What's happening today?
I actually got a decent nights sleep, thanks to yoga. DD is going to daycare and I have a few appointments today. Nothing too exciting, just a quick doctors to renew a prescription, massage and chiro appointment.

Good morning! I have my group B strep test this morning which I'm not looking forward to. And then work. Exciting day planned.

Morning. Not too much going on today. I have to get in the shower. H and I will go visit E today. It was nice being out of the hospital last night.

It's finally appointment day for me! I'll get an US to check growth, cervical check, GBS test, & basic midwife check-up. H actually gets to come to this appointment which is rare, but I'm excited since it will be such an "eventful" visit.
In other news, my sleep is complete shit. I wake up 87 times per night and of course I have to go to the bathroom every time. Then I'm faced with the daunting task of getting back into bed and maneuvering my whale-like self into a comfortable position. 18 days from my due date...but who's counting?

I actually slept good last night. I also apparently snored like a freight train. Sorry not sorry, DH. Pay backs, I suppose. I needed a decent night of sleep so very much. DON'T WE ALL????
I'm looking sausage-y with all the swelling today. I put my ring on and thought, "hmm....that is TIGHT." Couldn't get it back off. I reached this point so much earlier last pregnancy and I've enjoyed being able to wear my ring until now. I really miss it when I can't wear it.

I spent a good chunk of this week wrapping up some work related stuff and some serious organizing and washing bubs stuff. Now I'm having to sit for a while cos my SI pain is causing my legs to buckle when I take steps. 😭😭 hopefully I can get going in a little bit. Luckily no school today for DS but we start going everyday next week.

Not sure how since I felt like I barely slept buuuuut oh well. *shrug*

duskymonkey Like was for getting stuff accomplished this week - sorry for the SI pain! I hope the rest helps. Today was pretty good! I found out at my appointment that baby is no longer breech, which is awesome news! I am 35 weeks tomorrow and know he can technically still turn back to breech this next week, but I told him to stay put - so I hope he is a good little baby and listens 😀. I just found out my local mom friends here are putting together a little baby brunch for me next week, which is so nice of them to do! I'm really looking forward to it and hope baby stays inside at least another week so I can enjoy our little celebration 🎉😊

I'm so swollen. My fingers are like sausages and I officially have cankles. I need some cooler weather asap.
Super jealous of those in the last two-ish weeks. I still have 46 days to go. I would love a Halloween baby but time needs to speed up then.

Just talked to my realtor and made a very tentative plan (since we don't know when or where we are going yet). She gave me some marching orders for getting the house ready which roughly translates into : I'm going to make a list so I dont forget and put it off for another day 😂

duskymonkey ouch! I'm sorry that SI is causing so much pain. Went to my appointment but didn't get GBS done. They said next visit. She did say baby is head down, but still allll on my right side. I'm ready for baby snuggles. All of these outside babies are making me so anxious.

I'm apparently using this week to catch up on all the things at work! Cleaning up my inbox, writing performance reviews for staff, writing recommendation letters for my direct report that's off to get her MBA, making sure all my time reporting is accurate. I'm nesting... but at work! lol

To continue the speech therapy/early intervention discussion from last night, DS has his 6 month evaluation with his EI today. Two weeks ago we already decided to drop OT and PT, so now I'm hoping he still qualifies for speech. That sounds bad, but our insurance doesn't pay anything for it, so I'd like him to continue getting services through EI.
Other than that just "working" from home today. I'm trying to figure out what to have for lunch since I ate my lunch at 10:30.

I have a 2 hour training for a software I don't even use anymore. I forget all the new features and processes they show because I haven't touched this in almost a year. Also, it's from 12-2. So I guess I should go eat now.

I reached this point so much earlier last pregnancy and I've enjoyed being able to wear my ring until now. I really miss it when I can't wear it. I've been the opposite with my rings. Last pregnancy, I was quietly smug about the fact that I was able to wear them all the way through. This time, I swear my fingers turned to sausages the moment the pee stick was dry. Karma's a bitch! I feel naked without my rings too, so I ordered a larger size band for $20 from Amazon. It's inlaid with CZ so there's still some sparkle, and since its flat it will serve the dual purpose of being my infant-safe ring. I accidentally scratched DD with my solitaire when she was tiny and squirmy, and I felt terrible! So I'll continue to wear my pregnancy bling for at least a few months PP, by which point I'm hoping it will be too loose.

I took DD to her gymnastics class yesteday, and I think I am paying for it today. Oof. I'm feeling extra stuff and sore, hard to say whether it's from the extra bending or tossing around all night, but either way it stinks.

I decided to read some of the notes I took from this time in my pregnancy with DS to compare to what I've got going on now. Bummed myself out when I saw that at 34w I had only gained 17 lbs, but I was up 29 lbs at my 34w appointment this time around. Midwife hasn't commented on it but oof.
I also noticed that at 36w with DS was when I first started experiencing rising BP, and after my 36w appointment was the first time the midwife sent me to have an NST at L&D. Prior to my 36w appointment I noted that I had a few episodes of short-term blurred vision. Well, apparently like clockwork, a few nights ago (35w) I had about 30 minutes of blurred vision after a shower (no other symptoms). It's making me anxious that the same BP stuff is cropping back up just like it did with DS. Guess I will find out at my 36w appointment next week.

It might not be a bad idea to get a call in to your doctor early, arimaythea. Vision changes make me nervous in general, but I'd hate for things to not get caught early because you were waiting for an appt. In Ramlet news, I'm pretty sure I passed the 1hr glucose test. Barely. The normal range is <=130 and my result was 130, so...win?

Holy moly it's hot out today! I was getting used to the cooler fall weather last week, but this week it's been back in the 80s and I'm melting. Took DS to get a haircut this afternoon, it was getting to be long overdue and I wanted to get it done before baby makes her arrival. Then we made a quick run through the McDonald's drive though on the way home for lunch, and came running back to our nice cool apartment (AC still broken in our car, maybe we'll fix it next year). DS put his 6pc nuggets away in record time, then went down for nap. We're going out for dinner with a friend later, so hopefully he gets some good sleep in before then. I might follow suit, a nap sounds divine right now.

Only because I've been in the thick of it, blurred vision gets an instant call to the doc. I would suggest calling now and not waiting.

Lots of stress today DH and I got into the biggest fight ever last night, I have never seen him so mad. Definitely said things we didn't mean and we know we have stuff to work on. If anyone wants to check out my LLR inventory for a nice discount, let me know! My appointment today was okay, I updated the check in thread but in short my BP was slightly elevated and I had some protein in my urine so I was sent for blood work. Hoping it comes back ok. Baby is still transverse but sounded good.

My first was born at the end of November so I got away with all the comfy clothes during post partum because of the time of year. Excited to be able to do that again!

I don't even have a wedding ring. We never got one. No engagement ring either. Hubs did get me a sweet road bike instead 😂😂 Guess a FFFC? 🤷🏻♀️ Even with my watch it usually comes off when I'm working; depending on what component of a project I'm on.

Did you end up with a pree diagnosis with your first? Have you called the dr about any of this? I've seriously had you on my mind. Please be careful
