Never on desktop? Use desktop mode on mobile.
Can't think of an interesting picture? Google image search your SN.
I'm always on mobile and I can't with the sea of grey heads anymore.

Mobile browser won't let you edit avatars, I thought it was a tapa limitation.
Thankfully mine pulled over with tapa from tcf. Otherwise I'd be rocking Travolta for a while bc I never get desktop time at home

You can easily switch back and forth from mobile to desktop to change your avatar from your phone
I also entered this thread slightly worried about my lack of avata, or knowledge of what it is.

For all of you on mobile who don't have access to a desktop at the moment, someone gave me the advice to switch to desktop version and you can upload an image that way. Worked for me.
