I woke up a million times last night. I assume the rest of the week will be busy since we were closed yesterday. I just want to go back to bed.

+1 to shit-tastic night of sleep 😑. Made it to the gym 20 mins earlier than normal and even ran to the grocery store after. A has gymnastics today then we'll go to story time. Sign me up for a nap later, please!

Mornin'! Heading to the nature center for a hike with the girls after we drop DS off at school. It's going to be gorgeous out today so I want to enjoy it while we can...winter will be here soon enough, ugh. I have a PTC meeting tonight; I've volunteered but never attended a meeting and I'd like to start. 👍

Morning! Trying to get back into my morning running routine. Got myself up to do a few miles. Headed to vote in the primary election now and then off to work.

Morning! I didn't want to get out of bed today. Not sure if it was because it was warm in bed and chilly out of bed (the nights have been cool here and the house is getting into the low 60's overnight but I will NOT turn on the heat yet). The days have been mid 70's. We are supposed to get a small warm up later this week which will be nice. H took the kids to daycare, is going to work and then leaving for VA for a work conference thing. Hoping DS starts listening and stops his attitude by the time he gets home or I'm going to lose my mind. I'm glad that I have the neighbors and in-laws reaching out to help this week. I should just move in with my neighbor though. Her H has been working OT since Harvey coordinating trucks for FEMA. Of course, it didn't stop with Irma.

fierymama we've had some cool nights too. Low to mid 50's. Big no to the heat too. Especially if it warming up during the day.

Hi quick update. Still no power. Jake's developed a fear of the dark and his shadow. They haven't been able to assess our area yet so no ETA of when it will be back.

Yay for a replay of a work seminar that I'm not super interested in because I caught up from Monday's thread! Let the tagging begin! :-) jedi - I bought that Usborne book for my kids too. Hoping to get them both doing some of the basics. I think the afternoon daycare personnel are going to restart sign language with DS so I may not push the spanish too much on him right now, but anything he wants to do, I'm all for it. layloo - Happy (belated) birthday. Like jedi - I'll be closer to 40 in 3 years than 30. Womp Womp. RunsforWineandCarbs, @hiimjaime and Betweenthelines - I'm glad everyone is okay and there has been little/no damage to the houses after Irma. I think we are getting remnants tomorrow. Not looking forward to the rain. jess213 - Holy shit, that would have me a mess too! Hopefully someone was able to grab her license plate or the make/model of the car and reported it. I'm glad DS is okay! redandblue - Good luck selling your home! We were lucky enough to be able to move out of our house when we had it listed. We didn't have to worry about cleaning every day or my work schedule. I don't ever want to sell again, the process was less than fun. mrspiatt - Your girls are adorable! I'm glad you got out of a blood draw and urine collection. Water, water, water! Hope that your migraines go away too. You need some stress-free weeks/months!

I had a reminder yesterday that DS (at 3 months shy of 3 years old) weight 27.8 lbs and was 37.5 inches tall. K, at just over 2 is already 27.2 lbs and 35 inches. I think she is going to outgrow her brother if he doesn't have a growth spur soon!

I have a friend coming to pick up Allison for a couple hours this morning. Workers will be here at 8 to start expanding the containment area (for cleaning station, etc). Then the environmental department needs to come out to confirm everything is up to cow, then work can start... I have no clue when that will actually be. H has kind of stepped in to help take some of the pressure off me with this whole thing. I don't like confrontation and honestly, I know that no one gives a shit about the house being done more than me and H... we have live in it. So I stepped in to make phone calls and bug the crap out of these people for answers and to do their jobs... not that it's really helped speed things along, but whatever. No one tells us anything and it's just frustrating... Friday was 3 weeks... he started calling the property manager (who has been removed from this entire process by the home owner) and got on their ass to get on the owners ass... he told them they need to start managing the property as they're paid to do. They did... the owners response??? We've been in touch with Melissa every step of the way... the fuck you have. I was so ragey and started screenshotting texts to send to them, but he responded first letting them know that was bs and filled them in on everything. I feel a bit better... this entire process has been so stressful.

We said goodbye to our dragon yesterday. We decided it was best to rehome him with all the uncertainty and moving coming up, but we hadn't planned in him leaving yesterday. We had nowhere to move him to with this containment expansion, so he had to go sooner. A was very sad saying goodbye and I cuddled him for about an hour before he left... the girl who took him was so smitten that it made it so much easier to say bye. He will be very loved.

Is 12.79 a good price for winter boots? ETA: for my oldest. Size 3 Considering I spend between 45-85$ for boots for the kids each... that would be a yes. I thought I was getting a steal buying transitional boots for 38!

I'm having a major "I'm an adult holy shite" morning. DS goes to school tomorrow. He has hockey tryouts Saturday and Sunday. I'm a sport mom. and a school mom. I am getting a weird nesting too lmao like I need to go grocery shopping because it just occurred to me this morning that I will need to pack an actual lunch for him for the first time!
