Anyone have one of these? We have a fence going around our property but not around our pool. Now that DD is walking and is a daredevil we need something. We were going to do a temporary fence but they are costly and not necessarily the safest. We've done some research and it looks like a safety net is the way to go. But, they look like a pain in the ass. Anyone with insight?

Our neighbors have a Katch A Kid pool net and it seems pretty fool proof to me. I've never put it on or taken it off but it only takes them a couple of minutes and it is definitely worth the peace of mind. It probably wouldn't be hard for an older child to figure out if they really wanted to, but a toddler definitely couldn't get it off alone.

I don't have a pool, but a good friend does. She has three children ages 4 and under. They gated their back porch only. It seems to work pretty well. The latch to release the gate is on the side that the pool is on, so you have to reach over the gate and unlatch the gate to access the pool.

We have a pool net on a pool that isn't fenced in. DS (17 mo) is fascinated by the pool and we have found that the net would stop him going all the way under the water, but he'd still get into trouble if he fell on the net. I.e. He wouldn't be able to get off, he'd still get wet, he may get stuck with his face in the water. So it has to be net + vigilance.

We have a Protect A Child fence. It is temporary and can be removed but not easily. It is great and has a gate built in with a lock. It is incredibly sturdy and well made. We love ours and I love the peace of mind that it brings. The kids can play in the main part of the yard and I don't have to worry about the pool.

Yes they do. They give you caps to put in the holes if you take the fence out.
