Even though I'm not working right now, Monday still sucks somehow lol.
C is a hungry boy this morning. He's had 2 bowls of oatmeal and just asked for a cheesestring. I cannot keep up with that kid's growth spurts.
H is having a super early nap because he's been fussing all morning. He needs to go back to being happy ASAP.

I carried both twins out of their room and into the play room this morning. During the trip, J blew out his diaper, like I have never seen before. It got all over me, up his back to his shoulders and onto his arms, started to drip onto the floor. I was moving as fast as I could but I had both and couldn't stop and put anyone down near the sunken living room or basement stairs.
It was everywhere. 😨

Well, me and the boys are all sick. Between J being up a lot last night, my sore throat killing me, and my H snoring, I saw every hour last night. We are all snotty messes. I'm so tired and do not want to adult today.

starbuck I'm sorry...I know the double carry well, cannot imagine one shitting all over during that relay 😂 waitwhat Feel better!! If it's any consolation I'm sure last night and today will be the worst of it (I hope?) and soon you'll be on the upswing, hopefully getting that season weather change "cold" out of your system danib Mine still won't take morning naps! Hope you have your happy baby back shortly. Also about he eating, that is my AV. That girl EATS.. like I don't know how I'm gonna keep up with that when she's 2-3-4 if it continues like this. This morning she's already had a whole piece of toast (to herself), a little container of mandarin oranges, a prunes purée, and half a banana. Is that normal for this age ?! AB had, a hand held baby food (like Plum Organics)...that's it.

Morning ladies. I'm working from home today and H took the day off. He's making us pancakes for breakfast and being such an engineer about it. The box said mix batter and let sit for 2 minutes. He actually set a timer. Then he used his infrared temperature gun thing and measured the pan. It wasn't hot enough so apparently I can't laugh at him.

starbuck holy shit, that is not funny but hilarious. I'm sorry lol. waitwhat I hope you and the boys start to feel better! I feel like my body is fighting something lately. danib The growth spurts scare me. I can't imagine what it'll be like with an older kid. kleigh C seems to eat constantly. I asked a while ago when you're supposed to stop feeding and the answer was until they start refusing. Well he never refuses. He will keep eating and eating.

Staaaaahhhhhp goldenlove ! He set a time and used an infrared temp reader 😂 MH does this to a degree but he is one of those people that cannot adult without exact instruction. Like let's say he ran to the bathroom and missed the timer going off and came back to find he had let it sit "too long".... he would very likely throw it out and start over bc he takes everything so literal and by the book if he doesn't know what he's doing. It's pancake mix. Dude just stir it and pour it out. It'll be fine.

Anyone know what I can use in place of cumin? Google says chili powder but this recipe already calls for chili powder in addition to cumin.

Omg starbuck, just omg kleigh, I laughed bc E is at the total opposite end of the spectrum, bc what you described would take her 2.5 days to eat. I'm not exaggerating. With that being said, I don't think she (AV) is out of the norm. She's just hungry! And it's not like she's a big chunker.

But in his defense, we don't make pancakes often so it's been a long long time since he's had to make them. Although last time I made them, they were fine. And I didn't even know the box said to let batter sit. *shruggy guy*

Well after having a diarrhea free rest of our day yesterday, I was excited that O would get to go to daycare today. And then he came in my room at like 5am with what felt like a raging fever. I knew he wouldn't fall asleep again if I got him up and gave him meds, so I just cuddled him and got him to fall back asleep til 715. Then the fever was *only* 101.
But now he's home for the day. So I'll have to find something entertaining but not exposing people to whatever he has. I might shove them in the stroller and walk to Marshall's just for something.

starbuck, oh my goodness, what a start to your day. I hope it only goes up from here! waitwhat, ugh that sounds miserable. I hope you all feel better asap, and hopefully the boys will give you some time to rest today. goldenlove, the timer I can see but I am dying at the infrared gun! That is next level. Hi. I'm at work and haven't started on anything yet. I got my second PP period yesterday and it is, um, a lot. Before having kids I would get these debilitating cramps and not be able to get out of bed on CD1. That has thankfully resolved but I am definitely feeling it in my lower back today, and also just generally feel tired and shitty even though I got a full 8 hours of sleep last night. There will be a lot of coffee today. MH agreed to come home "early" tonight so that I can stay at work late and get some stuff done, which is awesome and I really need it, especially since I'm headed back to NJ again on Wednesday for Rosh Hashanah (which starts that night).

goldenlove wait until C is a toddler. Eating becomes such a battle. He's already starting to give me trouble. He just wants noodles and cheese. He picks around the meat and veggies. He used to eat anything but he's starting to get picky. Yesterday he even put a carrot in his mouth then pulled it back out and gave it to the dog. Come on kid...

