I am on the hunt for a fall jacket...nothing too formal, more something to wear running errands or out with DD, so goes with leggings or jeans. But also doesn't scream "maternity" so loudly I can't wear after baby arrives.
Ladies in cooler climates, any luck with maternity jackets?

I got one from Motherhood Maternity when I was pregnant with DS. It's a black peacoat. I also wore it with I baby wore DS if it was cold.

I have a nice Colombia fleece that I bought before I was pregnant. It fit a little big before I started showing but not obnoxiously so. Now it naturally stretches over my bump.

I just roll with an oversized hoodie. We get brutal winters but I can survive until November without. I did last time too. I run soooooo hot when pregnant the last thing I want is a jacket.

I'll just wear my maternity zip up as long as possible. It shouldn't **crosses fingers/knocks on wood** get too cold here by November. Hopefully. I'm not buying a jacket to wear for 4 weeks.

I live in the arctic, so I bought a maternity parka from Old Navy when I was pregnant with DD. No regrets. I still use it when not pregnant because it's so roomy, comfy, and warm.
I will live in layers and sweaters until it's cold enough for that jacket.
So basically I am no help.

My fleece's zipper has been very unhappy with me the last few days. There's a chance I may not need it again anytime soon though because Irma has officially passed us and it will be in the 80s again by Friday.

I would steal a jacket from my H but he never wears jackets except for his ski jacket to shovel snow (or ski). I do have a winter coat that fits over my bump but it's too much for fall. If it gets down below 50 in October I will probably use it but otherwise it's too hot.

I had to buy a winter coat with DS ( born in February) but until I did, I went with open coat and a really warm scarf. Probably also not helpful. Maybe a warm poncho that you could wear post partum?

Yep, I'm thinking open coat and warm scarf will be enough to get me to the beginning of November where I am!

Maybe if I get something like this, I can get away with it post-baby too. Thoughts?
Ugh link won't work. It's the Gap maternity utility jacket

Lol bazi, I wore a blazer the other day too and realized I'm probably better off with cardigans, ha. I also think I'm starting to get so big people are like 'is that new?' and I've been wearing it for months just filling it out now. That's not a bad idea. I have a non-mat version of that jacket and it's a good fall jacket!

I just wore my regular fleece zip up open last time (and I had a January baby) but I run super hot and when pregnant, I'm a furnace

I like this, is it pretty lightweight?

bazi I would say so ... it's got the wool pea coat part and then just like silky lining on the inside. Definitely room for a sweater under it. I just tried on mine (which apparently was in a nap spot of one of my cats ... gr).

I can't remember what I did when I was pregnant with my 2.5 year old. Also a February baby. I must have just done open jacket and hopes for the best. Lol. I know my vice principal did all my recess duty for me come January so I didn't go outside all that much.
