So we went to dinner with friends last night. It felt great to get out and feel like normal human beings! I had an axing ahi tuna bowl and a refreshing wheat beer. I'm not even bitter that the kids slept like crap and were up super early!
And today we're going to a charity walk with another family. Hoping for sunshine.

Took the kids to my in laws. M & I swam and then we ate dinner. MIL took care of H & my FIL kept my wine glass full. Both are very important jobs. You must spoil these people handsomely come birthday and xmas time, you know, the gift that keeps on giving and all.

We had the worst night ever last night. H has a cold and is so congested and his nose is stuffy and runny. I swear I spent the entire night trying to keep him asleep. Poor kid is miserable so I can't be mad at him, but I MAY have gotten around 3 hours of broken sleep last night.

hangry sounds like a lot of fun! danib I'm so sorry for the awful night D was up at 5. I think the issue is that the area we have her Pack and Play in has a window with no shade so the light wakes her. Then DS, who is usually a late sleeper, was up at 6 because he fell out of the twin bed. Not a long fall at all, and onto carpet; he didn't even cry but obviously didn't go back to sleep either. I'm ready to go home.

I asked H to take care of C this morning so I can try to sleep in for the first time in forever. C was up multiple times overnight making noise because he's gotten to the point of flinging his pacifier across the crib and he still doesn't roll over to get it himself. He was up at 6 and H did take care of him and played with him then tried to put him down for his first nap around 7. C hasn't stopped babbling and play screaming. So I'm up. And H went back to bed....

vino good to see you! Can't wait to hear stories! hangry sounds like you had a fun time! dashook remind me, are you at the cape? danib passing all the coffee to you. We had a terrible night. So, I had mentioned we left the monitor cord at my FIL so I am only able to use one so I just left it on J the entire time. Well J was up every hour and a half I'd say. Every time he started crying MOTN, he would be on all fours in his crib rocking and getting frustrated he couldn't go anywhere. So I think he must be leaping or something and crawling might be in the near future. I'm not ready. Edited clarity

goldenlove How many pacis do you leave in the crib? M used to have 6-8 in there so she could usually find one on her own.

Add me to the crappy night club. H has gas & is still constipated. Maybe I need to try another formula again.

Does C usually go down for a nap so soon after getting up goldenlove or was your H just trying to scheme his way back to bed? He has always done it. Sometimes it's a little longer. I don't know how to break him of it especially when he falls asleep in the car on the way to my mom or MILs house during the week. He is always ready to pass out as we're getting ready to leave in the morning.

Not much you can do about him passing out during the car ride, but on weekends?

Sorry for all the bad nights everyone.
H is still working today, but gets off at 4 so I can go work at a fundraiser for the non profit I'm on. We're selling pull tabs at a festival and my shift is 7-11. I'm working with a good friend so I'm excited to get out of the house, talk, even drink beer, but both of us are like, how are we going to stay awake past 9? I need to figure out pumping in there sometime too. H is putting both kids to bed and this has never happened before, so we shall see how he does. It's laughable the number of times he's watched both kids alone!

It's probably time for breakfast anyway.

DS used to drop his binkies out of his crib even with the mesh bumpers (or they'd get stuck in it) but the sides of the PNP kept them in.

We have a Memorial Day party today. Last night I thought I should throw some tanner on so that I don't blind everyone with my pale AF skin. It didn't show up anywhere but my feet. Loafers go with a bikini, right?

Don't say this!!! I still haven't thought of a good plan to keep the dog toys out of her mouth! She's thisclose to being a crawler. I wish independent sitting was a longer phase. Plopping her down with toys scattered around her has guaranteed me hot coffee every day this week.
