How far along are you?: 25w4d
How big is baby?: Rutabega (WTE) / Baseball glove (Ovia) - I feel these are two wildly different things...
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Not until 9/21.
Any new symptoms or changes?: Nothing much this week - the reflux is still getting me. I may switch to Zantac soon instead of occasional Tums. (Or whatever is on my doctor's recommended list, can't remember off the top of my head.)
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Passed my glucose test! Yay! Apparently my iron level is low, though, so I have to start taking a supplement. Also, the great purge of miscellaneous crap to make room for all the baby-related miscellaneous crap is starting. There's only 14 weeks left, technically at the 100 day mark according to the countdown, and that's making me worry we haven't done enough yet. But we have a plan for it, at least, so that's better. I need to schedule a birthing class as well.
GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.) - I've been told I need to watch The Crown on Netflix. I'm trying to get through Season 2 of Poldark now, but looking for shows to add to my list (especially once feedings roll around). If I could recommend any show, it would definitely be iZombie. First three seasons are on Netflix.

How far along are you?: 25w3d
How big is baby?: cauliflower?
Any upcoming appointments this week?: nope
Any new symptoms or changes?: nothing really new
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I had a minor freak out realizing that we are 3 months out from having this baby if we decide on a RCS since it will likely be 38.5 weeks again. Must start preparing for another human!
GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.) we are behind and binge GoT from the library, so we need to do season 6.

How far along are you?: 24 weeks How big is baby?: Per Ovia 13" long and 1.5lbs each. But probably just a little bigger based on our growth scan last week. Any upcoming appointments this week?: Check up tomorrow Any new symptoms or changes?: Same old reflux and belly getting bigger Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: We bought this chandelier for the girls' room I can't wait to be done with our Master bed/bath reno so that we can get back in there and then start setting up their room (which we're staying in right now) GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.) We've been watching Shameless pretty much every day. We're in season 6 and I'm going to be bummed when we get through it all!

How far along are you? 26w 1d
How big is baby? A boule de pain (a rustic round loaf of bread 🥖)
Any upcoming appointments this week? Not until next Friday!
Any new symptoms or changes? Definitely starting to notice when this baby is awake and when she's asleep by her movements! Other than that just feeling rounder and rounder by the day! 😊
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: started classes yesterday and it's definitely going to be a crazy semester. Looking at the syllabus and writing all the assignments in my planner was so eye opening. I need to start getting ready for this child! Finals are due the day before my due date! 😱
GTKY: what's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.) I'm a Grey's fan and will randomly start watching that from the beginning every once in awhile or The Office. Right now I'm watching One Tree Hill and it is soooo long but I'm almost done. I really only watch it at night before I fall asleep bc toddler so it has taken me forever.

How far along are you?: 27w 1d (I think. 😂 I'm loosing track. Where's rooskie? I know I'm only a few days behind her) How big is baby?: A head of cauliflower Any upcoming appointments this week?: None this week. Back again on the 15th for my glucose test. Any new symptoms or changes?: Acid reflux is probably everyday now. I should probably just take the Zantac daily and save myself some grief. Also, I noticed I've been having more leg cramps at night. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Not really. N went to his first day of preschool today. He is only going two mornings a week for 1/2 a day, but he didn't want anything to do with it before he went. I'm happy to report he had a great day. I wasn't worried but he is so shy and transitions are difficult for him. He was sad at drop off but he did wonderful while there. GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.) I don't watch that much, but I do notice when the Harry Potter movies are on I often watch them.

How far along are you?: 27+4. How big is baby?: Fennec Fox. I got you sarahandben108. Any upcoming appointments this week?: glucose test Friday and a routine exam in the middle. What flavor should I pick? Any new symptoms or changes?: my legs are starting to swell so that's fun. And constipation. And acid reflux. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: my church is finally talking about planning a baby shower. They literally hold them for people who go to church's grandkids that don't go there anymore. I might have been a little butt hurt that they waited this long to say anything. But then again the old ladies keep telling me that I'm finally starting to look pregnant. *end rant* GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.). We watch a lot of Law and Order SVU and things that are on Masterpiece Classics.

