It's still there on his legs and arms but the ones on his stomach look less red. So I'm hoping they are going to disappear soon. I noticed the ones on the back of his legs are gone also. Thank you for asking!

We slept in too waitwhat! I'm on the daycare hunt. It's looking like I have a few options. I won't be able to work as much as I need to, which is gonna fuck with our finances, so I'll have to try to make up for that when DH is home. So I'm still 100% freaking out, but it's not hopeless.

This morning has been madness. Working from home is NOT like it used to be lol. C was up at 6 for a bottle then started getting sleepy pretty quick. He fell back asleep at 7:30. I had a conference call at 8 but decided to try to take a quick shower and blow dry my hair. I was also trying to make my coffee and throw a load of laundry in all before the meeting started and/or C woke up. Luckily the meeting started late anyway.
Things are finally settling down now. I have nothing else on my calendar. C is playing in his jail and I'm enjoying my coffee and picking out C's birthday invitations on Etsy.

I'm supposed to be working remotely today out of my parents' condo but the internet is awful here so I will probably end up at a cafe (not my fave). Or, I could drive the hour back to my ILs' house and work there instead. Either way, it's already 9:30 and I'm not getting started on my work for a minimum of another hour. Ugh.

I'm at work. Due to the hurricane we're sort of on hold. We need to speak to all of our clients to see how they want us to handle collection efforts. No one wants a lawsuit on their home when it just flooded but it's kind of our job so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

today Monty has OT and speech. After speech I will be painting my grandpa's door. I finished Monty's invites yesterday. Half are going out today. The other half will go out after I get stamps. His party is 5 weeks away. What? How is he almost one?
Lately I've been really struggling with how far behind he is. He's almost 11 months. He just started some babbling, but still mostly coos. He it's doing great on the sitting up but it's still only about 30 seconds if nothing is touching him. He won't clap or bang toys. He is really far from crawling and standing. Even compared to our friends with DS he's behind. Then his surgery and subsequent recovery is going to make it worse. On top of it all his breathing and eating are going backwards again. Realistically I think it's just a,small slide because he has been battling a sinus infection (yay small nasal passages). I wish I could just see how far he's come without seeing the gaps. He's doing so well really. It's just hard to be passed and I really really thought we might be rid of the tube by 1 but we aren't even close.

Hi! Still off work this week, but just got off a 1.5hr call with work. Trying to answer some emails so I don't come back to a shit show in two weeks! So far so good. I'll have to just put in a few hours here and there until I'm back. Stupid adulting!
The kids are at daycare and H just went to work so I have a quiet house all to myself! Not sure what to do with myself right now!

Well, it's 11 a.m. and I still haven't started working yet. I finally managed to escape my parents and children, and drove out to try to find this coffee house that got great reviews nearby. Except it wasn't really nearby, and I got kind of lost, and also it wasn't fucking open.
So, I turned around and drove some more and found a Panera. I walked in at 10:41 and they wouldn't serve me breakfast because it ended at 10:30. So I just got a smoothie and coffee. Sat down, got on the wifi, and now I'm told I am limited to 30 minutes from a non-wireless device between 11 and 2 because it's peak hours. Nvm that there are literally 5 other people here that I can see. So, now I need to leave and try to find yet another place.
So much #FWP, I know, but I shouldn't have to work this hard just to work.

sarahwithanh have you gone back and reread your old threads lately? I can only imagine how hard it is to be let down by perceived lack of progress, but seriously, Monty has come soooooo far. Go back and read them. Then feel good about where he is. Not where he is compared to other kids, but to himself. It blows me away how much time he has spent in the hospital in his life and how much he is now thriving. You can absolutely vent and feel down some days, but don't forget the good things. Hugs!

danib I'm sooo happy to hear that you may have some alternative options!! I really hope this works out for you. I hadn't commented in the other thread yet, but is there any option for some split coverage between MIL and your mom, your sibling (sister I think?), another families' nanny?

AFM, just sitting here stressing over my dad. He had an "episode" the other day where my mom found him slumped over his steering wheel drenched in sweat. He came to and said he had felt awful before he must have passed out. But the stubborn jerk wouldn't go to the hospital or the doctor and he doesn't take my mom's suggestions, like, ever. After my mom wouldn't give in, he finally schedule a doctor appointment for this afternoon. Given his smoking history, it's very likely it was a heart attack and they'll refer him for bloodwork and other tests. I really hope there are treatments available and this kicks his ass into quitting smoking once and for all. And this is when I hate living away from home.

We were only needing weekends from MIL, and she lives an hour and a half away (so the kids would have been sleeping over) so even if my family COULD do it, the logistics of splitting up the time just doesn't work. But my mom is a nurse and also works shift/weekends so she can't (MIL is retired), and my sisters all have their own kids, except for my youngest sister who is not mature enough (by her own admission) - so I could use them for an occasional emergency situation but definitely not regular care.

How scary hangry, hopefully he gets in and gets all the tests needed. Smoking is such a terrible addiction.

OMG hangry that is terrifying. I hope he is ok and starts to accept the help from doctors soon. I know my dad will be the same way if and when he faces any issues. He is so anti-medicine.

hangry That's so scary! My mother told my sister & me a story about my dad having an issue with not knowing what the month was. LSS, I told her it sounded like he had a stroke. After all of his doctor appointments for his recent surgery, it turns out he did have a stroke. So crazy. I hope they can figure out what caused his episode soon.
