I think my office is trying to freeze us out. It's like 80° outside & I'm inside with a sweater on & my space heater going. Brr!

Need to go find gym shoes for DD, something without laces that she can keep at school. That is about as exciting as my day is going to get.
Need to fit in a workout today to try get out of my current funk.

I ate too big of a lunch, and now I just want to take a nap at my desk.

I woke up with a headache & still not 100%. They called me at 7am to cover the librarian at DS' school. He was mad it wasn't his library day. Lol I'm almost done for the day. Oy. I was looking forward to sleeping today but alas my luck.

I'm feeling some type of way about this person from soccer that rsvped when the party was in session & then brought her two other children without asking. While there she then said she would bring DS' gift at soccer practice tonight. Fine, whatever. Fast forward to tonight. She shows up late to practice, totally ignores us, no gift. Not that we're desperate for a gift, it's the principle of the matter. So tacky. Yuck. Then when it was over it seemed like she was purposely talking to the coach longer to give us a head start to the playground where the kids usually go & by the time she moseyed over, we were already at the car. I didn't have time to make us in the same general area to see if she would say anything. It just rubs the wrong way so much. Icky squicky.

My son had an early dismissal today so we went to the children's museum for animal feeding time. We ended up being the only ones there (at feeding, there were probably other people in the museum) This worked out great for us because the woman who was doing the feeding let my son go in the back and feed all the animals with her. I watched from up front. He's been able to do this a couple of times and loves it! The people who work there are so good to him.
When she was done there was still half an hour before the museum closed so she shut the sanctuary doors and took their five ferrets out. They were so adorable running around and playing with each other. They are usually asleep when we are there. She also took out my son's favorite animal, the opossum, for him. This was after she put the ferrets back obviously lol
Dance starts tomorrow. We got his jazz shoes the other day but he'll have to wear his old ballet shoes for a little bit. The store didn't have the shoes he needed in a small enough size. I think I'm just going to try to find them on Amazon. I'm going to miss watching him do tap but I think he will really like jazz.

NamasteBirches Bringing kids who weren't invited to the party is ballsy. The gift thing and avoiding you is weird. Why even mention a gift if you have no intention of bringing one?

What's even more weird is when she texted & said they were coming she asked 'are you doing presents & if so what does DS like?' Um it's a party for a 6yo. Really? I'd very much prefer if she would have just kept her mouth shut & showed up with nothing instead of lead us on. I remember everything.

They fact that she brought other kids without asking is annoying and rude. But the whole thing about the present is really odd. That would totally rub me the wrong way too.