How big is baby?: an eggplant
Any upcoming appointments this week?: I had one today and it went well! I got the order for my glucose test so I have to do that soon.
Any new symptoms or changes?: when I go pee I never seem to get everything out and have to go again right away. So annoying.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: not really.
GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.). I'm into the show Younger right now. I also saw that season 2 of the crown will be coming out in December. Perfect timing!

How far along are you?: 24w4d How big is baby?: an eggplant Any upcoming appointments this week? Nothing until next week. Any new symptoms or changes?: jrun2013 - I have the same problem with peeing every other time I go. Keep feeling more kicks / movements every time I eat and my bump seems to grow a bit every day. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: not really. GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.). I could happily rewatch Will and Grace (really excited for the new episodes) and How I Met Your Mother. I watch Bones a couple of series behind and also will catch up with Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead and Homeland on Netflix. Also just started Designates Survivor, liking it a lot so far!

How far along are you?: 27 + 1
How big is baby?: Cauliflower
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Next week for ultrasound and glucose check
Any new symptoms or changes?: SO MANY braxton hicks. Sunday into Monday I was having them nonstop - like 8 an hour. They were very brief (10 second-ish) and I had no spotting or anything so I tried chugging water and resting to wait it out, but I was scared. Had plans to go to L&D yesterday morning but luckily they backed off.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I'm wearing a super clingy dress today and for the first time someone got up on the L and gave me their seat. I've arrived!
GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.) I re-watch Gilmore Girls and Law & Order SVU obsessively. Like multiple episodes a day, in the background while I'm cooking, ironing, etc.

How far along are you?: 27 w 5 d
How big is baby?: Somewhere between a cauliflower and a large eggplant.
Any upcoming appointments this week?: I had one yesterday. Everything sounded/ measured fine, and I'm waiting on results of my glucose test. I failed the 1 hr last time so I don't have high hopes.
Any new symptoms or changes?: Nope
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: We were at my in-laws' over the holiday weekend and MIL was eating all the crackers for me. She keeps talking about how little weight she gained when she was pregnant and how her babies were "so tiny." Yes, MIL, chain smoking while pregnant will limit a person's weight gain and cause low birth weight. Maybe not something to brag about! 🙄
GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.) I've been streaming gossip girl lately. It's ridiculous but I like the break from reality.

typo31 I lol'd at you arriving. That sounds like a true hallmark of late pregnancy. I'm glad your Braxton Hicks calmed down. BlahBlahGinger your MIL ate crackers for me just reading that. The last thing I want to hear right now is how little weight someone gained.

Any new symptoms or changes?: Not really. Acid reflux daily but Zantac helps.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: This pregnancy is contuining to fly by and I need to get my ass in gear! Also, since August we have been saving the additional daycare cost it will be to have 2 and holy shit... it's so much money! My checking account looks depressed but my savings account is like HOLLA. lol I am trying to get a budget under control, meal plan, etc to set us up for success but shit is hard.
GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? (Old favorites, stuff to watch, etc.) Right now we're watching Ozark. Gilmore Girls was my fave last pregnancy and I watched all of the seasons from my bed. haha.

Vegan that is a good idea, and depressing! It's pretty crazy. It's going to be double our mortgage to have both kids in childcare! Yeah our daycare will be well over double our mortgage with two in DC! I'm trying to wrap my head around how it will work. With DD, we were lucky enough to have ILs help EO Friday and half day Thurs, when we did a nanny, to keep the hours down. Now I don't think we can rely of them for two kids, so nanny price for the first 6+ months is going to be way more this time around.

Pretending we have to pay it now though is really helping with my anxiety about it. #1 I won't be blindsided when I am going back to work and having all of the emoshuns anyways, #2 We have a few months to make adjustments to our current spending habits to make it work, and #3 I keep looking at it like it's a cushion so that when I do go back to work if we feel like we're drowning we will have had 8 months worth saved and can pull from there as needed. Apparently I am a control freak and this "control" feels wonderful. Highly recommend. And the nice thing is if something happens tomorrow we still HAVE the money, it's just in a different account.

