Age: 7 months on Sunday Milestones: He's so close to crawling and sitting up. Challenges: Napping. The kid will not take a solid nap at home. He will at DC in the swing, but at home... no go. I think he's too distracted/busy with his sister (4YO DD) around. Funny/cute stories: He 'sings' all the time. Whenever I say anything he answers with coos. Now he answers with "Oooo!" and his little eyebrows go way up, like he's excited. So precious How are you? Okay. Tired. Anything else? Just ready for summer to be over. And we're watching Irma closely. FX it doesn't come too close to us. We've got about a week before that may happen, but some projections show it coming very near to our area, which could be bad news. QOTW: Nope. Just hung out and got some chores done around the house.

Age: 16 days
Milestones: she got her first bottlefeeding on Wednesday (has been fingerfed and on the boob the first 2 weeks)
Challenges: breastfeeding.. getting her to sleep in her bassinet instead of with one of us.
Funny/cute stories: she is just adorably cute. We love her milk mouth and coma after feeding.
How are you? Exhausted. Been doing okay so far but tonight (it is 4.30am here atm) I am really struggling with the sleep deprivation. I hope she will fall asleep in her bassinet after feeding so ai can sleep some as well.
Anything else? Had anyone ever told me how rough this newborn phase was and how challenging BFing could be I may never have been so adamant about wanting to BF. I am close to tossing in the towel at times but remember myself that if I was to quit it has to be for the right reasons. And then when I look down at the baby drinking on my chest I know I don't rrally want to quit.. it just is rough....!
QOTW: Did you do anything for the holiday weekend?
Not a holiday weekend here! 😊

muscari The first 2-3 weeks of BFing were ridiculously hard. After that, it got so much easier both times for me. I was ready to give up with both boys because I was so tired and frustrated, but we got past the first few weeks and then it was so easy and convenient.

muscari - BF is hard. I struggled the entire time I BF DD. We made it to our goal, and a little further, but it was NOT what I expected. The beginning is typically the hardest. Give yourself some times and then decide how you want to proceed. Your feelings are important, too {{hugs}}
