We had a pretty good day! DS had his 2.5 year check up and didn't cry when he got his 2 shots. I'm sooooo proud of him 😀. Boy did he look pissed when they stuck him with the needle in each arm though. He just gave this death stare and looked at me like - "WTF are they doing to me - this is so not cool."
Luckily, before he got too angry, we got him all excited about the cool "stickers" (band-aids) they put on his arms, and we asked him to show us his muscles. Sure enough, that distracted him enough to start smiling and showing off with his muscle pose. Phew!😅
I am feeling okay...still trying to stay convinced that the baby has turned head down and I won't need a c-section. I will find out tomorrow for sure when I see my MFM for an ultrasound. Fingers crossed! 🤞🤞

Just got back from my AS. All is well!
The whole u/s and MFM visit was so fast though that I feel like they had to miss something. My H thinks I'm crazy but we were in and out in like 30 minutes! The tech and the Dr said the baby was very cooperative so maybe that added to it. I just feel like it was rushed. Dr said everything is right in track and looks perfect so I should chill the F out.
I think I'm worried about my cervical length. The tech measured it at 4.1. I asked the Dr and he did a quick measure and it was 3.6. He said it can vary depending on bladder fullness, pressure a bunch of things. He said 3.6 was normal. I was 4.9 with DS2.
I create things to worry about.

Well, my doctor said no flying for me. :-( On the good news side, Dad is semi-conscious and is able to nod and smile and can now sip water and eat pureed foods. So even though the doctor said it was a massive stroke, he seems to be recovering to some degree. It's still touch and go though. I'm so torn about planning a long car trip now or waiting. The problem being I don't want to travel too much closer to my due date and travel with a newborn during flu season is out so I'd have to leave her which would be it's on special kind of nightmare particularly if I'm trying to breastfeed.
To add to the stress, I don't feel like my mom and brother are really advocating for Dad. My mom signed paperwork saying he's to have no medical interventions whatsoever (other than pain meds). I feel like at this point he's getting better just to spite her which makes me happy. It's the kind of thing he would do.

Taitai 🤞For a good appointment tomorrow. Do you feel like the baby is still breach? rebeccabunch I know it's easier said than done when you are told not to worry, so I won't say that but it sounds like the A/s went well.

bootsorhearts1 , I'm so sorry the flight option is out but glad to hear your dad it making progress. How far is the drive? 13 hours normally. If we tow the camper so don't have to stay with Mom, +2 hours. If I have to stop every 40 mins for me to pee, +19,098,987 hours. :-P

Finally back at work today. Unfortunately, every task I need to work on is waiting on work from someone else. There is very little work I can actually do right now, and I'd like to get everything knocked out before my leave starts in 2.5 weeks (or less!). So frustrating.
Along those lines, holy cow I only have at max 2.5 weeks before my leave starts! I am so so so ready!! I have an appointment tomorrow for an US to check growth and they'll also do my first cervical check. Trying not to get my hopes up, but I'm hoping my body has made the slightest bit of progress toward labor...even if it's just the tiniest bit.

DD had a tantrum while I was getting her ready for daycare since I wouldn't let her do yoga. I had my yoga mat with me since I'm going straight to yoga after work. Toddlers are so weird.
To add to my IL's saga, that trip I mentioned we are going on, H told his mom and sister so now it may be a giant family trip. And no one can ever agree on anything. 😂

I'm having lots of anxiety and getting pissy lately. Anxiety about being ready for this baby and daycare situation. I feel like there is not enough time even though my due date is literally the last day of October. And I'm moving DS and #2 to four days a week so my mom can watch them but she has been known to cancel last minute and I have probably asked her a thousand times if she is 100% committed.
I'm pissy because I finally heard from our assigned speech therapist and she literally has no availability that works for us. I don't know why she was even assigned to us since I gave them my availability at the end of our evaluation two weeks ago. She then suggested to wait until I start my maternity leave and I firmly told her I'm not waiting 6-8 weeks to get the help my son needs.
I'm having ragey hormones lately.

Taitai I've been sending baby taitai all the vibes to turn. FX you have a good report tomorrow! rebeccabunch, it sounds like the U/S went well! Plus you have the good NT screening results, right? I know how hard it is not to worry, though. bootsorhearts1 I'm happy to hear your dad is showing improvements. So sorry about the travel situation....

bootsorhearts1, sorry to hear about your dad and hopefully you'll get to see him soon. rebeccabunch, if it makes you less worried (probably not ), they were measuring my cervix up to 24 weeks to make sure I didn't need a cerclage. Mine was around the same length as yours during my A/S and they described it as very long.

With a newborn, +3 hours for stops to feed! With 5 weeks to go, I'd probably opt to travel now - but have a backup plan for good hospitals near your dad / on the way.

rebeccabunch Hooray for a good AS! Agree with the other ladies about trying not to worry, easier said than done. bootsorhearts1 So sorry to hear about your dad. Not much going on here. Taking the day off work and running a bunch of errands/getting ready for ILs visiting starting tomorrow.

bootsorhearts1, I'm so sorry about your dad. I know it's tough with you being pregnant and not able to be there. rebeccabunch, Others have already said it, but try not to worry and enjoy every second you can! I have already eaten my lunch that I brought and I'm still hungry. Morning me should really take more consideration for afternoon me.

thatgirlrachel, I can relate, lately I've been like a hobbit having 2nd breakfast almost every day. The last week or so I just don't feel like I can hit bottom. I'm so hungry all the time. This girl must be growing like crazy.

I just got back from my haircut and feel so much lighter!!! I walked around the shopping plaza for a bit and ended up buying a bunch of books and some clothes for DD1....and some yummy cupcakes for myself, but I guess I will share with her. Also had my first pumpkin spice latte of the season.
As for the eating- I am the complete opposite of feeling hungry. I feel SO full all the time I can't eat very much at once.
