M woke up from her nap yesterday with these spots on the back of her hand and wrist. Then I found these other spots on her hip yesterday evening. This morning there were a couple new spots on her hand and they all looked redder, the spots on her hip look exactly the same today. All the bumps on her hand are very raised, and look like they have a little white dot in the center of most of them. The ones on her hip are barely barely raised. She's acting normally and doesn't seem to be bothered by either set of bumps. She has a doctor's appointment already next week so I'm wondering if I can hold off until then or if I should call and take her in. I texted my Derm BFF some pictures to get her opinion too but she doesn't really work with kids so I'm hoping to get some mom advice. Or anecdotes. I love anecdotes.

Hmmmm...being on hand and wrist would have me questioning too and probably taking her in. Unless she's been crawling around outside a lot and could just be bug bites or (eek) poison ivy. If it was her diaper area I'd just wait....
ETA: I love when there's photos of baby rolls and the body part is unidentifiable.

I'd probably take her in. Unlike she could have gotten some bug bites the red/raised part reminds me of chicken pox. But there are soooo many options.

When I first saw them yesterday there were like 3 so I thought maybe there was a weird bug in her room that bit her while she was sleeping. But then they multiplied and there are some on her hip which was under several layers of clothing. So now I'm wondering if J brought home some germs from preschool and shared with her.

Keep an eye on palms and soles of feet. Any red dots there, even tiny ones, would probably mean hfm. Not that there's anything you can do about it but watch it for sores in the mouth and give Tylenol if eating gets hard.

Yeah, + whatever to hfm. W and I both had spots pretty much everywhere but hands and feet in the beginning.
