Achievements: after my crazy weekend, I have the house back clean and on schedule. Whooo hooo!
Challenges: because of Labor Day all of our normal stuff got pushed down a day. It's not fun.
Plans for the week? Today I'm having a girls night with a friend. Tuesday Therapy and gym. Wednesday gym and I'm picking my sister up from her hair appointment and then later taking her to dance, Thursday play date and then dinner with MIL, I feel like I have something on Friday but I can't remember what it is.
How are YOU doing? I'm feeling a little overwhelmed and tired.
Q's/Vent? DS1 has been having bad attitude problems of late. I feel like pulling my hair out.
QOTW- is anyone interested in a different sort of check in or wanting to start one? Don't feel like you have to wait for me! I sorta accidentally ended up doing these lol!

Achievements: DD's speech teacher told me that in May she was being understood about 52%. When she retested her last week she jumped to 70%!
Challenges: Anything that has to do with food...we're not getting along very well these days.
Plans for the week? Today DH has the day off, so we are going to eat lunch with friends and see their new house. Tomorrow DD has a dentist appointment. Wed I'm having my first prenatal appointment & dating u/s. Friday DD has speech.
How are YOU doing? I can't wait for 1st tri to be over.
Q's/Vent?
QOTW- is anyone interested in a different sort of check in or wanting to start one? Not really...I'm having a hard time keeping up lately!

Achievements: Surviving. That's really about it.
Challenges: Getting through the hurricane. Holding it together for my kids. We were lucky to not have enough any damage to our property, but it's been an emotional week and a half for so many reasons. And, as always, the budget.
Plans for the week? Get back to normal as much as possible. I start work on Thursday, so FX that goes well. H will be traveling abroad next week, so I'll need extra patience to get through that. Hoping to get back on the workout wagon too.
How are YOU doing? Like I said, the hurricane was tough on me. I was fine during the worst of it, just stir-crazy, but once the water was out of our neighborhood, it was like I could finally fall apart. Ever since the roads were passable, H has been busy with clean up and homework. Each day with sunshine helps though. A few more days of routine will have me back to normal.
Q's/Vent? I am so over cooking every night. It's important to me that our meals be decently healthy, and I cook from scratch as much as possible, but I need more ideas for things that don't take an hour to make. What are your quick go-tos?

auri That's great that her understandability went up that much! My ob always told me to eat whatever sounds good in the first trip, whether that's broccoli or Cheetos or a milkshake.

auri that's great news about her speech. DS2 is between 40-50% so that is so amazing! I hope you start feeling better soon. jnetx I'm so sorry. That's so incredibly difficult. I hope it gets back to a semblance of normalcy for you soon.

Achievements: just chugging along
Challenges: DS is starting to complain about riding the bus although I had to fight to get him on it with the school district. How stupid would we look if we stopped showing up outside. Ughhh I feel like he's just making excuses about why he doesn't want to ride. He was so excited about it before. He always flip flops, it's aggravating.
Plans for the week? Soccer practice on Thursday. I think that's it.
How are YOU doing? I'm doing okay. The long weekend was nice. DH had Friday off while DS still had school so we had a nice day together & then yesterday DS went to a STEM camp that is hosted by the same group that he did a couple of summer camps through. He had a great time so the breaks were nice.
Q's/Vent? We sent out 24 invites for his b-day party on Sunday & have only had 5 responses so far. I'm getting antsy because we want to have pizza already ordered at the start time & my biggest fear is the people that didn't rsvp just showing up & being short on food. That would piss me off.
QOTW- is anyone interested in a different sort of check in or wanting to start one? I think this one is good!
