How far along are you?: 27w5d How big is baby?: Latern (Ovia) Any upcoming appointments this week?: One today. Things went good. HB was 146 bpm. Blood pressure is starting to rise. Also had glucose test so will wait for results. Doctor said that I will not go past 39 weeks so looks like I am having a November baby. Any new symptoms or changes?: The sciatic nerve pain has become crazy. It didnt help that we took an 8 hour road trip this weekend. But it comes and goes, so just par for the course. Also BH has started. Everytime it happens, I just push against H since that is what it feels like. Otherwise just big and uncomfortable. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Shit is getting real. Someone ordered us a crib and the nursery is no where close to being ready. Cue panic... GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Kiki LaRue. It is an online boutique that has real size clothes. One of the models is a 14 which is fantastic and the clothes are so so cute. (It is not LaLaRoe). I would highly suggest that yall check them out on either FB or www.kikilarue.com

How far along are you?: 26w3d
How big is baby?: Eggplant (WTE) / Bowling Pin (Ovia)
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Not until the 21st
Any new symptoms or changes?: Nothing in particular.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: My urge to clean the house seems to hit when I am... not in the house. Sitting at my desk at work I get all these ideas, and then when I get home, by the time I finish dinner I'm usually too tired. But we need to get a move on.
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?: Michael's. Give me all the crafts and decorations.

How far along are you?: 25weeks
How big is baby?: A prairie dog
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Nope. Had one last week and everything looks good!
Any new symptoms or changes?: I'm sore. My pubic bone and sciatic nerve are the biggest contributors to the sore factor.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I'm ready for maternity leave already. I just feel so much more over work this go round. I am headed to Target tonight to buy baby things to make myself feel better for not having done anything else yet for this kid. They have baby supplies on sale and if you spend $100 you get a $25 gift card. I am loading up on diapers.
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Guilt free maxing out would be Sephora. I want all of the fun things without the guilt of maybe only using them once. Otherwise probably Target.

How far along are you?: 25 weeks tomorrow
How big is baby?: I think they're getting close to 2lbs. Not sure what food comparison is up this week.
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Just my first preterm labor phone appointment. I don't have symptoms to report to them at this point so it should be quick.
Any new symptoms or changes?: I've been feeling really good the last few days! Reflux has stayed away and my energy level is good. I'm enjoying constant kicks and punches from the girls.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Only 14 more work days until I go on Maternity Leave! I've been having middle of the night insomnia a lot, which also happened with Gianna except later on, so I'm looking forward to being able to sleep in later!
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? I should pick somewhere more high end than Target but other stores just don't have the variety that Target does. Clothes, Makeup, Booze, Home Décor & Furniture? Gimme it all!

Any new symptoms or changes?: Just sweating a ton and not handling the heat well.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: my nesting urge has started. I want to get DD's room complete!
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? I don't know. I really don't like shopping that much, but I suppose target would probably be my best bet??

How far along are you?: 25w4d
How big is baby?: I was going to say napa cabbage, but I think I'll go with vegan's prairie dog answer.
Any upcoming appointments this week?: nope.
Any new symptoms or changes?: I feel huge, but what else is new.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I'm happy I passed the GTT and I got my first baby present today, a bunch of baby clothes from a fellow teacher. My favorite says "history maker," which is great because I'm a history teacher.
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? I'm going to have to say Target also. I save a lot of money using my red card, which of course means I spend a lot there.

belle0720 wow, that's soon for maternity leave! Is that standard for moms of twins or do you have a physically demanding job? Either way, enjoy!

How far along are you?: 28+3.
How big is baby?: coconut.
Any upcoming appointments this week?: not this week. I did set my appointments up through the end of November last week.
Any new symptoms or changes?: I passed my glucose test, got put on prescription reflux meds, and now I'm on iron too. I need a pill organizer.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: H has been really excited all of a sudden and it's adorable.
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Amazon. Is that an option? If not I would go with Target.

How far along are you?: 28w 1d Third trimester!!!
How big is baby?: Large Eggplant
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Friday, usual doctor's appointment and then my glucose test
Any new symptoms or changes?: Sleep is starting to get uncomfortable again. I toss and turn a lot in the night. I have also noticed more hip pain.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: None really. I have a lot to do in terms of getting the bedroom ready for this kid but in reality even if his room isn't ready when he arrives it really doesn't matter. He's going to be in our room for a while anyway.
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Add me to the Target club. The closest Target is actually over an hour away, but I love how you can get basically anything there.

