One of my coworkers told me that they were planning a surprise shower for me, but she wanted my input so decided not to have it be a surprise anymore. I told her we really didn't need anything and we cloth diaper so don't even need any diapers, but she kept pressing. Like I mentioned before, at our work they just do like a 1/2 hour thing with cake and soda in our conference room. Especially since I'm newer to this group I don't imagine anyone will go out and get me any gifts aside from the girl planning it. It will be nice though since it's my last day before leave and they'll probably just tell me I can go home afterwards. My boss won't even be here since he'll be on vacation.

tatorhead328 I'm not big on showers for second kids, but I actually think twins are a completely legitimate reason to have another shower. Luckily we did have 2 sets of a few things since we'd keep one at our house and one at my mom's house, but I've still had to buy quite a few new big items. Mostly I don't want a shower because we can't have an event without inviting a million of H's relatives and being the center of attention of a big party is just too much for me right now. I have a very small extended family (no aunts or grandparents) so it's a big imbalance and even 10 years later I still feel awkward making small talk with all of H's aunts, great aunts, 2nd and 3rd cousins, etc. That's what I get for marrying into a big Italian family though!

2nd here too, so I wasn't planning on a shower. My church has talked me into a sprinkle since we're having a boy this time around. Will be super low key (a potluck after church one Sunday) and just an open invite for whoever wants to stay for it. All we really need are clothes and diapers, we have most everything else from our DD.
