cakewench I think it depends on who's giving you the tdap. My H could barely move his arm after his and mine was totally fine. Both of us felt sick the day after the shot though. I'm not particularly looking forward to getting it again! Thanks for the heads-up. I'm not looking forward to two shots that day - not that I mind the shots themselves, but arm shots tend to hurt a little longer for me (unlike the fertility belly or butt shots that were pretty much fine), and since side sleeping is all I can do, having both arms sore won't be fun lol.

Passed my 1-hour glucose test, woot woot! I'm sure I mentioned it already here but this was my second time taking it this pregnancy, I'm so happy I passed both times! I had to do the 3-hour with my daughter and it was awful!

Realized this morning that my fat feet don't fit into any of my flats. Had to wear my Chucks and make an emergency run on my lunchbreak today. Thank god for Old Navy!

I got the call today that my bloodwork from last week showed I'm anemic. So now I get to add iron pills to the list.
Please send coffee so I can poop.

rooskie I've been on slow release iron supplements since early on. No problems going to the bathroom thankfully, hopefully it's not a problem for you!

FWP: my local cafe near work not only took my all time favorite salad that I get weekly off the menu starting today, and the cookie I got is stale probably from last week. Boo

I don't remember getting the tdap shot with either of my last pregnancies, but I am sure I did.... Need to ask about that. 1 hr glucose test today. With my first, I had to do the 3 hr and last I passed the 1 hr. Fingers crossed. I had low iron with my last, but it didn't bug me any. jrun2013 - I've made the move to flip flops 100% of the time. Even at work. They understand that its this or nothing so they are ok with it haha.

I failed my 1-hour. Official results haven't posted, but I brought my glucometer (I had GD last time) and I was at a 172. Last time for the 1-hour I was at 178. So, I'm waiting for my doctor to call me back, because I'd like to just skip the 3-hour and assume I have GD again. I felt like shit ALL day yesterday from the blood sugar roller coaster, and my sugars were off still after every meal. Which is REALLY frustrating because I was thinking I might not have it this time, since I had 2 small BK hash browns the week before and my sugars were totally in line, and I couldn't tolerate potatoes that well last time.
I just really don't want to waste another day of work and feeling like garbage to have the same results as last time.

officedronette I'm sorry lady! Hope that your doctor will respect your wishes. I felt horrible after the 3-hour when I was pregnant with my daughter too so I understand not wanting to take it when you feel certain about the results.

I took the 3 hour on Friday and felt like shit after, so I totally get wanting to skip it if you think you know the result. I took and passed the 3 hour with my son, so I had no choice but to take it again to see if I'd pass this time. I ranted to MH, co-workers, and anyone who would listen about what an obnoxious test it is. 🤢

I finally announced on Facebook, so the "world" knows. Eek!!
Ps I ended up doing a family picture with frames saying "2 miracles above us", "one miracle beside us" and "one miracle on the way", since we talked about this in the announcement thread ages ago.

Thanks, y'all. My doctor agreed I could skip the 3-hour. We then had issues because the soonest "education" visit she could schedule me for with the nurse was two weeks from now, which in my view, is completely unacceptable to leave my GD untreated for two weeks. (I could test at home if my supplies are refilled, which I asked them to be, but she didn't confirm that I would be doing so, which raised all of my alarm bells about her diligence.) I called the nurse at my MFM practice who *gasp* actually answered her own phone and talked to me! (I like that practice so much better than my OBs.) She was like yeah, you need to be watching your sugars immediately and call us immediately if you don't have it under control - one or two high readings are fine, but if you're consistently over threshold, we can't wait two weeks. So that was better.
I'm also frustrated with labcorp because they report the one-hour test as a fail (over 139) without giving the quantitative value. So if I hadn't tested with my own glucometer, I would have had no way of knowing what my levels actually were and how similar they were to last time.
So far most of my readings are ok, though on the higher end of the threshold. But I'm also still eating what I want to eat vs. what's more appropriate on the diet (i.e. limiting carbs). I'll have to adjust over time. But, it's good to know that hopefully I won't need to change my diet as drastically as I did the last time - just watch portions and try to sub in more veggies for carbs.

I've been up since 3:30 this morning! This pregnancy insomnia is starting to get really annoying. I feel fine now, but I imagine I'm going to crash this afternoon.
I also just filed my disability claim with work, so the ball is officially rolling toward maternity leave.
And I had my phone appointment for preterm labor prevention. Nothing really to report but she gave me instructions on where to go or who to call in case certain things happen (water breaking, active bleeding, etc), so that's all good to know.

So my OB finally emailed me on Friday about my glucose and other blood test results from the previous Friday. I had seen the results online but glucose was the only one I understood. I knew my numbers were low on a few things but didn't know what they meant. Apparently I'm anemic. That's with taking iron in my prenatals and additional iron supplements. WTF. My numbers were just slightly under so I guess we're going to talk about it at my appointment on Wednesday. I'm hoping this doesn't mean I have to take more pills. 6 pills a day, not counting whatever I take that day for reflux, is hard to do as it is!

Just got back from the doctor - everything is great, but I feel like a stuck pig! Blood draw, Rhogam shot, TDAP vaccine, and flu shot, all in one visit. (Amazingly, the nurse said I was her 3rd or 4th patient today with that exact same shot line up...) I decided we earned a pumpkin donut as a reward

So add me to the passed glucose test but anemic club. Yay to iron pills and a stool softener. Also had my DTAP last appointment but flu shot next week. Today I had some brown spotting which made me nervous. I talked with my nurse who said not to worry but I spotted all first trimester so I really shouldn't be surprised. She told me I need to keep it easy just in case which is hilarious with a 3.5 year old and 14 8-9 year olds. My H basically told me to do as little as possible so I am currently sitting on the couch with my feet up. I guess I'll keep him after all.

Also, a pumpkin donut sounds amazing right now. The local donut shop has pumpkin finally. They updated their signs and I gasped so loud when I saw it that H almost wrecked the car. Pumpkin donuts are serious business.