Any upcoming appointments this week?: nope. Had an appt last week, failed 1 hour glucose so went back for 3 hour, and passed that one.
Any new symptoms or changes?: heartburn has kicked up another notch, otherwise nothing new.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: nothing this week
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Probably Nordstrom. That place gets too much of my money as it is, though.

jrun2013 With a majority of twins being born by 36 weeks and a higher risk for preterm labor it definitely makes sense to go on leave a lot sooner, but I think what's standard is different based on where you live. In general California and my work have pretty good disability/maternity leave policies. So when I had my daughter (completely normal, low risk pregnancy) I went on leave at 36 weeks, partially paid by CA and topped up by my work. Since disability is not taxable income, my take home pay was even a bit more than usual. And then at my work you are eligible for paid disability based on your years of service (it's generous to begin with though) and of course you have to have a legitimate reason to be on disability. My work even handles all the disability filing for me and my paychecks still come from them so it's a really easy process. With that in mind I think these policies just make it easier to take the time off of work since pay isn't a factor. So my doctor recommended 28 weeks and said that was her standard recommendation for twin pregnancies. We talked about whether or not I wanted to try to work longer, but it was a no brainer to me to just take the max time off that she would give me. I don't have a physically demanding job but no work stress and more rest can only be beneficial in terms of trying to get these babies to full term. I know twin moms (both at my work and others that live in my town) who went on leave sooner. But in the POMs group from TCF (now on facebook) it sounds like a majority worked a lot longer.

How far along are you?: 27w 4d
How big is baby?: Head of cauliflower according to baby center
Any upcoming appointments this week?: No
Any new symptoms or changes?: Failed my one hour test as I posted in randoms. Waiting for doctor to call me back because I want to skip the 3 hour. I also want her to add a 28 week growth scan now instead of waiting until 32, just because that's what we did last time.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I'm really effing irritated by how difficult it is to get in touch with my doctor. This is now the like third or fourth time I've had to call multiple times for an issue, and I hate that they don't give prompt call backs. It's really frustrating. I know they're a low-risk practice and I'm a high-risk pregnancy, but if you can't handle it, then fully transfer my care over to the MFM floor. GRR. I am cranky.
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? I'm torn between RH and Land of Nod. I really want to decorate all of the things.

How far along are you? 27w 1d
How big is baby? A Charlotte Royale Cake (which looks yummy! 🍰)
Any upcoming appointments this week? Yes Friday I have an appointment and my 1 hour glucose test! Any new symptoms or changes? Not too much! I realized my hands were swollen this week. I had to find YouTube videos to pry my rings off. Not fun!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I'm so excited bc DD and I are going see DH this weekend after 2 long months apart! Then when we come back I'll have to kick it into high gear with baby prep!
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Probably TJ Maxx, Homegoods, or Marshalls! I love shopping at those stores! And if I had to pick somewhere practical it would be Target!

Long time no see!
How far along are you?: 26w4d
How big is baby?: bowling pin
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Glucose tolerance test, some blood tests.
Any new symptoms or changes?: finally went to see a pelvic floor physiotherapist, I've been complaining about things since dd was born (Jan 2016). They say they will be able to help with SI pain as well. It's only when I'm changing positions after not moving for awhile, but its debilitatingly painful and stops me in my tracks.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?:
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Pretty much just did at a mattress store. Got a memory foam mattress with adjustable frame. It's going to make mat leave so comfortable to nurse from bed with my feet up while watching Netflix.

How far along are you? 25w 4d
How big is baby? Cauliflower/Nappa cabbage
Any upcoming appointments this week? I had one today, everything is good and the OBGYN gave me contact details for the physio that will be there at delivery. I need to go for my 2h glucose test this week or next.
Any new symptoms or changes? Just more movement and the occasional sciatica twinge. Also getting borderline with non maternity clothing.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: MIL has arrived for a 10 day visit, give me courage! Do you have online favourites for maternity clothing? I only have jeans and 2 dresses so far and I'm not sure I can get away with non maternity stuff for much longer.
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? A nice department store so I can get lots of varied stuff.

How far along are you?: 28,5
How big is baby?: 2lbs 10o according to his growth scan last week.
Any upcoming appointments this week?: No I did the gamut last week and all is well. Passed the glucose test with incredibly low numbers
Any new symptoms or changes?: I apparently need more iron, which is great b/c that means more constipation. Allergies are in full force, but thankfully the doc said flonase is cool.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Holy fuck this has been a rough week. We went to visit family and DD got a UTI. So I've had a sick clingy toddler with me for the past week. Totally broken sleep, and I'm just really emotionally sucked dry.
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Old Navy probably.

How far along are you?: 28 + 1
How big is baby?: baseball cap
Any upcoming appointments this week?: had one yesterday. Waiting on the glucose results, other news is below
Any new symptoms or changes?: Continued swelling, starving all the time, and a horrible pain in my back (rear left ribs) that worsens through the day and is awful when I finally go to bed at night.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: The blood vessel moved! No more vasa previa! According to yesterday's ultrasound both of my placentas are now on the posterior side. The smaller one is close to my cervix but not quite touching it, so we will check back in at 32 weeks - but as of right now, it does not look like I will need an early delivery or even a CS at all. I'm so relieved. In other news, the ultrasound yesterday was crazy - baby looks huge, and was blinking its eyes at us! The tech got pics of this straight-on and they are...kind of horrifying, actually. We'll keep displaying the cute profile pic on the fridge, thanks.
GTKY: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Allsaints. Give me all the leather jackets and all the oversize sweaters.
