We're almost there!
DD was feeling much better yesterday after school and this morning the running nose was almost completely gone. YAY! I've been pumping her with Vitamin C and it seems to be working.

I was sick over the weekend, and dd went back to school today after missing two days with a fever and sinus drainage. Poor kid always gets sick within the first few weeks of school. I went ahead and scheduled our flu shots in October.

I think I'll get my flu shot next time we're at Costco. We got them there last year and it was pretty cheap. I have to make an appointment for my son with his pedi.
Currently at my hair appointment waiting for the dye to set. I brought my Kindle to read but here I am on HIH. Tonight I'm going to the open house at my son's school. I'm going by myself since it's parents only and we have no sitter for my son. My parents usually watch him but they are living it up in Europe for the next month. Slightly jealous.

R has been waking up really early and went back to 2 naps a day. Not a huge deal, but waking up early sucks and we had such a good routine going. Not sure what's going on with her. Hopefully she starts sleeping again soon, though. I'm exhausted.
I think I'm going to make Blondies today. A friend was talking about cookies and now I have a need.

I work from home and our main office is close to my mom. Work asked if I would be willing to come out for two weeks in November. I really want to, DD will go with and spend time with all the grandparents and extended family so that would be great. Now to get DH on board.
Thanks for the flu shot reminder, need to get on that as well since DD has a bit of a runny nose now that school started again.

Just a normal Thursday for me, though pretty busy at work, but at least it's making the day go by fast! I'm having dinner at my mom's tonight (she's watching DS today) since H has class tonight. DS didn't sleep well last night, so I'm thinking I'll be going to bed soon after him tonight!

I had a lady over to talk to me about Medicare advantage plans and I'm so overwhelmed with information overload I don't even know what to do. Ugh. Blondies didn't happen, but as soon as H gets home I'm getting a cider, locking myself in the bathroom, and taking a long hot bath.

I just got back from the school's open house. It went well. We found out that Dorian's teacher is pregnant and due in March so they'll have a new teacher when she goes on maternity leave. I'm slightly bummed because she's a good teacher but more than anything I am happy for her.
They had a PTO booth set up. I'm considering joining. Maybe. We'll see.

I had to take DD out of dancing this year because she refuses to go into the studio without me. Instead we are doing gymnastics twice a week. Now she is refusing to do gymnastics without me. Luckily they have been letting me walk around with her but I think they're getting annoyed by it. My niece saved me today. She used to do gymnastics at the same gym and arranged to volunteer during both of DD's classes. They may not kick us out after all...

Work from home is NOT what I imagined. I was an unshowered, stressed, and lonely mess today and worked longer hours than I would have in an office. Great. DD is in a nature-based school and it is the best thing ever. She has never slept better in her entire life, comes home exhausted, agrees to eat basically anything and goes to bed without a fight at 8 pm.

The key for me is to still treat it like an office. I get up early every morning to shower, make my coffee and get ready for the day. And at 5:00 when my day would be over if I were at the office, I shut down my computer so I am not tempted to work. As far as the stressed part goes, I don't have any advice for that. I have still have very stressful days too...I think that just is a fact of life that can't be avoided no matter where you work. How long has you been working from home for?

misspeansmama, Only 2 months, so I am still finding my stride. Generally, I try to follow the same rules and they work well. But the night before I had cried myself to sleep for hours, so I was exhausted and my husband needed extensive help with getting DD ready for nursery school so at 8 am, I was not even dressed in proper clothes but needed to start work.

That's tough. Days/nights like that are hard.
