I had two hours of prodromal labor last night. So that's back i guess.
I'm ready for this week to be over. I feel like a grinch today.

Missed the 40% off costumes because I just couldn't walk tonight. Me either. My back is super broken. Hips and bottom are my ailments. Joys of pregnancy.

clucky roloma is it weird to have a fasting number that is higher than your number from the previous night? Is that just the "Dawn phenomenon"? It's only one point higher, but that happened to me twice this week. Still in range, but weird.

Somebody just rubbed my belly. At the bank, of all weird places.
Doing my business at the private window, turn around and there's this middle aged woman literally in front of my face, it made me jump.
She just went "awww!" And patted/rubbed her hand on my bump.
I put my hand on my belly which knocked hers off, she asked when I was due and I just walked away.
There was a little bit of a line when I walked away and this lady who looked quite elderly, rolled her eyes towards the touchy woman, and smiled a little towards me.
Please don't fucking touch me. That's the first time this pregnancy I've had a randomer touch me. Just makes me feel very vulnerable, like we're already conscious of people walking into us because our bellies are bigger. Just because we have pregnant bellies doesn't mean you can touch!!!

thatgolfb I am going to order some this week! Sorry beefinch...I don't know why anyone thinks it's appropriate to touch strangers, pregnant or not. I've only had two this pregnancy, so had more with DD. It's creepy.

The number could be higher if you didn't eat enough as your snack before bed. Those would be my thoughts and concern.

On the tour of the hospital the lady said to make sure you make all your wishes known to everyone who may think they can be in the delivery room. She said everyone, even strangers think they can touch a pregnant belly and L&D doesn't stop that absurd (my word) behavior. On that note, she said if you have a birth plan, make sure anyone who may be in the room reads and understands it too.

H will only touch the bump if she's moving loads so he can have a feel. I don't mind midwives/doctors touching my belly as that's their job and they are doing it for a reason lol, it's the random old women in banks that have no need to touch me 😂

Only 1 person has ever touched my belly uninvited.

I have an appt on Friday so I will ask the doc then. I'll try eating more protein before bed.

I went to bed early and took a benedryl. No match for prodromal contractions for a couple hours last night. Gah. This kid needs to hold on a few more weeks and let me get some rest. cnf I feel your pain/exhaustion.

Last time my belly only got touched once and she asked beforehand. This time, I naively thought I'd have the same experience. Nope. I was never this pregnant at work, so maybe that's why, but random kids on the schoolyard will. not. stop. touching. me. GET YOUR GERMY HANDS AWAY FROM ME. Also a few random adults. OMG at the bank. That's such an odd place to be feeling a pregnant lady up. They're all odd, but I especially don't want to chat with anyone at the bank because I just want to get in and out of there ASAP.

beefinch and misskilljoy -- I've been lucky so far. Only two assistants (who I know fairly well) have tried touching my stomach. I have done some defensive touching of my own belly along with evasive moves to make sure strangers don't try. There's always someone who just doesn't get it, and I don't like anyone other than DH, DS, or me touching my belly.

Caught part of Good Morning America today. Wrong day to watch - beautiful stories about bone marrow donation that had tears streaming down my face. Forgot how strong the third trimester pregnancy hormones are.

bethers, I have a very unapproachable face (resting bitch face syndrome lol) so I normally got nothing. I can go about in public and not be asked my due date which is great. But this woman couldn't see my face as my back was facing her lol

They're not usually this bad but the schedule change Monday definitely threw them. I finally got them out at 5:30 (after trying on and off to get them to go back to sleep). The one peed for so long I felt so guilty for not getting up sooner

My one dog has lost some weight so I of course jump to worst case scenario and he has cancer but he's only 2 and start tearing up. It's only going to get worse after birth isn't it.

beefinch that is so wrong. I don't want most people I know touching my belly let alone a stranger. grumpycat sorry about the bad sleep. Hopefully it gets better. This kid has definitely turned and is kicking some sensitive spots. I think I know what you ladies are talking about with the cervix jabs, ouch.

bethers , I have a very unapproachable face (resting bitch face syndrome lol) so I normally got nothing. I can go about in public and not be asked my due date which is great. But this woman couldn't see my face as my back was facing her lol I have serious RBF to the point where even my husband, who has known me for 13 years, regularly asks me if I'm alright if he looks over sometimes, and yet people approach me. All the fucking time. People tell me their life story. MH makes fun of me for it all the time. "Why does this always happen to you?" I don't know! They just talk to me! When I used to take the city bus, people would choose me to sit next to even though the bus would be empty. So being pregnant in public is not the best even if people aren't touching me. Sooo many questions. So many anecdotes about pregnancy and babies. It's all so weird.

Also, someone needs to talk me out of buying a more expensive stroller just because I like the color options better ...

I've gotten some belly touches from a few little kids in DS' class at daycare. "Is there a baby in there?! Is it a boy or a girl?!" I think it's the cutest thing in the world. But a belly touch from a 2.5yo is totally different than a grown person who should understand personal space.

We have a green one and a bright yellow one. How much more expensive? If I can get a coupon, likely about 80 more. And I don't hate the color of the original (red and black) - it actually coordinates with our individual stroller. But there's a very cool looking gray version - but it requires getting 2 universal adapters rather than 1 and is a bit pricier to begin with. Trying to think practically for a change.

I wouldn't do it based on the adapter issue unless I had to have it and had a high likelihood of the coupon coming through lol. I think it's important to have a good stroller that you like. So this is an area where I support splurging but if you don't mind the original color and the fancy color requires additional pieces, ehhh.

Speaking of kids and pregnancy reactions, this exchange happened at school:
Me, to a grade 2 student who was playing with blocks instead of eating his lunch: "You should really focus on eating. You only get a bit of time and if you don't eat now, you'll have to wait until the afternoon."
Him: "YOU should focus on eating."
Me: "Don't worry. I get to eat while you're all outside for recess."
Him: "Actually YOU should be getting exercise because your tummy is HUGE. Seriously! Look at it!"
I explained to him politely that I'm pregnant but even if I wasn't, that's not something we say to people. The next day he asked the principal if she has a baby in her tummy too and when she said no, he told her she needs to start working out. Ouch, kid.

Girl. $80 more just for a different colour? Do not do this. I am frugal AF when it comes to these things, admittedly, but it's a stroller. XD
