What books are your kids loving right now? Particularly the older preschoolers. I feel like we need some next level books.
Which ones are you considering hiding because you just can't read it again?

Ok I don't even own Heather has two Mommies. Lol. Speaking of that, my high school BFF's son slept over and brought the cutest book with him. I forget what it's called, but it was a true story of two male penguins who fell in love at a zoo and the zookeeper gave them an egg to take care of so they could have a baby together. It was adorable.

You don't like it? I guess maybe if I had to read it a lot, I wouldn't love it, but I was so excited to find out it was a true story.

It was something in the beginning about how they immediately set them apart and labeled them as different. I mean it's obvious when you get into it but when I started reading it to M and it was like "and these two were different" it made me feel weird.

Oh I'm ready to hide a series called Pinkalicious that somehow made it into our house. Self explanatory there.
The only good thing about it is hearing M call her "pink delicious".

+1 to Rosie Revere (and the other ones).
M is currently loving on a library book called Even Monsters Need Haircuts.
We're also really into books that are songs, like Wonderful World, Puff the Magic Dragon and lots of Raffi songs. Even my 6 year old niece and nephew like those

OMG someone got us that and Aqualicious for the girls' bday and I can't stand them! The girl is a total brat and ick with the overly girly crap.

P is obsessed with the Magic Tree House Series... I wasn't sure how he would do with it since they are all chapter books and he is only 4, but he loves it and bonus points for not having to read them over and over.
also Maisy books. and anything by Lucy Cousins, especially Peck Peck Peck
I want to throw are you my mother?

Tabby McTat the Musical Cat is the big hit here right now. It's the same author as Room On the Broom. Dragons Love Tacos J (5) loves anything with Star Wars Legos. I had no idea that it was possible for someone of my generation to get sick of Star Wars, but here we are. Llama Llama Gram and Grandpa The Pout Pout Fish Olivia

My child is not a preschooler, but she is currently obsessed with Aliens Love Underpants, Blueberry Girl by Neil Gaiman, and Giraffe and a Half by Shel Silverstein. And Cecily G and the 9 Monkeys by HA Rey, which she only owns because it has her name in it. It's a weird book and way too long, but she loves to talk about the "faffe" and the "ingeys."

C has been bringing home Froggy books from the library that are funny. I don't recommend the Barbie fairy early reader books though. If the words have to be so easy, why did they choose names for the fairies that I can't even pronounce?