Lol I wish DH was more like that with cooking. He made GF Pancakes once (yoh really need to follow directions because the consistency is weird) and they were TERRIBLE. I was like "did you follow the directions?" he said yes. I say "so like you put the right amount of milk/water/oil/egg?" he says yes (I knwo he's lying because he once made some boxed ones where the recipe said use the whole box and he used like a cup from it). But he's insisting so I leave it. Later I'm washing dishes and there is only 1 measuring cup (the recipe called for a cup, a 1/3 and a 1/4 I believe), and I'm like "dude I thought you said you used the right amounts, but there is only 1 measuing cup here". His response "wel it's pretty easy to estimate". Apparently not, because your pancakes sucked!!

Re: food, D will also eat until I stop feeding her. She never refuses, never stops, eats as much as an adult. No joke, Saturday morning I took the two of them to this little market that makes awesome breakfast burritos, and I had to buy three full-sized burrito bowls (they don't make kid-sized ones) to feed myself, the 2.5 year old, and this little baby. That plus two coffees ran me like 30 bucks.
We also have to order two kids menu entrees anytime we go out to eat because she eats as much as or more than DS so I can't have them share a plate or he doesn't get enough. Between that and her organic nitrate-free deli turkey slice habit, she will be lucky to have a college fund.

PW My baby is 10 months old today She barely looks like a baby to me anymore. She has all this hair and these little teeth and when you look in her eyes you can just see her brain working a million miles a minute. I kept looking at her yesterday and thinking I can't believe this is her last day in single digits.

Yep. J is a beast when it comes to food. The other day, he ate an entire chicken sausage, a whole container of the single serve easy mac and cheese, and about a cup of peas. He eats way more than my toddler.

I had to hold H upright so he could sleep for several hours last night. His snot has gotten out of control and he was coughing all night. I hope he doesn't get another EI from this cold. At least he's a happy sick boy.

Morning Ladies!! starbuck, I'm sorry! I know it doesn't seem like when you're cleaning poop off of everyone and everything, but this one of those times that you'll back on later and chuckle! waitwhat, I hope you all feel better soon! Both boys were super snotty last week, DS1 seems to be over it but DS2 isn't. Hopefully whatever bug you're all fighting will pass quickly. goldenlove, Sorry about the crappy pancakes! MH actually makes good pancakes as long as he doesn't burn them, which he usually ends up doing. hangry, I hope your LO feels better soon, too!

I'm so sore this morning. I have a bunch of bruises and every muscle in my body is very angry with me.
Last night MH decided last minute to go to a show, so I had to do dinner and bedtime solo. I'm mostly pissed because we were supposed to have steak last night, but that didn't happen. So I had a salad and a giant bowl of ice cream instead.

Poor H !!!!! If it's like what we've been dealing with I know the poor suffering tgrimes I've been debating calling the pedi to take AB in. I called them when they both first got sick and they were all "nothing we could do and we won't see them unless there's a complication - EI, fever, or wheezing"...Well yesterday AB kind of choked on the phlegm while he was eating... really I can't tell if it was the food, the phlegm, or a combo - but it was bad enough that his face started turning red and he was no longer making coughing/gagging sounds I took him out of the high chair (my mom was standing right there too) and flipped him and hit his back a couple times. He vomited so. much. phlegm. He seemed fine after, and for the rest of the day except for two coughing attacks he had where it was almost like he was coughing but there was no more phlegm/mucus to get up so it was like a dry heaving attack. I wanted to just hold him upright all night but H swore to me he was fine and to not worry. He apparently did cough a couple times over night but not like that.
