MH took C to a "drive in movie" our neighbors were doing for all the kids. They all rolled up in their power wheels to watch, so cute! That is fucking adorable.

DH woke up on the wrong side of the bed. The boys are super hyper. This is not going to go well. At least Col has a birthday party at the local bounce house place, so at least we can escape for a bit.

I stayed up watching the game with him and was really getting into it (which I never watch football) and he made a comment that he wished he was watching it with his friends instead of me. So I went to bed right before the double overtime. Fucker. I'm still mad about it.

MH had to be up at 5:30 to leave for work by 6. Of course I woke up. S woke up when he left but thankfully fell back asleep.
Both kids slept till around 7:30 but I did not. I've been trying to cut out the 713463 calorie coffee but I think today will be an exception
We're headed uptown (have to pass the Dunkin') for a town fair in a few minutes, but now we're lounging watching tv.

Oh my gosh, game was such a snooze-fest until the last quarter. When Franks threw that pass I started screaming, C was crying in terror, and B started running in circles like a maniac yelling "we won! We won!"

Good morning everyone. I tried to check in earlier but my child continued making disastrous messes until now.
I have two questions for the studio audience:
Does your N13 child wear slippers? What type?
What's your favorite non-annoying semi-educational TV show for your N13 child? We're in a rut and we don't have television where we can see a variety. If I ever have to watch another episode of Thomas, it'll be one too many.

Morning!
DH got home from the fishing weekend this morning with 20 lbs of mahi filets. I think he's going to give some to a neighbor but looks like my garage freezer will be full of fish.
Putting C down for a nap ATM. Not sure what's on the agenda today but I would love Chipotle for lunch and I need to get some drapery hardware for the guest bedroom.

csho B has been really into the Octonauts lately and I think it's actually pretty well-done and less annoying than most. He's been talking to us about various sea creatures (narwhal and vampire squid are the latest) and yesterday he went on about a water spout for quite sometime. It's a Disney show and is also on Netflix.

Mh was not impressed when I told him that even if UT scored, USC just needed to get into field goal range to tie it up. Then, that's exactly what they did. He made a comment about my sudden influx of football knowledge. It's just basic math, buddy.

csho, Josie likes Octonauts, too (me too, actually). It taught all of us A LOT about sea life. Peg + Cat -- pbs and amazon -- numbers and patterns. Super Why and Word World -- Netflix and amazon/pbs, respectively -- letters, but she got bored with both quickly Dot -- Hulu -- a curious little girl who's focused on technology (another favorite) And in the world of strange, yet captivating, try Sarah and Duck -- Netflix --Short episodes. A little girl talking to her duck and the other objects around her. I'm not doing it justice, but we just love it. Peep and the Big Wide World-- pbs/amazon. I like the animation, Josie likes duck. It's narrated by Joan Cusack.

Josie was being a real pill this morning – whiny, asking for things to eat and then not eating them, just not like her at all. She was making me so frustrated, and then out of nowhere I thought something might be wrong and checked her temperature. 100.4. I gave her Motrin, and mh picked her up to carry her downstairs and she vomited all over him. Poor thing. She's on the couch now. Her fever is down to 99.6. Thank goodness she didn't have any solid food this morning, but I'm going to scrub the floor for a second time, anyway!

Anyone have any suggestions for a bday present for a 4 year old girl? $20 range. I'll go to either target or toys r us to buy the gift, I'm just not sure what to get. Taking O to a bday party at a bounce house today at 1:30 (like joelies). At the gym now waiting for MH to get done so we can go out to breakfast. Kids are at home with the babysitter.

Book? I just bought a 4yo pyjamas with a matching one for her doll, it was a big hit!!!

Yep. People always think they're twins and that Cass is 5. She's always topped out the growth charts. Now she's up there with Cadence and is just over 42". Maddie's around 46".