I had someone yesterday say to me I must be due soon. I'm like no, I have about 3 months left to go. She tried to recover and said I looked good. Thanks, thanks a lot. The idea of two in daycare and paying for N to be in preschool two mornings a week is making me twitchy. But I actually know that I am pretty lucky because my daycare provider is really affordable. Also, add me to the camp of having nothing done for this baby. The bedroom we are using for him is still our guest room and we will need it for the first week in October. We won't be able to do anything with it until after that because we need it. That means we will be crazy busy between October and November. On the other hand, I have gotten a TON of Christmas shopping done.

How far along are you?: 28 wks How big is baby?: I had a growth scan yesterday so I know he's 2lbs 10oz. So he's really growing! He's totally going to be bigger than DD.
Any upcoming appointments this week?: I had a growth scan, my glucose test, and an OB appointment yesterday. I passed glucose with flying colors and baby looks great.
Any new symptoms or changes?: Restless legs are getting worse and it's getting progressively harder to stretch.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Just feeling large and sliding into the uncomfortable zone.
GTKY: What's on your binge-watching list? I actually have a long list going for ML since I have no time to binge with a 2 year old. The most recent seasons of: OitB, Transparent, Shameless, Jane the Virgin, iZombie, Downton Abby, Call the Midwife, and Catastrophe.

sarahandben108 - same here. My brother, SIL, and nephew will be staying with us when they are in town for the baby shower, so we won't be able to do anything until October either. Then it will be a mad furniture-building scramble, lol. Then again my birthing class isn't going to be until 11/9 (since that's the only available date H can make), so I guess yay for cutting it close?!

Yesterday's appointments were extremely obnoxious. Apparently the person who called and left me a message that I had an appointment with the nurse after my OB appointment didn't actually make the appointment. So after an already long OB appointment I sat around forever while (unbeknownst to me) they were trying to figure out what happened and how to squeeze me in. Had they actually come to me and told me what was going on I would have just rescheduled for a different day. I was seriously there for 2 hours and only spent maybe 10 minutes with my OB and 15 with the nurse.
Anyways, I'm on limited activity. Like, only take shopping trips if necessary. And when you get home you can bring in bags of refrigerated food and then lay down for 20 minutes before getting the rest. No more than 2 loads of laundry a day. No sexual activity. Etc. I'm supposed to lay down for an hour every day to feel for contractions and log it to talk to them about it during my once a week phone appointments. It feels really extra at this point since I haven't had any contractions, my cervix is long and closed, the babies are growing really well and at the same pace, and overall I generally feel good. But it's just standard process for twin pregnancies. I figure I'll mostly just continue as I have been, if I feel exhausted then I'll relax and have some water. The nurse wasn't sure if I could continue spin classes or do prenatal yoga so I have to email my doctor to see what she says, but I feel like those are pretty low impact and I only have a few more spin classes until I go on leave(they're at work) so it should be fine as long as I feel up to it. I don't know if I'm being too blasé about it all, but with how well the babies are doing I really feel like I'm going to go past 36 weeks and would like to keep moving along like normal if possible.

Wow belle0720! First, what a pain about the appointment. Second, I'm surprised they have restricted your activities so soon. I had a friend who had twins and she was able to do much of what she was already doing to pretty close to the end. No bed rest or anything like that and she was dealing with twin-to-Twin blood transfer too. I'm sure it must be annoying since physically everything seems fine but I suppose it's better to be too cautious than not enough.

sarahandben108 Interesting! I'm going to ask in the POM group if other people were put on limited activity this early without having any complications. I mean the babies' growth is good, my cervix is good, blood pressure is good, no swelling, no contractions or anything, so it does seem extra cautious. But she just kept saying it's to prevent having to go on bed rest.

This is so weird, I asked in the POMs group and so far no one else was put on limited activity this early. I think I'm going to continue to listen to my body and just take it easy if I feel like I'm doing too much.
