I'm pretty confident that my ute is closed for business, but not 100% sure yet. I'm not saving baby things, if we did decide to have a third it wouldn't be for 2+ more years. MH is "sure" that he's happy with 2, he's also not thrilled with the idea of me having a third c-section. However, we've discussed adoption and/or fostering in the future, but not for several more years. I've always been interested in adopting, and know people who have had both good and bad experiences. So we'll see where life takes us.

Speedy , I had to be on injections when I was pregnant with M (and will have to with future pregnancies), up until she was 12 weeks old. It was a drag, but she is definitely worth it. I had to do it for a history of a blood clot. I didn't get tested specifically for it, I don't think, but given the fact that I had 2 back to back losses I think his thinking is that it can't hurt. I also got to thinking, and H and I didn't use any protection for the first 8 years we were together (just the pull out method), and we never had any oopses except one time where, looking back, I suspect I had a miscarriage - I woke up in the middle of the night with cramping and a tight feeling in both my front and back so bad I thought I was dying, but we were staying with his parents in the middle of BFN and I was the only one who could drive at the time and there was no way I could drive myself all the way to the hospital so I just dealt with it. I'm really hoping that it will end up being something that simple and not something more, because I'm not sure if I'd be able to deal mentally if there was something else.

ovenrack can I creep on your house? I saw you mention in the other thread that you have a sewing room. Are you going to have the kids share rooms or does your house have a bunch of bedrooms? *not a creep, I just love old houses

ovenrack can I creep on your house? I saw you mention in the other thread that you have a sewing room. Are you going to have the kids share rooms or does your house have a bunch of bedrooms? *not a creep, I just love old houses I need to make a post with photos so rugger and grumpycakes and others can rearrange my house. I hate my bedroom setup and my living room/dining room setup. Blah. We have four bedrooms and what I call my sewing room, which is a smaller room with pocket doors with glass. Currently it's just boxes of fabric and all my bookshelves. Someday each of the three kids may want their own room, but until they insist, we're gonna try to put H and M in the biggest room (H's room), and leave the smallest room (M's room) as a nursery for the new babe. We have a good number of houseguests, so a guest room is amazing. We never had any space for guests at our old house, except on the couches. But even if the kids do want their own rooms someday, we can turn the sewing room into something more private. It is an 1890 house, and I love practically everything about it. We lucked out.

DH tells me that he's done, but tells everyone else that he wants 10 kids, so that's confusing. I keep wanting one more, but mostly because I really want O to have a brother, so that's a gamble. If we had another girl I'd probably have to give up my guest/sewing room, but I rarely sew anymore anyway, and we could easily combine the kids when guests are visiting. My biggest issue is that there isn't any more room in our car, and DH wants to upgrade to a truck that is modified to have a third row of seats rather than getting an suv or van and I just can't picture that working out. I feel really overwhelmed most days with 3, but have heard that the transition from 3 to 4 is the easiest, and by then I'd have 2 kids in school all day, so I think I can handle it.

I got my IUD out on Thursday so we're officially TTC again after being on the bench for 3 years. Just wasn't in a place mentally to try before this. Of course, I got AF starting on Saturday lol, so just waiting on that to be done and then it's on! I'm a little nervous since my doctor is treating me for MTHFR, which means I'll have to inject myself with heparin every day until 36 weeks, but I'm definitely up for it, and the way H and I were moving around this morning getting breakfast ready just made me so happy and excited because I know we're going to be so in sync when a little joins us =) I have MTHFR and FVL so I'm on lovenox daily until 36 weeks then heparin 2xday until birth, then back on lovenox 6 week PP. I was with DD too. It's annoying, but becomes habit pretty quickly. I added up a few months ago that between all 3 recent pregnancies, I've given myself over 500 shots. Ooy! Anyway, when the time comes, if you have any questions, feel free to pm me.

I'm 27 weeks and having lots of kicks and BHs already. Glucose test and US next week. I'm leaning toward a RCS, which my dr would prefer so we can time my heparin shots, but if this baby is breech still too, I think I'm just going to put it on the books.

I'm trying basically a shot of cold brew to see if it wards off my afternoon headache. I didn't feel like drinking more and I only had an ounce or two left from my last batch.

When or how do I stop waffling crazily between wanting to be OAD or having like 3 more? LMK.

See, this is where I still imagine a teenage boy enjoying the only-child life while his big sisters are off at college. And then his big sisters lovingly giving him a hard time when they come back to visit.

snowmoon I love Birdie as a nickname for Bridget or Beatrix or Elizabeth, not my style as a name all by itself.

I gave away my uterus after DS was about 2. No more. And really never got misty about that until recently. Im comfortable with OAD, but lately babies have seemed really appealing. My SO joined us with 2 kids also, so I never imagined being a family of 5 either. We have the girls about 50%, and I both enjoy time with a big boisterous crew, and also quieter times to connect with J.
