It's DD's birthday today!!! I cannot believe she is two! DH and I blew up 70 balloons last night and sneaked them into her room. She LOVED it this morning!
In other news, I had a splitting headache that kept me awake most of the night until I took Tylenol at 3AM. I took my blood pressure this morning jut to check and it's elevated (usually it's super low but this morning it was 136/85). I'm going to be keeping an eye on it today. If memory serves correctly, something similar happened when I was pregnant with DD.

Happy Birthday to your daughter chitownsully ! 70 balloons sounds awesome! Also, I hope your BP settles down. AFM, I'm grumpy. DH is annoying me even though he isn't doing anything wrong. Poor guy. Physically, I'm feeling pretty good so IDK why I'm so grumpy. I need to snap out of it but I've been like this almost all week. :/ I've been lurking the Sept board. I have two friends from my other BMB there (one had RCS yesterday and another is being induced today) and there is so much baby stuff going on there. Guys, WE ARE NEXT!

My plan was to check in yesterday but DDs therapists called and wanted to move her reevaluation appointment to that afternoon. I wouldn't have to take any days off from work (yea!!!!!) so we went ahead and did it. Se did awesome - so awesome she probably won't qualify for services anymore! We had 8 words a year ago - now she won't stop talking. We still have a ways to go with articulation but I'm pleased with how far we've come.
I'm at a training today for a program called Starlab. It's basically an inflatable planetarium that visits elementary schools. I'll be helping run the program when they visit our school this spring. Im pretty sure the dark planitarium and drone of the fan are going to put me to sleep this afternoon though.

I'm hungry and my ear is still ringing. Thankfully I'm at the OB now and have already asked about it. No idea if the doc can help me, but I figure it's a good place to start.
Oh, and I'm kind of crabby today. Good news, no one for me to take it out on lol. So I will just sit here in my grumpiness. Maybe food will help.

Hello!
My MFM asked me to send my BP readings from last night and this morning. They're high, but steady, so she wants me to increase my AM and PM doses and have blood work done again at my NST tomorrow.
I'm still waiting to hear from the OB to confirm my c-section date, so hopefully they'll reach out today. I have an appointment with them tomorrow, so if not, I'll make sure it's booked before leaving there.

My FIL is in the hospital and MIL (who usually watches DD) stayed with him last night. So I took a personal day so I could watch DD. I'm using it as our last mommy and me date before baby brother gets here and we've had the best day so far. Breakfast, lunch date, indoor play place at CFA, then hit another park on the way home. She's currently napping and I'm probably not far behind her.

chitownsully Happy birthday to your DD! danvers That sounds like a really cool program for the kids. thatgirlrachel Hope your FIL's hospital stay is short. Sounds like you had a good day together! DD kept me busy yesterday and she was teething plus the full moon = a crazy toddler. Today I was supposed to clean but ended up doing some organizing, took a quick nap and got my eyebrows waxed. I am now trying to figure out what to make for dinner, I'm not feeling very inspired these days and have already made spaghetti and tacos.

I'm definitely in full on nesting mode. I cleaned DD's snack/food cabinet, spent 2 hours doing stain removal of spit up stains on DD1's old clothes, multiple loads of laundry, cleaning our bedroom, packing the hospital bag, organizing my nursing clothes. I'm starting to loose steam but I got a lot done. It's making me feel slightly less anxious about baby arriving.

It's still so hard to tell what Irma is going to do in relation to us. But I was able to get in and out of the grocery store this morning with plenty of water and food. I was also able to get gas. I think we'll decide tomorrow or maybe early Saturday whether to stay or go.
The schools have closed tomorrow through Tuesday, so that means daycare is closed those days too. I get to keep DS here tomorrow, yay (sigh). Hopefully he'll behave so I can get some work done.

Oh and it doesn't help that I'll be 36w on Monday, making it harder to decide what to do.
We lost power for two days during Matthew last year, but since it was October we could leave the windows open and it wasn't too hot. I don't know about this time, though.

My parents picked up DS today so I came over and cooked for them and H came to eat after work. Now I'm stuffed and H left to go home while my mom offered to bathe DS before we leave. Fine by me! One less thing to do.
My mom was going to make a pumpkin cake but forgot to grab pumpkin at the store. I'm a little disappointed because it sounds really good right now.

Would shank someone for pumpkin cake right now. ETA: I realize that sounds pretty violent, but I've hit a wall with the GD diet and now I just want all the carbs.

I'm really fucking tired of people at work asking me when I'm working til. Like, I've already discussed this with the relevant people in my department and my manager, Jane from accounting, why do you care?
AND in the bathroom today, i walked in with another woman and WHILE PEEING she asked me how much weight I gained.
Wtf.

People talking to you while using the restroom is the worst. Inappropriate time and question. What is wrong with people.

Present! Barely. I felt the telltale tingle of a sore throat about 24 hours ago, and sure enough it got worse overnight and I've got a cold. DD was up at the crack of dawn and I was solo for the first few hours, but mercifully MH took over and I got to rest a little. I think my last cold took 3 weeks to fully get over, which is... pretty much all the time I have left in this pregnancy. I'm really hoping that trying to nip it in the bud will lessen its duration. Welcoming any and all pregnancy-safe cold tips! I'm all in on the neti pot/salt water gargle/hot tea with honey cycle, and I know the doctor will just say "rest and fluids", but maybe I'm missing something.

Oof seventythree I hope you start feeling better. My OB ok'd Sudafed for me when I had a nasty cold a few months ago. That and lots of fluids helped a little I remember :/
