He would have been quite a large baby for sure! I can't imagine how big he would have been had you carried him to 40wks. Isn't it something like a pound per week at this point?? Hello almost 10 pound baby 😳

He's so perfect!! Congrats! Any news on a nicu stay? I hope you can get some sleep, mama! They just came and told us he's got to go to the NICU. his breathing is shallow and he's really sleepy because of the magnesium, so they're going to put him on oxygen and IV nutrition. Same thing happened with DD, although she went straight to NICU from operating room because of her gestational age.

I go to the orchard for 2 hours and a baby is already here! Congrats mama, love the name. Hope the 24 mag is quick for you and you'll be seeing that baby again in no time. He seems like a good size for 36 weeks. It's understandable he's a little sleepy from the mag too so hopefully his NICU stay is short and you all will be back together again soon.

This whole event had practically been a repeat of DD's delivery, down to the same night nurse who cared for us last night, and delivering in the same OR room. And now the NICU.
It's been a little freaky.
DD was born at 6:13pm on 6/13 and DS was so close being born at 8:52am on 9/9. My dad was hoping he'd be born at 9:00am on 9/9.

Oh man well I'm sorry he's gotta go for now but sounds like he'll be right where he needs to be to get great care. And I'm glad you got some snuggles in first!!
I hope his stay is super short!!

It's a level 3 NICU, so he's definitely in excellent hands. They took such great care if DD, outs one of the biggest reasons we came back to this hospital despite the long commute.

Hugs and hopefully he recovers quickly! The more he eats and poops, it should help work out of his system and help prevent jaundice. I am sorry they won't let you see him though. :-( that's sad. But hopefully the time goes quickly. Mag made much of my time a drugged blur. So hopefully it will pass the same for you. Hugs!!

If today follows my 24 hour mag day after DD's delivery it should also pass in a drugged blur. Lol H is down there and he's sending me videos via the Marco Polo app. Baby has an oxygen tube in his nose, then another tube down his throat in to his belly to relieve the gas from the oxygen being pumped in to his body, then an IV with nutrition in his foot. H says he's ok though. He's in the right place to be monitored. I am a little sad about DD not being able to visit him. They don't let minors in the NICU here, so we need a new plan on how we want her to meet him.
