Farmer's market this morning. Then a friend with a 6m old is coming over at naptime to make nursery art for her daughter. I made her stenciled onesies before her daughter was born, and she loved them and her daughter is about to grow out of them, so she wants to put them on canvases for the walls! It makes me feel good about myself. I used to be a person who made art. Gah.

My H is going to a college football game today, he got season tickets for him and his dad this year so this is game 2 of I think 7 home games. My MIL is coming to hang out with me and the kids during the game, which saves me from another night of solo bedtimes.
Tomorrow we have no plans. Probably watch Irma on the weather channel all day. We have a ton of family and friends down there and most stayed to ride it out :/. It feels so fall-ish out! I have mixed feelings. 40s at night is a bit cool for me, at this point in the year. But cooler weather = Christmas is getting closer so that makes me happy.

J just threw his ipad at me and spilled an entire cup of coffee down my chest. All my clothes are upstairs in my room, where MH and baby are sleeping. Now I'm cold and wet. "Mommy! You were supposed to catch it and not spill coffee on you!"

I decided that 2/3 kids being sick gives me an excuse for not feeling bad about letting them lay on the couch and watch movies all day. DH had been debating whether or not to go to a disc golf tournament today and I told him to go because the last thing he needs is strep throat.
The doctor said that O would be ok to be around other people/no longer contagious after 24 hours of antibiotics, but he's already been on antibiotics for the last 10 days, so I'm not sure where we stand on that. C's rapid strep test came back negative, even though she is clearly sick, so they didn't give her any meds, and that makes me nervous that she's going to continue to be contagious if she actualy does have it. I am going to try to turn on a movie for the big kids in the living room but hang out in the bedroom myself so maybe E will be hanging on me all day and not the other kids who are sick.
Please tell DH I'm not outside playing with my goat all day.

J left town to visit his brother and mom, so it's me and M this weekend. At ballet class right now (wish I had remembered my book). Then farmer's market, library, maybe grocery store if we have the energy. After nap I've decided to take M to drop in daycare so I can get some stuff done around the house.
Tomorrow we'll go to church, then after lunch/nap we're meeting up with a friend of mine and her son (M's best bud) for some science museum fun. I'm hoping for a fun, productive, and chill weekend.

I woke up super early this AM, before my family. What a waste of a Saturday AM.
Hitting the grocery now; not sure what plans we have later. It's really nice so maybe we will take DS to the park.

It's beautiful out and R is currently skateboarding all up and down the street and it's so fun to watch. She's getting really good!

Cleaning/decluttering this morning plus a Children's Museum or library visit this afternoon. Plans are still up in the air for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary dinner tonight. They have a terrible marriage, and no one wants to celebrate except my selfish dad.
Then tomorrow after church, we are having L's 3rd birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. One of those things I said I'd never do before I was a parent but it's happening now LOL.

Piano class for D this morning. Then our city is offering a free household hazardous waste dump, so MH will take a bunch of stuff there. He's been changing his own oil on his motorcycle and we have bunches of mostly empty paint cans from our recent renovation. Then lots of nothing. Some laundry, some cleaning.

Working all weekend and keeping a close eye on Irma. The eye is supposed to pass right beside where my parents live, and they discovered that they don't have enough wood to cover all their windows, so I'm panicking a little. I'm going to lead a prayer group and communion at work tomorrow - I figure it can't hurt... Did up a budget for a coworker to try to focus on something else for a little bit. H and I are going grocery shopping after I get off work. It's the first week we'll be hitting up multiple stores to take advantage of sales and he's grumbling about it, but I know he's going to be happy when he sees how much we're saving.

Lazy morning at home and I went to Target myself and enjoyed a hot pumpkin spiced latte. R is going to the neighbor's 4th birthday party at 2. It's a "princess party" so she's getting to wear her Halloween costume early and I love how excited she was! *poof*

Oh, add microwave shopping to the list for me. I had to cook my pizza rolls in the toaster oven. It takes for-e-ver.

We ended up going to my nephews football game and then out to lunch with my BIL and their kids and MiL. It was the first time we went to a restaurant with the babies. It went better than I thought it would. This is encouraging. We still haven't taken both kids out to a restaurant.

We used to go out to eat SO much pre-kid. Now we almost never do. DS is actually not terrible in restaurants, but it's just not the same.

We went ice skating. It was gloriously empty. How fun! We have an indoor arena near us with open skate and I always think we should take advantage during the non-winter months..and never do.

We ended up at the ILs and MH's Aunt and cousin were visiting so we hung out all day and I got to hold his cousin's baby. He even fell asleep on me once and my heart melted a little and my ovaries couldn't handle it.

Friday night we went to a free outdoor movie sponsored by our local police department. They had free hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, games, etc. Except we had to leave before the movie actually started because R forgot how to act like a civilized human, even a 3 yo version of one. He started running around roaring in our neighbors faces, walking on other people's blankets etc.
Yesterday we went to an annual thing where they have lots of antique steam engines, tractors, etc. Both R1 and R2 love it.
Today is our local county fair. Some friends are meeting us there.
On a side note, I had to wear real shoes instead of flip flops yesterday and discovered that my feet must have grown during this pregnancy. Ouch. And now I need new shoes.

We're out of town visiting DH's family. Last night we went to the local harvest festival and binged on deep fried fair food. Then we stayed for the fireworks which blew B's mind. He loved it. We tried to get out to fireworks all summer but he could never make it that late.

Yesterday was S's 1st birthday party. It went really well. We had our friends bring a bounce house and all the kids loved it. This is the first time we invited more than family and it was a great decision. There were more people but we got to visit with friends and ignore the family drama (mostly just my MIL).
I'm working today. We are pretty sure we are selling our house and building so talking to a realtor and mortgage lady.

Today we skipped church and had a leisurely breakfast at home, then went to a new disc golf course by a lake about an hour from homep. After we got done we went to lunch and realized that we were all covered in tiny seed ticks. We couldn't get home fast enough after that. It took over an hour to pick them all off of everyone and I still feel so itchy!

Saturday morning I woke up early and went to the fabric store by myself and got a salted caramel mocha. It was pretty great. Then we went to go visit J's elderly cousin in the hospital and afterward went to a favorite restaurant in our old neighborhood since it was near the hospital. Peruvian roast chicken is sooooo good. Then we popped by the zoo for an hour and a half and visited all our favorite animals. I love having zoo passes for this exact reason.
Yesterday was my BFF's daughter's 4th birthday party, so we went to that. Nugget had a blast, it was a really nice party. She came home and took a long nap, and I worked on finishing up the felt doll I'm making, and then when she woke up I ordered takeout and went on a walk with her to go pick her up. She's been resisting being worn in a wrap recently, but apparently all I had to do was watch a wrapping tutorial video and she ran over to my rack of wraps and started saying "Ride! Baby ride!" and wanted to go up! After dinner, she wanted to go up again, and I couldn't turn down the opportunity, so we went on a nice long evening walk around the neighborhood and talked about all the trucks and dogs and flowers and airplanes we saw.
