some energy another way -- cooped up toddlers are the worst! How's baby????!!!!!!!

After all the talk of milkshakes last week, I had 2 this weekend. One at CFA and one at Five Guys. No regrets - they were amazing! CFAs was better than Five Guys though.

The part for our microwave has to be ordered, of course, so we'll be without it for several days. Total FWP, but it still sucks. I know it is broken but that didn't keep me from trying to use it several times today. 😩
I'm at the salon getting my hair done (i.e. getting rid of my gray roots) and my hairdresser told me she's expecting! Well, her daughter blurted out "my mom's having a baby!" We talked about labor stories while she applied my color, lol.
ETA regarding shows, I got an email today that season 6 of Call the Midwife is now available on Netflix. Super excited about this.

We got large chocolate CFA shakes this weekend too. So good! I didn't know Five Guys had shakes, but it sounds like I'd just want to go to CFA.

blackmamba , I had a mini breakdown yesterday too. I chalk it up to hormones. There is a lot to do but today I feel more positive about being able to get at least the really important things done. Glad you're doing better today! Big hugs!

+1 for a flat belly button. Also, weird symptom- if I press my bump against something accidentally it feels like burning. It is so weird. Like it I accidentally press it against the counter or my dresser. So strange. *snip* Yes! Sometimes I equate it to feeling like a sunburn. This! I'm guessing my skin/stretch marks are super sensitive, but damn, it catches me off guard every time.

I'm bummed- I didn't take into account with my maternity leave that they would go back 2 years from the END of my leave with DD1, not the beginning (In my state we get 16 weeks every 2 years.) I went back to work 10/26 and am due 10/18 with this baby I know it's only 2 or 3 weeks less, but I was looking forward to 4 months off. Maybe she will flip around to head down and stay cooking a little longer.
