I'm @heartsorboots1 s gif lady DS2 is sick again! He was up all night long. H had to sleep on the floor. Everyone was finally getting some rest and DS1 wet the bed at 4:30 am. I despise the back to back cold situation. To make things even better, my nanny text me that she has the stomach flu so she's not coming for a few days. I want to hide. bootsorhearts1 gif lady Of course I'm making things backwards today

Feeling kind of garbage after my night last night.
I started having some contractions at about 10pm - not labor contractions but fun ones brought on by my desire to drink all the milk I could find. Turns out, this makes my lower half unhappy and my uterus thinks it needs to participate too.
I could time them, at their peak they were 45 seconds in duration, 5 minutes apart. They got more spaced out over the hour and eventually I fell asleep at 11. This morning however, I still feel gross (not contracting).
So. Fuck you, milk.

In better news, I'm glad Big Little Lies cleaned up last night! I'm happy Handmaidens Tale did too bc it seems to be an important story and I like Hulu but I still haven't watched it! I tried to watch the first ep a couple times but it seemed extra unsettling to watch while pregnant. Someone give me a pep talk that I can watch it now. riverraine you have watched it, right?

rebeccabunch, that sucks I hope everyone gets better soon. It's early for cold season to start you would think. My DS has been battling a chest cold the last few days. Poor guy. cythe, well that's scary. I hope they don't come back. Milk is an interesting craving. I have been having really bad BH the last few days. I'm so over it. My uterus needs to chill. It's not time to do anything yet and since I'm a scheduled C, I really don't need its participation at all thankyouverymuch.

Sorry for the sickness rebeccabunch . FX everyone else stays healthy. Rough night cythe . I hope you feel better soon! Our microwave door latch broke. I'm working from home today and have a service man coming to check it out. Google is telling me it is NBD to fix so I hope that's right. It is a fancy over-the-stove microwave/hood that came with our house and it *seems* like it will be cheaper to fix than replace, but we'll see. I'm one meal into having no microwave and I am over it. Suuuuper funny that I lived for five years without one before DH and I got married and never felt like I needed one (I had a toaster over).....

Add me to the list of people having more BH lately. I think I overdid it some this weekend so that's likely causing the increase, but it is unique for me because I don't feel like I really had many with DS. cythe , sorry the milk craving messed you up. I'm a huge dairy fan and drink milk all the time. I have no idea how I'd survive if I had a baby with a dairy intolerance that would require me to change my diet to breastfeed. Several moms from my first BMB had to alter their diets for breastfeeding and I was so thankful DS's digestive system wasn't that picky. DH and I ended up making an impromptu trip to the IKEA near DC since the one closer to us had a message online saying they might not restock the dresser that matched our nursery furniture set. Luckily DC still had it in stock and extra lucky that the traffic to get there was light, since normally getting anywhere near DC is poop traffic. The only time we could fit the trip in was during DS's nap time but he sleeps well in the car (better sometimes than at home).

Ugh I'm exhausted. Saturday I packed up my apartment all day. Sunday the movers came and I cleaned all day after they left. Moving sucks. Don't ever move. I have no idea where anything is. The only reason why I have deodorant on today is because I didn't pack it away until yesterday morning.

rebeccabunch That sounds like a horrible night. I hope everyone gets better soon! cythe I can't do milk/dairy either. Ever since I moved to Asia, I hardly ever eat dairy and now I think I've become intolerant to it....or more likely I always have been intolerant to it, but it's so dang hard to avoid dairy when in the states. Anywho - I was really craving ice cream the other day and made the huge mistake of eating some (cough - half a pint - cough). Same thing happened - contractions or indigestion woke me up for like 3 hours in the middle of the night. No more dairy for me - totally wasn't worth it. Pretty good Monday today. I got some annoying paperwork/admin things done that I had been putting off at work - so it feels good to get that over with! Baby basically tried to claw his way out of my bump all day. I'm so scared for my belly button - it's totally flat and shiny now....I think it's at it's breaking point...

Taitai, feeling you about the belly button. With DS, my innie was an outie for the end of pregnancy. This time around, the outie came much sooner and is now completely flat - just a weird little pucker. I also have barely any feeling in the skin at and around it which weirds me out!

Taitai, I hear you there. I have an outtie now. If I wear a white shirt I have to put a bandaid over it to squish it back down otherwise it looks like a nipple in the middle of my belly.

I'm feeling cruddy after the flu shot. I was up from 1-3 or 4 thanks to indigestion. I wanted to call out sick, but don't want to use what few PTO days I have left.

Sitting on the couch with coffee while DD dances to a kid's music station on the iPad. Waiting on the window cleaning guy to get here.
My only plans for today are to clean the upstairs bathrooms and do a library trip. When DH is done work we are going to meet him at Costco to stock up on a few things and then go out for dinner!

+1 for a flat belly button. Also, weird symptom- if I press my bump against something accidentally it feels like burning. It is so weird. Like it I accidentally press it against the counter or my dresser. So strange.
My hormones are nuts. I feel on the verge of tears all the time. Had a good cry last night and feel a bit better. As much as I want to meet this baby, I'm not ready for change. Guess I have 2 weeks to get it together.

blackmamba, I had a mini breakdown yesterday too. I chalk it up to hormones. There is a lot to do but today I feel more positive about being able to get at least the really important things done.

Sorry for all the rough BH going around ladies.
I wish I could take DD to the park, but my post op restrictions prevent me from pushing her stroller (too heavy), and she can't quite make it both there and back walking the whole way. Her Grandpa usually takes her, but he's at the doctor today. She's just getting antsy being home all day.

Why must I wake up at 4am every morning. At least this morning I was able to fall back asleep around 5ish. Also, nausea is back. All the smells are making me want to vomit.
I found a house I absolutely love this weekend. I wanted to put an offer in but H thinks we should go in a different direction. And he's probably right, but dammit I wanted that house.

In the ongoing saga of dumb things my MIL says/does (she is sweet and helps us a lot but OMG. . . )
MIL: you're traveling for work next week? But your due date is next wednesday! Me: no my due date is october 18th. And you went to 42 weeks with DH. Also there are hospitals where I'm going. So I think it's going to be ok.
Me: Can you sort out DS's baby things into these plastic bins so all the newborn stuff is in one, 3-6 month in another, 6-12 month in another, etc? (The idea being I can pull out a bin and have everything I need for that age range. . . ) MIL: *Puts all socks in one bin, all sleepers/swaddlers in another bin, all shoes in a 3rd bin, a mix of newborn, 3-6 and 6-12 month clothes in the last 2 bins*
MIL: Did the painter come yesterday? Me: Yes, he's done MIL: But the room is still blue! Me: Right. He patched and repainted one wall that had a hole in it which is what we asked him to do. I like blue.
MIL: I made a pile of clothes I didn't think were appropriate for a little girl here. Me: *Sorts through clothes NOT in that pile and finds a 'world's best nephew' onesie*

I just couldn't stop, I had some poptarts and was like "you know what would be good with this?!" And then I had a second glass
