I also had my first appointment & ultrasound yesterday afternoon. Perfect single babe pregnancy, measuring right track for 6 weeks 4 days. We were worried there might be two, thanks to our big kid (I'll add that story to the bottom).
However, between my next two appointments, I'll be seeing the MFM I saw during my daughter's pregnancy. During her delivery, my uterus had started to thin quite noticeably, even though I hadn't hit 40 weeks yet & was just over 39. Because of this, I'll be delivering sometime between 36 & 39 weeks. I won't know more until sometime in February or March, most likely, but I'll definitely be having an April baby.
I'm kind of worried. I grow small babies. My oldest was 10 days early & my now middle was 3 days early & neither hit 6 pounds, so delivering so many weeks early means that they'll be even smaller, possibly. It's all very much in the air, outside of a healthy & thriving pregnancy so far. It's weird to have no end in site, though. Just an open ended calendar of sometime in April (for now).
& now the twins story: the weekend I ovulated with his sister, my then just over 3 year old walked into our friend's house for a barbecue & announced loudly that I had his baby sister in my belly. It's not something H & I remotely discussed anywhere he'd be able to hear. He then went on to accurately predict the pregnancies & sexes of something like 8 of our friends & families babies. He said there were two & we were his first miss.
