Willy's thread got me thinking of Christmas, so my turn for a holiday thread. You may have read earlier that I picked up a nice, used wooden dollhouse for the girls for Xmas, to be from Santa. Well, I was trying to think about what their individual gifts would be (we usually do one "big" gift got each from Santa, like a scooter, telescope, etc), but MH thinks the one combo gift is enough. Now, we don't go crazy with gifts. Usually one big Santa gift, simple stockings, and then something they want/need/wear/read from us. But part of me still thinks they each need their own gift from Santa. Am I crazy? Is the dollhouse enough? What are some ideas of individual/personal gifts for them? Maybe a homemade thing I could do? They will be 3.5 & 5.5 at Christmastime.

I personally agree that the one big gift is enough this time. You can do individual again next year.
If you really want something for each maybe new dolls for the dollhouse? Or matching winter pjs?

I do plan to make wooden dolls to go with since it didn't come with any. I didn't want to separate them, though, for fear of them fighting over whose was whose. And I usually do new jammies on Xmas Eve with a new book.

But also, the idea of making peg dolls that somewhat resemble R and A is daunting

But also, the idea of making peg dolls that somewhat resemble R and A is daunting I mean, slightly different sized (sanded down?) characters with the appropriate colored hair is really all I'm saying. Maybe painting a stylized favorite shirt or something on each.
