Age: 6.5 weeks
Milestones: grabbing at more, swiping and reaching. He also is staring at us more and following this a tad better.
Good/Bad from the week: good-- we weighed him and it seems he is 11lbs which means he put 2lbs on in about 2weeks. I breastfeed so I feel good about that. Although we did just start giving him a bottle of anti spit up formula ever now and again. He is much more awake and alert, he looks at everything! Bad-- his reflux sucks and of course like DS1 he hates the meds and spits it out. He also has been crappy in his naps. I think maybe due to growth spurt, but right now he does want to lay alone...
Question-- I have to think about it...

Age: 1 month
Milestones: she turned a month this weekend! And she's survived her first month with two big brothers. Awake more often and she can half roll over from back to side.
Good/Bad from the week: S is a really good baby, like really good. She sleeps good, isn't fussy...it's awesome and weird bc my boys were NOT like this. Speaking of my boys...they are testing me and pushing the limits and that's the bad.
Questions: no questions but I do find myself thinking that the baby is older than she really is because she's so big 😂 I forget that she's still just a month old.

Age: 5w2d
Milestones: She went her longest stretch between feeds last night (6.5 hours)
Good/Bad from the week: Good - she's getting much better at tracking. You can tell just by looking at her eyes that she's able to focus and see things a lot better. Bad - I just posted about this in the randoms thread, but we got the results of her ultrasound back and her kidney is still mildly enlarged so we're being referred to a pediatric urologist.

Age: 6weeks, 2 days
Milestones: Even though he isn't a fan of tummy time, he's been great at picking his head up.
Good/Bad from the week: Good, today he was so nice after a few super fussy days. I always want to say sleep is bad. But the cluster feeding yesterday was really difficult.
Questions: How are you keeping LOs nail clean? I noticed under his nails are collecting some dirt, would a little scrubber help?

Age: 5 weeks
Milestones: Cooing. Much more eye focus. Moved to 0-3 month clothing although it's still big and he can still wear newborn. I just have more interesting stuff in 0-3.
Good/Bad: We've had a pretty uneventful week. Some good sleep, some bad sleep. Sometimes the 5 and 3 year old are good, sometimes they're crazy. I'm glad they're both in school in the mornings.
Questions: Why is this going so fast?

Age: 2 weeks Milestones: Does not fit in newborn clothes or diapers anymore. Good/Bad from the week: She's sleeping pretty well at night (better than DS did anyway). I have a crazy fast letdown though so she ends up gulping, which results in spit up or hiccups. I have been exorcist style spit up on so many times. Hopefully as my milk production regulates the letdown issue goes away. Questions: I need to find an outfit for her to wear to a wedding next month. She'll probably need something sized 3 months... anyone see anything cute lately?

Age: almost 5 weeks
Milestones: he turned a month on Saturday
Good/Bad from the week: he's gaining weight well--3 lbs in three weeks on mostly breast milk and some formula. Sleep is bad. Last night his longest stretch was 1.5 hrs. I asked the Dr at his appt yesterday and she said it gets better at 6 weeks. I am so frustrated. He just wants to cuddle at night and only snacks, won't take a full feed, so I think that's partly why he wakes up so soon. He is very gassy too and spitting up. He wakes up and lies there grunting and then crying till I get him. I asked the Dr about reflux but she said he doesn't have it to the level at which they would medicate. She said the fenugreek might make him gassy but said I could keep taking it. He grunts so uncomfortably at night when he wakes up. I feel like it's the gas or reflux.
Questions: those with sleepers, share your magic. Do your babies take a big feed right before they go down? Are they swaddled? Are you holding them up right after they eat? Do you use white noise? Are they sleeping in bassinet or somewhere else. Sorry, I know this is just a phase but it was such a long phase with DS1 that I'm trying too avoid repeating the sleepless nights.

thinkchocolate05 on the nights N gives us a good stretch- which is hit or miss, I try to feed him by bottle so I know how much he got- and it's usually around 4-5oz, somewhere between 9-11pm. We either blanket swaddle him, arms in (he always gets one out eventually), or swaddle sack him up, depends on what outfit he's wearing. I alternate between using a noise app (current using ocean waves crashing) and the music on the rnp. The last few nights I've been using the pnp instead of the rnp. I also rock him to sleep in my arms and once he's asleep I wait another 10+ min before transitioning him down. But sometimes it's a total crapshoot. 🤷🏻♀️

thinkchocolate05 I change her, swaddle her in a sleep sack (arms in), offer the boob (sometimes it's a big feed, sometimes just a snack), hold her upright for 10-15 mins, then put her in the RnP. Sometimes she's already asleep, sometimes she's almost asleep and I rock her a little bit, and sometimes she's fussy and I have to walk around the room bouncing her for a bit until she calms down.

Age: 3.5 weeks (How is it that it's going so fast but also slow? I'm in such a weird fog all the time!)
Milestones: J is sleeping better at night...not great by any means but will sleep 2-3 hours at least once a night which is a vast improvement. He gained a full pound!
Good/Bad from the week: Good-He seems more alert and has been taking longer naps (an hour instead of 15-30 minutes). Bad-Spitting up, possible reflux and going to the doctor. Him having painful gas and not pooping for 2 days but finally feeling better when he did. Friday night and Saturday were awful for sleeping and DH and I were left exhausted and grouchy.
Questions: So many but I ask them constantly in the randoms thread :-)

Age: 6 weeks
Milestones: E and D slept through the night once, giving social smiles, tracking well
Good: Improved sleep, more alert while awake, seem to be gaining weight appropriately
Bad: D is spitting up more
No questions at the moment

Age: 5 weeks
Milestones: Smiling more and cooing occasionally. Doing well with tummy time.
Good/Bad from the week: Good: Still random good stretches of sleep. She loves her bath! Bad: Super fussy most of the day. It's exhausting and makes me crazy trying to figure out why when it's likely just her. She isn't showing signs of allergies, intolerance or reflux.
Questions: Not right now

Age: 5 weeks (1 month)
Milestones: smiling, more awake time, good head control, reaching for toys
Good/Bad from the week: Good: R is a relatively good/easy baby. Bad: R doesn’t sleep 12 hours at night yet.
R had her one month appointment today. Her doctor said that if she didn’t know her birth date that she’d think she was four months old based on her measurements and abilities. 11lb 13 oz (94th %), 22.95” (92nd %), head circumference 39.2 cm (83rd %)

Age: 16 weeks/4 adjusted
Milestones: holding head up with good control, following us with their eyes.
Good/Bad from the week: we went from frequent poopers to constipation. No real change to diet so I'm curious to see what the ped says today. Definitely making for a pair of more fussy babies. B has his surgery scheduled for his hernia repair (12/11).
Questions: none at the moment.
