With birthdays and Christmas coming up, I went to the book store to find 5-6 books for the occasions for B. The 3-5 yo section of books was overwhelming!
Share with the class, what books are your N13er is loving lately.

Cadence loves all of the Peppa books, especially when they correlate to episodes she has seen. Llama Llama and the Bully Goat is a favorite. We both like this one: and this is one she asks for practically every storytime:

We get two books every month from service called BookRoo. The choices are always really good. It was a present for Josie's second birthday, so we're rounding on two years now and we've had maybe 5 to 7 duds over all. They all come beautifully wrapped, too. Favorites from there include Wolfie the Bunny (great illustrations), Land Shark, and The Worst Princess.
Perennial favorites here include: Madeline, In the Night Kitchen, and my personal favorite for all curious kids – Ada Twist Scientist.

I'm a big Little Golden Books fan. I go to half price books looking for older ones.

Not a book, but her absolute favorite is a story she and I made up about a little girl named Cadence and a dragon who throws rocks at her window looking for crocodiles.

We have a Paw Patrol one and he only had minor interest. I will likely get him another for Christmas to try out though.

Fortunately Colin got over his July obsession: The Polar Express. We were easily reading it twice a day and I was barely holding onto my sanity.
Colin loves Old MacDonald Had a Truck and Goodnight Hockey. This week he's also very into Eric Carle books, mostly I think because he recognized the same name (letters, really) on all of them.
