Best of luck making it to the 2nd shot! How far along are you? I am 36w 3d by my dating ultrasound. My LMP has me 2 weeks further but I know ovulation was messed up/late from BF'ing. I know 36 and 3 isn't bad but I'm secretly hoping she is actually a little further along! Lurking from N17; my water broke at 36+3 with my DD and I didn't have her until 36+6. I did not get any steroid shots and she was perfectly healthy, no NICU time what so ever. Good luck!! |

bubblefan, adding to what cnf said: My DS was born at 36 + 0, no steroid shots and he did NICU time but he never needed breathing assistance and he came out crying. He was just a skinny minny and needed to gain weight. If it weren't for the IUGR I'm sure we would have avoided the NICU entirely.

Thank you all for the encouragment and I love the positive accounts!! I am still hanging in there on the pitocin and just got an epidural, so I'm thinking things might pick up. Last check was 50% and 3 cm maybe two hours ago, so it's been a slow day but I will not complain about that!

Baby bubble was born just after midnight last night, 18 inches and 6 lbs 5 oz. It was so much better (and faster) than DS's labor and delivery. She arrived screaming her head off and started breastfeeding right away. Does not look like any NICU time is needed but we'll stay 48 hrs instead of 24 to make sure she is feeding ok. Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts! 😘😘
