I have both kids home today and no plan. If it stays nice I'll probably take them for a walk and out for coffee. I really need to kick my Starbucks habit because it's unnecessary calories and expensive, but it's so good.

I'm here...preschool today and maybe some errands while B is busy.
My sister called last night and asked if she could come visit us next week/end...um, yes! So I'm holding off on shopping until she comes and we can go together. I need all the things for fall.

Friday! Our gym was closed this morning due to no power. I'm kinda hoping they're closed later today so I don't have to go.

Jack has been fever free since 4 yesterday. Dh is home with him though. Hopefully this is it. We're still leaving for our trip. They're so excited. Unless he takes a turn I think he'll be fine by the time we get there.

DH is meeting me at the builders at noon to sign the final contract. He started pulling the permits yesterday now that the septic system design is done. My best friend that put an offer in on a house by me, her house got an above asking price offer yesterday! So it's happening! Both offers were accepted! The people buying hers want to be in by October 24! I'm so excited.

Happy Friday ladies! Hope the boys stay healthy peachsmama! Question/advice needed We will get the funding for our HELOC Tuesday. H wants to immediately use all the money and pay off our credit cards, the interest rate is much lower than our credit cards, so I get why he wants to. I want to wait a few weeks or month to see where we are financially to make sure we don't need the money for something else, other bills. Then, when he returns to work, pay off credit cards with whatever is left. I get where he's coming from and he gets where I'm coming from, but we can't really agree what to do. I'm going to write down our current balance and interest rate on our cards today so we can discuss this weekend, but wonder if I'm just being over anxious and shouldn't consider the HELOC like a savings account. |

mwhip, I have no idea what a HELOC is. However, can you put half the money towards credit cards and then save the other half until you make a plan?

We're going to this animal park tomorrow and DINOSAUR World on Sunday and our hotel has a pool. So the boys will be in heaven! It's just me and my mom and the boys. DH is going to a truck show with his dad and working on clearing more trees. The animal park has kangaroos you can pet. |

Home Equity Line of Credit That was the other suggestion, pay off at least one card now, then see where we are part way through him being off work. This is probably the best suggestion to keep us both happy. |

He's been asking to go to the dinosaur museum (the creation museum) but it's sooo expensive to get in and there's not enough dinosaurs. And it doesn't sit well with me that a museum that apparently was built to teach people about God gouges you at $39 a person to get in.. |

His surgery is 10/3 (although that may change since he missed his original MRI date) and he will be off a minimum of 2 months. He will get short term disability. So we have 2 weeks until he goes out of work, not much time to put much into savings, although we have both cut way back on stupid spending (sorry Target). |

Morning.
Today is my home day with B and these are my favorite days. He's at a fun age AND still naps. So I actually get some down time.
S has been asking to go to work w MH forever and he finally has a job he could take him to. His job is an on site manager for events so it's basically a construction site. MH bought him a little hard hat, reflective vest and work gloves.
He is in heaven.
And the job is 3 hours away near his parents so they left last night and stayed there overnight. It was so weird to wake up with only 1 kid!!
